CHAPTER IV: Fierce Battle

~Third Person's POV~

When Sesi and Relle felt like falling from the sky, Sesi was the one who witness first the battle below them, the ground was full of demonic beasts and monsters.

"Relle! Open your eyes and grab my hand! We will be landing soon!" Sesi shouted so that Relle could hear her even though there were a gust of strong wind between them.

"What?! How could we land?! We will die!" Relle said in a panic then succeeded on grabbing the right hand of Sesi.

"What are you talking about?! The class you'll choose will help you!" Sesi said while looking the battle below them. "Think clearly of what class that you wanted and the magic system of this world will activate it immediately!"

~×~×~

~Sesi's POV~

Supposedly, I'll think of it as "I landed safely" yet I didn't expect that I effortlessly stomped on something big.

There were dust everywhere that was like a fog. I can't see clearly everything and it was just a deafening silence. After a minute before the fog-like dust surrounding me to disappear, I heard Relle panicking voice above me.

"You're hopeless. I said use your magic to float." I said and I catched her like a princess. "You're now a mage. And a mage can do some flight magic." I said and dropping her on the ground.

"I'm sorry~ I'm still working on it." She said while wiping dust from her dress. "You meanie! You just dropped me like that! Now my precious butt~" Relle whining about how I carelessly drop her on the ground.

"Relle, call me Arriah in this world. Now, what name will I call you?" I said on her telepathically.

"Alice! Call me Alice." She shouted telepathically. I wince a little bit for it was too loud on my mind.

"Don't raise your voice, I can hear you clearly." I rebuked her. She just gestured sorry like praying.

I checked my surroundings. All the demonic beasts and monsters, and all human was staring at us or…more likely on the demonic dragon that was now unconsciously lying on the ground. Oh yeah! I'm the one who stomped on it when I landed.

I look around if there were faces that could be familiar. My eyes landed on a woman who was obviously shocked and scared whose sitting on the ground. I looked at her and felt worried, I felt something stung my heart. To the fact that she was familiar to me, it aches my heart seeing her eyes like been terrified.

"Lillian…" The only word that came out from my mouth, while looking at her intently.

~Lillian's POV~

The last thing I remembered was that I am face-to-face with the demonic dragon. I felt terrified, my knees got weak and ended up sitting on the ground… helplessly.

I shut my eyes and deeply prayed.

"Please someone save me…please someone save us! I don't want to die…please help us…"

Those are the only words that I could think of.

Suddenly I felt an immeasurable energy. I felt like a bit of my energy was taken and was evaporated through the wind.

I definitely felt a familiar magical energy.

When I opened my eyes to check what was happening, dust was enveloping everything in sight. It was like a fog of dust. It was a deafening silence.

When a soft air blown all the dust away, I can now see clearly the demonic dragon was completely unconsciously lying on the ground. And the one who stood gallantly above it was a woman with an immeasurable magical energy. She effortlessly catched someone and carelessly dropped it on the ground. They were talking or more likely one of them was complaining.

She looked at me like she know me before. But I can't remember if we met before. She said something…but I can't hear it clearly.

Everyone was speechless and most of us are now more terrified of our situation. Aside from the fierce battle we are facing towards demonic beasts and monsters, we are now facing another unexpected… predicament. It could be they're allies or one of the demonic realm.

~Third Person's POV~

Lillian was helped by a white haired man who was estimated same age with her. This man was their own sage in their land/ territory. As Lillian was the wife of the Commander of Andromeda Knights of the Andromeda Empire. Which is those who had higher positions even in the military force of a country will still be honored as a duke or any nobility rank then afterwards rewarded a land according to its title.

"Lady Lillian! Are you okay? Do you have any injuries? Please tell me so that I can cast healing magic on—" the sage said worriedly to Lillian who was still in the process of recovering herself mentally and emotionally.

"T-Thank you for your concern. I'm not fatally injured. Just small bruises in my palm and knees." She said calmly while still not taking her eyes off from the two individuals that recently arrived in front of them. She's still nervous of what will happen next to all of them.

It was like thinking that it was a good thing that the demonic dragon was now unconscious yet, she felt uneasy from the sudden changes in their situation.

"U-Umm…w-who are—" Lillian couldn't finish of what she's going to say when she was cut off by Alice.

"Ahh I think you should tell your comrades or your people to retreat. We will introduce ourselves later." Alice said suggestively while examining Lillian from head to toe.

"A-Ah! You're right. Please tell everyone to retreat and bring all the wounded near the tent for treatment!" Lillian shouted then everyone who heard it immediately followed the instructions. Some of the capable officers of the soldiers led some of their comrades to safely to the camp.

When all the soldiers safely retreated, Arriah gave instructions to Alice.

"Alice, make a wide-range barrier to protect them. Please use area heal and area recovery to heal everyone inside of it." Arriah said while still looking intently to all their incoming horde of demonic beasts and monsters.

"I can do that even though my body was still adjusting on this world's magic system. But please! Let me fight with you!" Alice stubbornly said to Arriah.

"We will fight together! But please listen to me. You don't have to worry, all of these are a piece of cake. Did you forget of who am I?" Arriah confidently said then she softly wave her hand from her left to right side of her peripheral vision. Then thousands of dark violet flames are floating infront of them. She snap and all of those flames formed into swords. "I'm Arriah, the one who made the magic system of this world." She then smiled on Alice.

Alice smiled back and nod as affirmation on what Arriah said. She immediately make the barrier and starting on using area heal and area recovery.

In Arriah's situation, she felt upset, relieved and happy when they arrived in the world she obviously abandoned, as a plan to try her best to live normally. Upset, when she witness such horrendous and terrible situation of this world, relieved when they made it in time in saving people, and happy as she was not alone this time thus she found a comrade and friend who wanted to fight with her.

She raised her right hand in the air and calmly said the specific incantations though some of it are totally said in mind.

"Sense fecundity."

"Instill detect."

"Bleed—blood take."

"Sealed by Enchantment absorption."

"Ancient thousand swords."  The final incantation that Arriah said and brought back down her hand—as a signal for the magic to initiate its goal.

In a blink of an eye, all the demonic beasts and monsters are struck, decapitated, and sliced into half by it. All are killed and no one could escape. After the scream of pain coming from all the enemies, it was a deafening silence after it.

Everyone who witness the one-sided battle was astonished and can't explain through words of what they saw.

Arriah walked towards Alice who was also stunned. She tilted her head a bit and throw a questioning look to Alice.

"Alice? World to Alice!" She annoyingly said to Alice who looked at her like she was a ghost.

"A-Arriah! Welcome back." She finally said after regaining herself from the amazing feat of her friend. "Oh yeah! All of the people here are completely healed. I used two magic that you told me." Alice smiled genuinely.

After a few minutes of silence, someone from the crowd shouted.

"We w-won! All the enemies are defeated single handedly! Hail to our hero!" Someone rejoiced and kneeled on the ground crying with joy.

"Hail to our hero!" Everyone followed. "Victory for our land! Victory for the Kingdom of Urania! Victory for the Andromeda Empire!" Everyone shouted with tears, a tears of joy.

It was a joyful moment for all of them. As it was a battle that they thought they would all die. But in the nick of time, the two individuals that suddenly appeared in their midst was now a sudden ray of hope for them. Though they lost some of their companions which is also a sad part of it but still, they were happy as they claimed the victory in a fierce battle where they fight for.

A man who most likely in his mid-30s came to Arriah and Alice. Looking at his posture and aura he could be one of the officers of the soldiers or knights.

"If it is not rude to ask, can I know who are these guests?" He said politely and genuinely smiled to the both of them. Everyone followed the man behind him and stared at them waiting for their answers.

"I'm Arriah. And this is my comrade and a friend, Alice." Arriah said politely and calmly. Both of them smiled to everyone, bowed for a moment and then wait for the response of the man who approached them.

"Nice to meet you heroes! I am the vice-commander of Andromeda Knights. I'm Evander Terra." a man with a gigantic body-frame, a mahogany type of brown hair, hazelnut color of its eyes, and a man that is free-spirited.

"E-Excuse me…" Lillian anxiously said and stuttered a bit. Arriah could tell that the lady was nervous on approaching them.

"Oh! Anyway, Lady Arriah and Lady Alice. This is the wife of our commander and the lord of Triangulum. Lady Lillian 'Augus' Sanguinus." Evander said energetically introducing Lillian. Arriah observed that the lady was blushing, maybe she was still nervous that was her inner thoughts. "And the white-haired man here is no other than, our greatest sage of Triangulum, Sir Adrian." He then hold the left wrist of the white-haired man then raised it in the air like winning a wrestling game. The named Adrian punched the side of Sir Evander.

"Yo! Adrian Lussios, your magic was amazing. Hoping I could learn from you two." He said in a friendly manner. Even though, this man was obviously not in a talkative side or not a social person.

"Nice to meet you, Lady Lillian and Sir Adrian." Arriah calmly said, of course in a friendly tone.

"Hi Lady Lillian! Hi there Great Sage of Triangulum Sir Adrian! I'm Alice but not from the wonderland! Hahahaha" Alice said while laughing on her own humor but the latter didn't get it. She then realized what she had done. "Sorry~sorry, my bad!" She said and she cleared her throat before speaking while others are too stunned to speak either confused. While Arriah felt the second hand embarrassment. "Yeah, again, I'm Alice. Please take care of us." She added and bowed for a moment.

Lillian also bowed for a moment and gestured them to make their way to the tent where she was staying. The vice-commander discussed some few things to Adrian and he went back to his fellow men, then Adrian followed them to the tent.

When they entered the tent that was temporary used as conference room, Lillian requested Adrian to make some coffee and tea. While making themselves settled and comfortable enough on their seats, Lillian started to speak.

"Let me express my sincere gratitude Lady Arriah and Lady Alice, for saving us. Not just you saved us from the demonic dragon but you had defeated all the demonic species, and even healed all of the gravely injured people of Triangulum. Words are not enough to thank you." She said in a grateful tone and at the same time apologetically said. "And let me apologize,as we let you to finish our own battle, even though you recently came here." She added.

Arriah sighed and calmly said, "No need to apologize. Having you to offered us such hospitality, even though we only met a few minutes ago, we're happy that the rest of you are now safe." Then she nod a bit for Adrian who put her coffee in a cup. While Alice was in her own pace enjoying her tea. "Let me say something that could spark your interest, may I?" She said in a serious tone and put lightly the cup on its own small plate. She cross her arms against her chest, she smiled and carefully say the words.

"Did you really forget me…Little Lillian?" She teasingly said to Lillian, who was now stunned and clearly confused after hearing those words from Arriah.

Even Alice who knows nothing about the real Arriah, was now quiet, stared at Arriah as she was patiently waiting of what will happen next with Adrian who was also stunned of what he heard.

___________

Clearly, another deafening silence.
