Roan traveled towards the North. Where the Skeleton army summoner was hiding from the Evils. The path was perilous as monsters were along the way. Feral rotten or so they were called in monster bibliography. They have faster speed compared to rotten and they have thinner builds and were lighter too. Faster and has a burst of energy as they attack.
Roan found a group, eating several corpses on the road. Mouths were bloody and saw-like. Bits of flesh were still hanging on their mouths as they chewed.
Roan drew his two sword swords and saw that the enemies were still eating. They only knew his presence after Roan dashed and skewered two with his weapon. Making them wail during the process.
Shriek!
Roan then drew his swords after twisting them. Killing them immediately. He ran towards the others and they attacked simultaneously. They thought that their numbers were enough for him. No human was brave enough to solo them all up until now.
Roan then sheathed his weapons and threw at them his throwing daggers. Raining them with daggers that landed on their bodies. Some landed on their shoulders and some were on their foreheads. The lucky ones were alive and the ones struck on their heads went stumbling on the ground like a limp corpses.
Roan then drew his longsword and slashed at the enemies. One feral darted at him and its claws were ready to rip him. But Roan sidestepped while rotating and slashed its whole shoulders apart.
The other two attacked on both sides and Roan rotated while slashing. Decapitating one with his horizontal slash and another diagonal rising slash on the other one. Cleaving from the shoulders towards the waist.
They went limp immediately and then Roan was attacked by more enemies. He was surrounded!
Roan then threw a tear gas potion while covering his mouth and eyes then backflipped away from them. Escaping them immediately.
They went shrieking as their eyes burned and they can't breathe. Roan then took the chance to attack them while he still had time.
He slashed and hacked the enemies with his sword and their limbs were cut. From their elbows to thighs. Roan did not spare. Roan liked dismembering them, especially the legs and thighs as they would only crawl to the ground afterward. They were all down!
He then soon stabbed them one by one and they all were looking at him with disdain and anger. Others bellowed and shouted at him with annoyance. They were like sitting ducks waiting for slaughter.
"Grovel in the ground. I liked to watch you all with that looks in your eyes,"
Roan then finished them all off and traveled forth toward the path. He then saw a forest ahead. Dead and withering. He can only click his tongue as it was void of life.
Roan then entered the forest. The path leading inside. The side of the road was full of dead brushes and leaves. Owls hoot as the moon was slowly being covered by clouds. Though the wind was not very cold that moment. It was refreshing and not chilly. Maybe it was due to the forest, Roan didn't know the answer.
He then saw leaves fall from the trees and were carried by the wind. Looking at them, he felt a subtle emotion of loneliness. Dispersing his thoughts not minding it for a moment, he saw a huge tomb that has a gate halfway buried from the ground. It was more of an ancient tomb that was nearly a ruin and was abandoned with the passing of time.
Approaching the gate, Roan saw that the necromancer runes glowed and the door opened with a thud. Leaving some dust on the air during the process. Roan then saw spiraling stairs downwards and saw the torches lit up on the walls one by one below towards him above.
Roan then descended and his steps echoed downstairs. Making the hollow walls sound deep inside. The door then closed aboveground and then Roan saw a door below. It has a more open space further. A light was seen exuding from the inside. Making him hasten his steps to see what was inside.
Roan then arrived at the place and was perplexed at what he saw. The Guardian was already waiting for him. Standing opposite to him was the one he was here for. He has tattered dark robes and a staff in his left hand.
"I say you have traveled far to see me. I know what you seek young one. I did not want unworthy ones to inherit my book. There is always a test for those who seek to find it and wanted to inherit it," he said in a low old voice.
"If that is the only way, I will try. Though you are right to only give it to worthy. I already have the Summon elite skill book of the Summoner elite guardian. I hope I will pass your test," Roan said in a confident tone. No fear was seen in his eyes.
"Haha, he finally gave it! Such a fellow. You are lucky child, or strong rather. To pass his test, that is. Well, no time to waste. I can feel that danger is looming and you have the potential. We'll see," He scratched his chin and then inhaled deeply.

The enemies then flooded the vicinity and Roan was overwhelmed. He saw a hundred of them in number.
"Defeat 10 each from one army one by one. Don't worry, I am merciful, I will not let them flood you all at once," He then chuckled. Roan was beginning to feel his heart race. He did not know what he had delved into.
"Of course, you can't use your necromancer skills this time. Defeat them with your own strength," he then sat on his throne and watched him.
He has to defeat them or else all his hard work would be a waste. He needed to pass and he was left with no choice. There's no cowering anymore. There's no turning back!
