Chapter 24

Weapons double my size, swing from all directions. giant longswords from my 5 and 8, double sided war axes from my 3 and 9, a spa... spade? . spears and halberds, swords and axes, Hammers and daggers. weapons flying from all sides.

there was no point in blocking any of them, I decided to use Lukas' strategy and blast every one of them away, but had to time the explosion to the moment when their weapons hit me.

I had to time the explosion to the hit, because when the weapons made impact the HobGoblins were flustered for a split second, seeing that their attacks did nothing. in that moment of carelessness the explosion knocked them back far enough so I had enough breathing room.

the 「Curse Flame」re ignited and with a short burst of 「Dark Roar」I spread the black flames all around me. The Horn wielding HobGoblin noticed the Curse Flames power and blew the horn to negate the effects.

the 11 HobGoblins rush back in, trying to stop me from attacking the support, but I'm not like that, I like fighting strong opponents, If I wanted to kill the support, it'd be dead by now.

only reason I had yet to kill the HobGoblins was because I wanted to test my new Gauntlets and a new technique I came up with.

during my brake, I had come up with a new rune 「Rewind」which can rewind the effects of previous runes, with this new rune I can use the small scale 「Comet」skill but then return my gauntlets back, instead of destroying them like last time.

suddenly my gauntlets get covered in black flames and dark claws, they blast off towards the faces of my unsuspecting foes, when the HobGoblin notices my attack, it tried to block it with its sword, just before the gauntlet collided with the wide sword that covered the HobGoblin's face, with a snap of my fingers, small runes appear on the gauntlet, instantly flying it back and returning them on my hands. too bad for the HobGoblin I was right in front of it now with my other hand primed and ready for a mighty slash.

the others try to rush in and interfere, but a green head was already flying through the air.

"That guy must have been a total air head, am I right" I turn and strike a pose at the other HobGoblins, which in turn, get heated and rush in with no care for their well-being.

whilst I'm still in my pose, a broad sword straight out of Monster**nter comes gliding through the air horizontally, wanting to slice my head off starting form my eyes.

leaning back, I limbo under the sword but get catapulted away by the hammer that was coming from behind the sword, sadly my knockback resistance wasn't strong enough to keep me standing.

Thankfully the Goblin ring was in my way, so I had a soft landing for the price of 5 goblins. when I regain my balance, i see a spade coming at my feet whilst a halberd is aiming for my neck.

with a quick jump, I evade the spade because I don't want to ruin my boots, and get slashed by the halberd. like a spinning wheel I go flying towards another part of the Goblin ring, taking down another 3 Goblins.

With a quick checkup on the status of my gear, I get back into fighting mode.
