"Do you know what 'Limollac' means?"
Siegren then glanced at the book the old man was holding, which had a magic circle on it. In that magic circle was a dissected pentagram, consisting of many details of inscriptions engraved around the insides of the circle.
The old man approached Siegren, with eyeglasses reflecting the young man in front of the study.
"In the ancient language of alchemy," said the old man. "Limollac translates into a single, unused word."
Siegren then looked down into the book.
"Cursed." The old man said. He then handed Siegren the book, which Siegren took. With grey eyes scanning the content of the opened page, Siegren noticed in the faded ink a translation for the magic circle.
L i m o l l a c
Cursed one
Damned
Ill-fated
"Limollac is an obsolete terminology in alchemy. It pertains to a person who is condemned. I've read several books published many years ago, and I thought what you two were searching for was familiar."
