I was fool

He murmured, "Adela," with narrowed eyes of worry. "I was quite concerned about you."

"Wait? What?" Adela was shocked to hear Francis since, in her previous existence, he had not come to meet her, so why had he come this time? Or perhaps Francis arrived, and she was unaware of it? Adela thought to herself.

But Adela lifted her face and said to Francis, "You know, we are going to meet tonight? You shouldn't have come here straight."

Francis interrupted Adela as she was chastising him for what he had done by saying, "It's okay, Adela. I can do anything for you."

Adela's eyes misted up. She smiled slightly and lowered her head.

Now that she understood, she realized how foolish she was. She wasn't even able to save him in his previous life. Even though she was the best sorceress in this realm, she couldn't help anyone, and she felt completely worthless.

Additionally, this man approached her straight from the battle.

Francis tilted his head and said, "Adela." Adela controlled her tears as she turned her head to look up at him. "I also have a surprise for you," she remarked as she sighed.

Francis raised one eyebrow in bewilderment. As Francis was about to react, Adela yelled Camilla's name.

"Camilla."

From behind a pillar, Camilla came out and approached them. When Camilla noticed they were staring at her, she timidly smiled. "How are you, Francis?" she remarked as she drew near to them.

"I'm fine, Camilla," Francis replied with a smile."I hope everything is well with you as well."

Camilla said, in a word, seeming to be shy, "yes."

Francis Beal, the second Marquis's son. He is a skilled fighter. He is an expert swordsman and attacker, ready to handle any risky situation. He is an excellent defender. He was Alfred's student. Francis, Adela, and Camilla have been friends since they were children.
