Thunder's Breakthrough

Sitting behind a tablet, Li Chen gazed at the image displayed on the screen. It was an astonished Xiu Ying gazing at the dish.

He had no idea someone else was about to steal the glory of his work.

Wrapping his fingers around the cold glass cup filled with wine, he lifted it off the table. However, his strength suddenly left his body, causing the cup to fall.

Glass shards flew as the cup slammed against the ground and shattered. As for Li Chen, he leaned against the monitor like a man who was asleep.

"It's been two weeks and he still shows signs of life but the doctor can't treat him. Brother Chu, let's dispose of this man before he eventually dies!" 

A faint voice drifted into Li Chen's ears. 

"But he fainted at my shop. It's my responsibility to nurse him back to health." Another voice rang.

Groaning, Li Chen lifted his right hand and the sound of hurried footsteps on the floorboards reverberated.
