" Shit." Keir cursed as the light slowly blinded his eyes. His mind drifted and entered inside his body. He quietly got up from the bed and went to the shower.
With a quick splash of water to the face, he became more aware of the surroundings. He looked at himself in the mirror. A grumpy pale face and a thick hair covering his forehead.
" I look like a homeless thug." He commented to himself and left the bathroom. Water dripping from the hair, he searched for the glasses.
He then opened the door and left the dorm.
His destination was the school cafeteria. On the way he checked his wrist and saw a number.
10:34 Am.
Damn,I sleep like a pig.
Keir heard a sound emitted from his stomach due to hunger. He quickened his pace.
He checked his phone and opened up the net.
There was news about last night's accident but Keir chose to ignore it. He didn't want to think about that kind of stuff while eating. He closed his phone and noticed that he had arrived at the cafeteria.
He went to the chef without wasting a moment. There were not that many people in the cafeteria. Maybe because it was the weekend. People usually stayed outside of the university weekend.
He ordered soup and some fried chicken. He also grabbed a milk glass and a fried potato. After ordering the meal, the bill came.
Keir sighed and paid the bill with his phone.
Rude. Always thinking about money.
Keir sat on the corner of the cafeteria not because he was being mysterious. He did it because the sun was beaming down the cafeteria and the AC was broken. The only air the cafeteria got was from the window.
So staying on the corner was the best choice. It got a nice shadow and he could watch his favorite video on the net without people looking at him with a judgmental eye.
He searched for the perfect video and found the one.
Age old analysis of famous Villains.
As if the mother's luck was blessing him,the food came to him when he set up his phone. Keir thanked the waiter and started devouring his meal.
Half an hour passed.
Keir finished his meal. He wiped his mouth with the tissue and popped open the milk he bought. He savored the sweetness and gave the video he watched a massive like.
As he was enjoying life with a full stomach, someone sat in front of his seat.
The man was huge and he wore a formal suit on a hot day. His fat double chin was the only thing unique about him. It wobbled each time he breathed. The man's name was Melon.
He was known as Professor Melon in this university.
Keir raised an eyebrow and greeted.
" How is your day, sir? I will give my essay on Monday since I have a very tight schedule right now."
Melon took out a piece of paper from his suit and showed it to Keir. Keir noted down the information and smiled.
" I see." Keir said. " Can I change Monday to Wednesday? Something serious came up."
Professor Melon put the paper into his mouth and chewed.
Yuck! Keir thought.
Professor Melon remained calm and spoke in a slow movement. Every word felt like a fatty child who just learned to crawl.
" That's so. I shall burn my time for you." Professor Melon got up and disappeared from Keir's sight.
I wish they chose another messenger.
Keir said inwardly. He felt horrible disgust near Melon. If not for him being a messenger, he would have killed him already.
Keir thought. The meeting is Monday. On the Flnor Hotel. Time is night. I guess the leaders were nervous about last night. Can't blame them, it is such a grand opportunity if my prediction came alive.
He got up from the table and headed to the dorm. He got what he wanted and it was time to go home.
As he was heading toward the third floor, he met Fred who seemed like a fragile old patient. His natural smile vanished and the dark circles formed beneath his eyes.
" What's wrong?" Keir immediately struck up conversation. He needed to know what that woman chose.
Last night, he dropped her in the middle of the cemetery. Only waking up, he connected the dots. The woman was from Fred's group. He still did not know the name but at least he closed the area of her location.
Right now, if Fred showed some kind of fright toward him, he would kill him. Quick and merciless.
" You are right." Fred grabbed his arm. " Last night was crazy and I mean not that kind of crazy but a different kind of crazy."
" Tell me about it." Keir said, shaking Fred from his arm.
" Emma. You know her right? Previous year Queen. Second year students. Our first junior." Fred said.
Keir nodded. " I remember. She was quite the talk for a week among the group. What happened to her?"
" She got assaulted by some drunk guys in the cemetery. Her clothes were torn and there was blood on the scene." Fred sighed. " Poor woman. She must be too traumatized."
Keir put on a frightened expression. " Why is she in the cemetery alone? I thought you guys were celebrating the first years."
" We are but you know there was alcohol and there was a bit of dumbness to us. We suggested playing with courage alone. At first I volunteered to place some landmarks. I checked the area and found no one. A few of the first year played as well. Then it was Emma's turn."
Fred scratched his head.
" Then she didn't come back. We thought she was just taking her time so we just continued with our little game. And time passed. My girlfriend got worried and pressured us to look for her."
" We found her. The sight was not pleasant. I can smell blood in the air. She must have been hurt badly. We sent her to the hospital and contacted her family. They said they were coming quickly. It will take about two weeks."
Keir was amused. There was nothing about his name or Phantom. He felt a bit disappointed that his name didn't come up.
" I will visit her tomorrow." Keir whispered.
Fred heard that and nodded. He gave a knowing look at Keir's direction and patted his shoulder.
" I know you have a crush on her. She is hospitalized in Hiewbard Rosy Hospital. Room 309." Fred rubbed his eyes and yawned.
" I will catch some sleep."
Keir simply stood on the stair looking at Fred's back.
When did I have a crush on her? Is it because I talked too much about her last year? I mean everyone is talking about her. Why me?
Maybe he has only seen me have a reaction when things are related to her. Guess I put too much effort on my persona.
Keir smirked and slightly shook his head. He entered his room.
