At the Mon dragon mansion,

Rome city

Italy.

Aria POV

We all stood perplexed as we stared at Nicolas who was clad in a black suit and beside him was a lady who was dressed in a white floral gown

"Nico, what's going on here, who is she",Mrs Genna Mon dragon asked

"Mom, she is by name Vida la Cruz and she's my lovely wedded wife,"he responded earning a shocked look from us that was present

"Your wife, wait I don't understand, what do you mean by wife," maria asked as she stuttered

He sighed and turned to looked at her

"What do you not understand, she's my wife, the woman whom I love and want to spend the rest of my life with, "Nico responded "she's the reason I do not want to get married to you"

"How could you do this, how could you go against your brother wishes, why did you do this to me, yes I know we don't love each other but we could have made it work, I love you Nick, I love you," Maria said in tears

"I tried loving you but I couldn't okay I'm sorry," Nicolas responded and Maria looked at him for the last time before she left the mansion

"Nicolas, I always support you but this time around I won't , I can't go against your brother, you'll dance to the tune of the music," Mrs Genna said and turned taking her leave

"l have to be on my way but you miss Vida la Cruz are welcome to the Mon dragon mansion," I responded earning a smile from the newest bride of the Mon dragon family

I turned and took my leave

Vida POV

I walked into the room after Nico as i was left in awe, I have seen a lot of beautiful decor but the Mon dragon mansion is truly the best as rumors says

You are welcome to our room love, I'm sure you love it, he said and I looked at him as I nodded

Yes I love it Nico, I certainly do, I exclaimed with a smile on my lips but then it curved to a frown

What's wrong Vida, he asked and I sighed

"Everything is wrong Nick, your family don't approve of our relationship, I told you this was wrong, we shouldn't have gotten married, no you should have....."

He interrupted me as he placed his lips on mine and kissed me passionately, after some minutes he unlocked staring at me

"I don't regret my decision vida, I don't love Maria so why should I have gotten married to her, it is you I love didn't I say that I'll fight the entire world to be with you, I meant it and I meant all the vows I made on the alter, I don't regret anything Vida",he said and an assuring smile crept my lips

"Thank you Nicolas, I'm indeed lucky to have a man as you as my husband," I responded and he smiled pulling me into a hug

"Of course you are darling, I'm also lucky to have you as my wife, I love you," he said

"l love you more," I responded with a cheerful smile on my face

I disengaged from the hug as I faced him

Who's the lady that had welcome me, I asked

"That's Ariella Giovanni Mon dragon, my brother's wife," he responded and I smiled "what's up with that smile"

"I never knew Giovanni Mon dragon has a lovely and beautiful lady as his wife, he's lucky, and I like her," I responded

"Well he's lucky but she isn't," he said

"What do you mean," I asked and he sighed

"That shouldn't be our problem Vida," he responded and I bit my lips as I stared at him as he made his way to the restroom

Aria POV

Seated on the stool that was located at the vanity, I stared at myself in the mirror as tears strolled down my cheeks

I tried to wipe it but the more I do, it strolled, this wasn't the life I had wanted for myself, no it wasn't, I wanted to be an independent lady and not an housewife, I wanted a man who'll love and respect me and not him, I wanted to have a beautiful family comprising of both me, my husband and my two children who'll be named Danielle and Marco, they would always run around the house while I chase after them, that's the life I always wanted and not this.

I love my husband of course I love him but he doesn't, he doesn't even care if I exist or not as to him our marriage was nothing but a business proposal

Yes, our marriage was to breached a deal between him and my dad's company but that doesn't mean that we won't try to work on it, I want to build this relationship, I want to fulfill dreams with him, I want him to be the father of my children but right now as things are turning out to be there is no chance of that happening.

Sighing, I was finally able to wipe the tears that strolled down my cheeks due to the sound of gunshot I heard

Well sound of gunshot indicate that he is back

Alighting down the stairs, I went to where the family members stood and waited

The Mon dragon family consist of Mrs Genna, who is my mother in law although I'm not allowed to refer her as that as her son hasn't accepted me yet and then Nicholas Mon dragon, the second son of Mrs Genna who really loves to get on his brother tail and then the baby of the house, Rikelle Mon dragon who is still in college giving her the privilege of not getting entangled with the family matter.

Everyone was present except for Vida who was in her room, I guess.

Vida pov

Nicolas had told me to stay in the room but I couldn't so I came out of the room and head to the lounge but stopped as I got to the stairs

The heavy door came open and he walked in majestically after maids and guards lined up to welcomed him

I couldn't take my eyes away from him as he looked like a demi god sent from heaven down to earth.

No one had informed me that he was this good looking, I was taken a back when his gaze met with mine,out of fear I hide behind one of the pillars.
