Chapter 87: Searching for Gwyneth
“We will have to go out and ask the guards outside if they saw anything suspicious,” Richard responded to Raylene’s statement.
“Then, let’s go and find out now,” Raylene suggested. She tugged at Richard’s hand and led the way to the entrance hall.
There were no guards around in their usual places.
“Did you find Gwyneth?” Steven asked from behind Richard and his sister.
“I was chatting to Raven and I thought that she was still dancing with Adrian,” Steven said in a tense tone of voice and an anxious look in his eyes.
“The guards are not in their usual place. I should find out where they are,” Richard commented as he looked at Steven.
“Why? Do you think that Gwyneth went past the guards then?” Adrian asked from behind Steven.
“Apparently, because I can’t imagine that she would have ventured further into the palace,” Raylene responded with a deep frown between her brows.
“But, why would she go outside without telling us?” Steven asked with a note of panic in his voice.
