Chapter 72: Speculations in the Library
“Raven recently told Richard the story about his twin brother who was abducted years ago,” Raylene remarked, cupping her chin speculatively as she stared at her uncle.
“So, Raven is afraid that this twin will show up and he will have to share the throne when he rules after his twenty-first birthday,” Richard remarked.
“And it seems now as if that twin has arrived dead on time,” Raylene said with her eyes wide and her brows raised high at her uncle.
Sir George let out a heavy sigh and rubbed his hand across his forehead.
“You see, it was not likely that he would return after such a long time and I was going to tell you about him after you each turn twenty-one because the news might disorientate you so that you wouldn’t be able to concentrate on your studies,” he explained in a slow and strained tone of voice.
“So, you didn’t think that someone could beat you to it? Raylene asked, shaking her head in disbelief.
