Chapter 47: Failing to be Grateful
“Oh, so, tell me. How long have you been feeling like this, or rather, when did you notice this about me?” Steven asked with a worried look on his face at this point.
“Well, I think that as children we don’t question our parents because that’s all that we know at that point. Even if we notice that we’re different from them, our minds will tell us that there’s nothing wrong even if something is really obvious,” Gwyneth responded.
“I can understand that, but when did you find out that I look different?” Steven asked with his eyes stretched wide in shock.
“Oh don’t worry about that. Maybe it’s just the way that I look at people. Maybe you’re still gonna look like them when you’re older,” Gwyneth replied.
“Just tell me if I’ve been living in a fool’s paradise all my life. I might need the straightening out,” Steven requested as he fumbled with his hands nervously.
