Chapter 23: Speculations about Lucinda
Richard felt the back of his neck grow hot as a flush of embarrassment swept over him.
“Alright then. Best to do things the right way,” the receptionist answered.
Richard could not wait to get home and ask Raylene to do the booking for him. He hoped that she would agree and not be upset that he had tried to do the booking on his own.
“If he knew about this Raven would surely say that I’m much too young to be playing private investigator,” Richard said to himself as he finally drove off. It felt like ages since Raven had left the shopping center.
“Both Raven and Richard were very happy an hour later when they were expecting the dancer to show up.
“Her name is supposedly Lucinda. At least that’s what the agency said,” Raylene explained with a frown after making the booking.
“Do you think it could be her real name?” Richard asked with his eyebrows raised suspiciously.
