Chapter 18: Inside the Shoe Shop
“Does the word ‘Inca’ mean that she has some connections with Indians from the past?” he asked himself as he walked along the busy mall corridors and hallways.
“She has to get her powers from somewhere, silly!” he reprimanded himself with a light tap on his head. “Why was I thinking of this as simple and harmless? What if something goes wrong with this consultancy and I haven’t told anyone else about it?” he asked himself.
“I won’t allow her to do anything which doesn’t sit well with me,” he concluded firmly. “And next time I should inform a third person in case this woman makes me disappear or worse. What if she turns me into some creature? A wild animal?” he thought inwardly.
It seemed as if the name of the shop popped up in front of him out of the blue as he walked with a little less anticipation than that with which he had arrived at the Mall.
“Well, let’s get started,” he told himself as he bravely walked towards the entrance of the shop.
