But What?

"Your cousin is just too naughty. He is so eager to get down to the real business even after I assured him that I am all his tonight and even forever," Giavanna announced. She caressed the back of Xander's neck to further annoy Eve. 

And she didn't even attempt to push him off her body as she did this.

She grinned inwardly when she noticed that her plans worked. Seeing Eve's uneasy look made her feel happy.

"Let me help you," Eve offered. She hurried to the white side table and dropped the bowl on top of it.

While Giavanna tried to push Xander off her body, she just couldn't stop staring at Eve's eyeballs which currently contained so much anger in them.

"You can leave now. I will be the one to clean his body..."

"But..."

"But what?" Giavanna snapped.

"Didn't you see how excited he is? You are a single lady, I am afraid that I wouldn't be able to stop him from offending you with how touchy he is. So heed my advice and leave hmm?" Giavanna murmured. 

The way she wouldn't stop smiling and acting cute fueled Eve's desire to strangle her right there.

Eve turned and ambled towards the door but halted before she could reach the door.

"Big Sis, are you really sure you want me to leave?" Eve asked. It was so obvious she didn't want the couple to stay alone in the room together.

"Of course, Eve. Goodnight," Giavanna replied and waved at her. 

The moment Eve closed the door behind her, Giavanna flung away Xander's hand which was on her face.

"You will only have a goodnight if you are actually able to fall asleep and I doubt that will happen tonight," Giavanna mumbled. She stood up and walked away from the bed.

After she confirmed that Eve had entered her room, Giavanna snuck out of her husband's room. She didn't forget to lock the door and made it look like it was locked from the inside.

Inside the guest room, the two guys who were about to retire for the night were stunned to see their bedroom flung open and Giavanna walked in.

Zeus, who had already laid down, climbed out of bed and hurried to join her on the couch where she made herself comfortable.

"Didn't you go through all that hassle because you wanted to spend the night with your husband so what are you doing in our room?" Roman beats the astounded Zeus to ask first even though he was still at the same spot Giavanna met him.

"I only said I had the perfect plan to make sure that my enemy never gets a wink of sleep and I happened to have achieved that. But I don't recall ever saying I wanted to spend the night with him," Giavanna snapped and leaned her back against the blue couch.

"Also the mere thought of sleeping beside him made me feel repulsive so how could you possibly expect me to share a bed with him?" She added and crossed her legs.

"Wouldn't your plans fail if you leave him alone in the room..."

"Did you just say my plans would fail?" Giavanna scoffed. She adjusted and sat properly on the couch so that her gaze was on the face of the guy sitting beside her. 

"As we speak, she is pacing about her room like a crazy woman and I bet she will continue this way for the entire night. Tell me, do you still think that my plans have failed?" Giavanna smirked. 

She stood up and strolled to where Roman stood, trying to button up his pyjamas.

"And this is just the tip of the iceberg. The real show starts tomorrow," Giavanna grinned evilly as she reached out her hands and helped Roman with his pyjamas.

"Wait, I thought that your plans would end by stealing her precious sleep away from her tonight. What else are you planning if it doesn't end tonight?" Zeus quizzed.

He moved away from the couch to where Giavanna and Roman were.

"Hmm..." Giavanna trailed. She almost burst out in a peal of deafening laughter when she saw Zeus' curious eyeballs grow wider in anticipation of what she would say.

"That is a secret!" She blurted and moved to the King size bed Roman and Zeus shared.

"Just remember not to get too shocked when you learned what I did," She replied and closed her eyes.

"But that..." Roman grabbed the frowning Zeus whom he was certain would do practically everything to pry the answers out of Giavanna.

"If she said it is a secret then let's leave it at that. Also, she had such a stressful day with all the preparations. Let's not steal this peaceful moment from her," Roman cut in meekly. He stole a glance at the woman who was pretending to be fast asleep.

Zeus and Roman stood at the same spot and gazed at Giavanna's peaceful expression that could only be seen when she was asleep.

Although she pretended to be invincible and tough all the time, they knew that within her existed explainable pains, they couldn't see.

"I know I am extraordinarily beautiful especially when I am asleep but don't forget that you both have an early morning task to accomplish," Giavanna said with her eyes still closed.

"We were just about to go to bed too," Zeus replied and hurried to join her on the bed.

As always because of her heightened senses, Giavanna had trouble falling asleep. 

While the guys by her sides slept peacefully she sat up and stared at their peaceful faces.

As she stared at their faces, memories of how she met these amazing guys crept into her head.
