Bar fight

"Are you out of your mind? Don't you know we're from the Reaper gang? Go away, keep your two beauties, we won't make things difficult for you," the young leader said fiercely, his eyes continuously darting over Kate and Rose.

"Having scum like you in the Reaper gang is a disgrace," Alex said coldly. If they hadn't been part of the Reaper gang, Alex would have snapped his neck long ago. He gazed icily at the group in front of him.

"You dare insult us? How bold! Today, I'll spill some of your blood so you can see the power of the Reaper gang," the young leader shouted. The dozen men behind him brandished their daggers.

A middle-aged man, leading over ten security guards, hurried over and said to the young leader, "Finn, don't make trouble. Our boss and your boss have a special relationship. If you want to cause trouble, do it outside."

Finn glanced disdainfully at the middle-aged man, lit a cigarette, and struck a pose he thought irresistible. "Your boss is nothing. Even your boss has to respect my boss. Step aside and don't get in the way of my fun."

Alex was puzzled. Could the boss Finn mentioned be Hugh, the general manager of Imperial Holdings? It wasn't necessary for him to personally recruit underlings. Alex decided to find out who this boss was and teach him how to discipline his men.

The middle-aged man had already discerned that Alex was no ordinary person. He wanted to give Finn an out to leave quickly, but Finn was still being an idiot, making him sweat with anxiety.

"Finn, please, don't make trouble here," the middle-aged man pleaded.

"How much is your face worth? Get lost, or I'll knock you down too," Finn said arrogantly.

"Who is your boss? Call him here, and I'll teach him how to manage his subordinates," Alex said dismissively, glancing at Finn.

"Who the hell wants to teach me how to manage my men? I'll let him lie down and leave the royal family," a bull-like voice bellowed. Alex looked up to see a large group approaching. "Seth! Seth!" the people in the bar greeted, nodding their heads.

"Let me see which blind fool wants to teach me, how to manage my men," Seth said with a cold smile.

Seth strode over to Alex, and when he saw him, nearly collapsed. A chill ran down his spine, and he froze in place. Alex smiled faintly, raised his glass, and took a sip of wine. To Seth, Alex's smile was no different from the Grim Reaper's. Trembling, Seth respectfully said, "Alex! I was wrong!"

Everyone around was stunned when he said this. Finn gasped in shock, almost choking on his cigarette. "Boss, who is this guy?" Finn asked, bewildered.

Seth's face turned livid, and he slapped Finn hard, making him spin in place. "Why are you hitting me, Boss? I didn't do anything wrong!" Finn said indignantly.

"I'm not just going to hit you! I'll cripple you! Do you know who you were being arrogant in front of?" Seth roared.

"No! I've never seen him!" Finn said, holding his cheek and shaking his head.

Everyone in the bar strained their ears, eager to know who this young man with two girls by his side was.

Seth kicked Finn again and shouted, "This is Alex, my boss's boss, the chairman of Imperial Holdings."

When Finn realized who the young man was, he was utterly dumbfounded. Everyone in the underworld knew Alex's reputation. Finn felt a chill down his neck as if a knife was pressed against it.

Alex glanced around and said to Seth, "Take him out and break his limbs. As for his followers, break an arm each."

Seth nodded respectfully, then waved to his men. "Take them out," he ordered. Dozens of Seth's men swarmed forward, dragging the unfortunate fools out.

Alex drained the remaining wine in his glass and said to Kate and Rose, "Tonight's activity is over. Let's go."

Rose gazed at Alex with stars in her eyes, nodding involuntarily. She worshiped Alex to the extreme, seeing him as the perfect man. Kate tugged at Rose's hand, smiling, "Lin, don't be scared, let's go." Rose blushed, thinking: I'm not scared, I'm mesmerized by your husband.

Accompanied by the two extraordinary figures, Alex left the Imperial Bar, where everyone wore expressions of admiration.

The next day, Alex appeared in the classroom. During class, he continued playing on his handheld computer. Kate, noticing Alex's irregular attendance and lack of attention, quietly said to him, "The midterm exams are coming up in a few days. Are you planning not to take the exams?"

Alex looked up seriously and replied, "Of course, I'll take them. I aim to surpass you and become the top student in the grade."

Kate turned back and playfully touched Alex's forehead, teasing, "You don't have a fever, so why are you talking nonsense?"

Alex confidently responded, "If nothing unexpected happens, I'll get full marks in all subjects."

"Yeah, right. I bet you'll get zero in every subject," Kate said, disbelieving.

"You'll see after the exams. Trust in your husband's abilities. If I do well, you'll have to give me a special reward," Alex said with a mischievous smile.

"What kind of reward?" Kate asked, puzzled. But when she saw Alex's mischievous grin, she instantly understood and blushed. She raised her delicate fingers, aiming for Alex's waist.

Alex, already prepared, caught her hand and glanced at the teacher on the podium, whispering, "Kate, the teacher is watching you."

Startled, Kate looked towards the podium, only to find the teacher wasn't looking their way. She pouted and ignored Alex.

The teacher on the podium pretended not to notice the students' antics. Alex was someone he couldn't afford to offend. Any accidental interference with their interaction could have serious consequences, so he deliberately avoided looking in Alex's direction.

After lunch with Kate, Alex received a call from Hugh as soon as he entered the classroom. Hugh needed to discuss something urgent, so Alex drove to Imperial Holdings.

As soon as Alex entered the office, Hugh couldn't wait to say, "Chairman, our headquarters in T City and the Reaper gang's branch have been attacked again. Three headquarters were smashed, the Reaper gang's branch was also besieged, over twenty people were injured, and two were killed."

"I told you to handle it completely. Can't you manage this? Have you found out who's behind it?" Alex said sternly.

"We've identified them. It's led by the Inferno gang. They are one of the three major gangs in the North, so I didn't dare make a move without consulting you," Hugh explained.

"The Inferno gang, it seems this big fish couldn't stay hidden. Inform Mark that I'm giving him one more month to train those men properly. During this month, we must endure and avoid direct conflict with the Inferno gang. If there's nothing else, you may leave," Alex instructed.

"I understand, Chairman," Hugh said, exiting the office.
