Chapter 7 – Learning.

The boy had a tree different books in front of him lying open. While the boy was reading one of the books, his maid approached him.

"Young master. I'm sorry to inform you, but we have to head back. It's getting late." – said the maid.

"What? Already?"

'Young master. You already spend few hours in the library." 

(Oh. Reall? Shit. Time really passed by before I knew it.)

"Please wait a moment."

The boy walked towards the lady with the glasses.

"Excuse me. Is it possible to rent out the books?" – said the boy while putting three books on the table.

"Sure. Are those only 3 books you want to borrow? If so, write your name and address here and the title of the books you borrowed."

The boy filled out some papers and left the library with his maid and the books.

"Sorry, I didn't realized that I spend that long in there." – said the boy.

"It's nothing young master, but maybe we shouldn't worry your parents if possible. It maybe a good idea to talk with them if you can stay longer next time." – said the maid while opening the carriage door.

"Well then, shall we head home?" – asked the maid while holding the door open.

"Yes." – said the boy while getting inside of the carriage.

The carriage returned back to the mansion.

After returning back to mansion, the boy quickly returned his room.

"Sorry Allie but could you leave me alone. Just calm me when dinner is ready."

"As you wish." – said the maid before leaving the room.

"…."

"Now then."

The boy took out all three books he got from library on the table and notebook.

"Let's start."

Honestly, I didn't finished reading all the books yet and I doubt even reading them once will help me.

The first I learned about making golems is that making the first steps are the hardest. 

The three main steps in the golem creations are like this.

1 - [Hearth and Energy]

[Golems don't exactly use that much mana to move around, more specifically they need mana to flow through their body to operate correctly. However, golems aren't a living beings to mana disperse from their body. If a person would use golem, they would need to continue to supply it with mana.]

[It is possible to create a golems without a core, but it will depend golem

[This thing made golems kind of useless, but there is a way to resolve it.]

["Golem Hearths" A.K.A "Golems Cores".]

[Golems cores act as the main organ for the golems, with it the golems can operate without a trouble. However, it also end up creating an obvious weakness for the golems.]

[The hearth allows the golem to safely control and transport the mana. Simple put its like hearth and veins.]

[Golems cores can have different values and uses. For example, if you put more powerful core into a same model of the golem, the golem with the better core could do its actions faster and do smother movements. The cores can even posses a different functions that can help in the golem performance.]

[It is possible to create a golem without a need of the golem core that won't lose mana, but it depends on the body.]

[Obviously even if the golems does possess the hearth, it still can run out of the mana and will have to be recharged.]

2 - [Code]

[Golems aren't a living this and can't really thing by themselves. Because of that if the person want the golem to work without their direct control, then they require a special coding to be implanted so the golems can operate by themselves.]

[Simple put, you give an instruction list for the golem to fallow for any specific situation like: "If you see enemy, smash him with your fists."]

[The golems can receive more complicated instructions like "Take out your weapon and use it to block the attacks." However, it need possess a proper body that can operate the directions give.]

[This is bit similar to the manifestation summoning. Manifestation summoning uses mana to create a creature. Those creatures are literally a puppets that needs to be given a commands to operate or controlled directly, but they can also coded just like golems.]

3 - [Body]

[Like said before, the golems needs mana to more around and circulate through their body like veins.]

[However, putting tons of mana into the golem that can't handle it is a problem, for example the extra mana could disperse upon the damage to the body.]

[Golems body needs to be well made and depending on the materials that were used on its creation, the golem performance may change completely.]

[Many things may influence golem performance during the creation process.]

[The one of the mayor thing is between the point 1 and 3. When making the golem core, you need to make a proper body to handle the core. Simple put you can't just put core A when the golem can only use core B. If you want to give the golem different core, things need to readjusted to both the golem and the core.]

"By the look of things making golems isn't that easy. It will probably take me long time before I make one that can even take a single step."

(But it maybe the only thing that can help me grow strong enough.)

(However, I can't only focus on the golems. I need to keep up with my earth magic training.)

(I also should try and learn summoning magic. Manifestation summoning may end up helping in some ways with my golem in the future.)

"There is a lot of things to do and learn."

"Well, its not like complain. This was my decision. I just hope I won't regret it."

[5 months later.]

"Common. Work this time!"

A rock like object with a pair of the scrappy looking legs made out of the rocks.

The rock like object lifted its feet from the ground, however the next second it launched it forwards and made the creation lose the balance and fall over.

"Fuck…. Another failure. Coding the manuals is way harder than I though."

Uri right now was inside of his own room. In the middle of the room, the weird construction of the stones was located and on one of the walls opposite to the windows, there was a wall with many different notes hanging on the wallboard.

"Well, at least this time the other leg didn't went on rampage. That is progress. Maybe."

[Basic Earth Magic] -> [Earth Magic] level 1.

[Basic Non Elemental Magic] level 2 -> [Basic Non Elemental Magic] level 7.

[Basic Summoning Magic] Level 1 [NEW]

(Fuck me. Forget learning making golems, I first need to learn how to code them and make an instructions for them.)

(I manage to learn [Basic Summoning Magic] after a mouth and half of training. I though that it could help me with my golem research, but….)

The boy extended his hand towards the ground.

[Summon: Earth Servant]

A magic circle appeared on the ground and a little round stone like creature with limbs appeared. The creature size wasn't that big, if anything, it was small. It had around half or less of the boy current heigh.

(I can only make those things. They are very weak and I can even smash them myself without need of magic.)

(They aren't able to take any complicated orders and because of that, I couldn't use the summoning manifestation for my research.)

(Probably it could help if I got [Summoning Magic], but leveling my [Basic Summoning Magic] will take much longer than when I was acquiring the [Earth Magic]. It may take me half a year or even more to get it.) – though the boy while making the creature disappear.

(I manage to find some books in the library about the summoning. Apparently the more manifested summons can take more complicated commands compare to this little guy. Hower to get manifest summon stronger things I need to get better at summoning and become stronger myself. So even if I manage to become better summoner, I still need to make myself stronger or it won't work.)

"…."

The boy looked though the winddown and noticed the snow covering the outside.

"Before I realized it, half of a year already passed by after getting my memories back. It's already winter and it's snowing outside. Time sure fly by."

The boy picked up few of the rocks from the ground that were parts of his creation and put on the table, before then starting to write something on the paper.

After some time, somebody knocked on the doors.

"Hm? Enter." – said the boy while turning around to the door.

The doors opened and the person that walked in wasn't the boy's maid Allie, but Iris Necrohearth.

"Oh. Iris? I wasn't expecting you today."

"What are you talking about? We were supposed to meet today." – replied the girl.

"We were?"

"…."

"Fuck…. Sorry. I must have forgotten. Let me clean up a bit." – said the boy while getting of the chair.

Me and Iris are meeting from time to time after our first meeting with each other. Most of the times we just talk and share what we learned about this world. Sometimes we just talk for our own enjoyment.

As of right now, both of us are training ourselves to became stronger. Iris took my advice to the hearth and decided to also become stronger so she can take anything that world will threw at her, but she still couldn't make her mind on the thing she wants to do in the future. By the look of things its hard for her to decide.

I told her about my plans of trying and learning on how to create the golems. She was kind of interested in my training more than I thought, but she also asked me if I could make something like 5 different colored golems that can combine with each other.

"….." 

"Em… Aren't you overworking your self lately?" – asked the girl.

"Hm? No, I don't think so."

"…."

The girl took out a pocket winddown and opened it right in front of boy face.

"And what is that under your eyes?"

"…. Em…..."

"Dude. You need to rest. Don't forget you have a body of the child right now."

"…...Fuck me. I think you are right. I used to working for a long time and not sleeping much during the night."

"I guess old habits die hard, even after dying."

"Dude. You seriously need to get out do something else besides working and learning. I won't be surprised at all if you just collapsed and died from overworking."

"Do you have any plans for today?" – asked the girl.

"Well, I was planning on making few more test golems to – "

"Great. Then you are free. We are going out to the town." 

"But- "

Before the boy could finish his sentence the girl quickly walked towards the door.

"Don't keep me waiting." – said the girl before closing the door and leaving the room.

"…."

"Well, I guess it shouldn't hurt?"
