Chapter-11

"You're crazy!!!" Shaka shouted under his breath.

After having dinner together. Petra and Mia returned from Sophia and Shaka's house at ten o'clock in the evening. That's why Shaka dared to yell in front of Sophia with an answer that made no sense to her.

She said she was ready to get pregnant Shaka? Damn it, just touching her doesn't even occur to Shaka. Let alone getting Sophia pregnant, this is really how Shaka thinks.

Sophia shook her head, "No. Why?"

"Still asking why? Do you know what the consequences of your answer will be?"

"I know."

"Then why answer like that, Sophia. Remember our agreement at the beginning, we must separate within one year, because I want to marry the woman I love."

"Yes, I know, without repeating it." Sophia replied casually.

Seeing Sophia's reaction, Shaka suddenly became emotional. The woman looked relaxed while playing with her cell phone which was constantly on, I don't know what the woman was doing but it was able to make Shaka really angry.

"Sophia I'm having a serious conversation."

Really, if it had been Valery, Shaka would have thrown the phone in the trash. Or throw it into the swimming pool to die.

Sophia, who heard that, immediately put her cell phone in her jacket pocket. She knew what Shaka was worried about, but Sophia didn't think it made any sense at all. The woman agreed to her father's words of wanting a quick grandchild, while Sophia was looking for many ways to separate from the woman. How could that woman so easily say that she was ready to get pregnant.

Changing her sitting position, Sophia asked Shaka to calm down first. If they talked with emotion there would be no way out. Sophia had a reason why she agreed to what Shaka's father said. Apart from making Shaka's father shut up, Sophia also already had a solution to this problem.

"What solution, IVF without having sex? Or want to adopt a baby, with the excuse that you can't get pregnant? My mommy will kill you, Sophia." Shaka growled.

"That's not going to happen, take it easy," said Sophia.

"Don't take it lightly, we're in danger. Maybe if it's an office matter, I can still calm down. But when it comes to you and the baby, I really can't."

Once again, Sophia asked Shaka to calm down first. If Shaka continued to get emotional, she wouldn't be able to digest what Sophia was saying. Like the problem of cooperation between Sophia and Alcand where Shaka suddenly got angry and said she didn't like it. Until now, Sophia doesn't know where Shaka's dislike for the collaboration between Sophia and Alcand lies. Could it be because Alcand is Shaka's colleague that she said she didn't like it? But what was the reason?

Regulating her breathing, Shaka tried to calm herself down. Maybe it's true what Sophia said, if you talk in a state of anger, it won't produce results. And Shaka tried to control his emotions after being married to Sophia, he got angry easily over trivial matters. Not to mention that her time was taken up and Shaka rarely met Valery, the love of her life.

For almost half an hour Sophia was still waiting for Shaka who was trying to control his temper. True to her father-in-law's word, Shaka was easily angered. At the slightest provocation, the man could be furious, especially when it came to his family and Valery.

"Have you calmed down?" Sophia asked to make sure.

"I have. Want to tell me now?" Shaka asked with his eyes closed.

Sophia nodded, she knew Shaka didn't see her but Sophia was sure Shaka heard her well. "I accepted the offer because there was a reason, Shaka."

Shaka remained silent and waited for Sophia's next words. What kind of plan would she come up with.

"I know you don't want to touch me and I also know that your decision is the same as your mother's decision. That's why I thought, it would be nice if the pregnant one was Valery, the woman you love. I just need to pretend to be pregnant to convince them so they don't get suspicious." Sophia explained.

Shaka opened his eyes wide. He stared at the ceiling of this house with a gaze that was difficult to interpret. As Shaka thought, either adopt a child or perhaps IVF. Shaka hadn't thought this far ahead, to involve Valery in his problems. How could Sophia think of that alone? What was her heart made of to see her husband with another woman?

"Are you sure?" said Shaka hesitantly.

Sophia nodded, "Sure. What's wrong with my decision?"

"I mean why Valery?"

"You're the one who said you love your lover and won't touch me? Wouldn't it be better for Valery to get pregnant with your child, and for me to take care of her? I think it's a good idea and you'll agree since it involves the person you love."

For as long as people have been married, this is the first time Shaka has found a woman who is truly soft-hearted. She didn't get angry when he said he loved another woman, she didn't get angry when he insulted her and her mother, she didn't get angry when he didn't want this marriage to happen. What exactly does Sophia want that she can go this far?

The next morning, Sophia woke up early. She prepared breakfast for herself and Shaka. Toast, vanilla milk and a plate of black wide noodles. Sophia also cooked fried chicken and mushrooms for her lunch. Whether it was eaten or not, Sophia didn't care, the important thing was that she had prepared breakfast for Shaka. Until suddenly...

"I've decided with Valery on what you said last night." Shaka's words suddenly came and made Sophia jump in surprise.

"How? Does she want to get involved in this?"

Last night, Sophia tried to convince Shaka in this matter. There was nothing to lose if they involved Valery in it. Shaka loved Valery so much, there was no harm if it was Valery who got pregnant. After all, Shaka's father wouldn't know either. He only needed to change the obstetrician's data when Valery successfully conceived Shaka's child with Sophia's child. Shaka could ask for copies of the check-ups and medications for Sophia and Valery. And Sophia thought this was a good plan, especially since they were obsessed with being together after Shaka and Sophia separated.

"She agreed to the crazy idea. And obviously I'll be staying at Valery's house more often." Shaka said finally.

Sophia was really relieved to hear that, even though she knew that he didn't like her. But Sophia was very grateful to Valery for helping her plan to succeed.

"Alright, I've prepared your breakfast. I'm going to the store first." Sophia said, smiling happily.

Shaka just stared silently at Sophia's back as she left his presence dragging her deformed leg. What was honestly going through that woman's mind, why was she so eager to part from Shaka? What makes that woman strong? Even though Shaka had seen many movies and books, even though the marriage was forced, no woman would willingly share her husband, let alone impregnate her lover. But Sophia... she asked Shaka to impregnate Valery and recognize the pregnancy on her behalf.

And now Shaka is very curious about the contents of Sophia's brain and will. He had to know the facts about who Sophia was and how she could resign herself to living her life.

Looking at the breakfast that had been prepared, Shaka devoured it quickly. There was no way Shaka could go to the office on an empty stomach, after all Sophia's cooking was not bad either, you could say it was delicious so sometimes Shaka had to add more if she ate together with her father and mother. If it's just the two of them, Sophia only makes it for herself, the rest if there's still some she gives to Shaka.

Because the streets of the capital were jammed, Sophia was late arriving at the flower shop. Luckily her father came early to open the shop, not to mention that today there were several orders for flowers for weddings and they wanted fresh flowers that were made on the spur of the moment. They were afraid that the flowers would be wilted and ugly.

"Dad... it's a good thing you came on time. Where's Lala, Dad?" Sophia said frantically.

"Lala is still buying food, she'll be back in a minute. What's wrong Pia, why are you panicking like this?" asked Sion in surprise.

Sophia explained that in two hours someone would come to pick up the flowers. But instead Sophia came late, she had to cook lunch and breakfast for Shaka. There was no way Sophia could let Shaka starve to death at home because she didn't have anything. As tough as Sophia was, she couldn't bear to see others suffer. That's why, she chose to cook first and then come to the store.

Sion laughed, "It's your duty as a wife to serve your husband at home. I don't mind, if you want to come late you can call me first."

Sophia nodded in response, it was certain that Sophia would continue to trouble Sion when it came to the flower shop. Even though Sion had handed over the shop to Sophia, the woman still needed Sion as a guide.

"Yesterday your father-in-law called me, he said you want to do a pregnancy program, right?"

Sophia nodded quickly, the ones who were pregnant were Shaka and Valery, Sophia was just their mechanic so that the family would not be suspicious and assume that Sophia was really pregnant.

"Is that-"

"Dad, let's not talk about that yet. Can you get some fresh flowers for me to arrange? I don't have much time for baby talk, we can talk about it after the flowers are done." Sophia cut in quickly. It was more like she was too lazy to talk about it.

Sion relented, he picked up some fresh and nice flowers to arrange. Sion also picked up some items that Sophia needed. Such as paper, small isolation cards, hot glue and also some other materials. Until finally...

"Excuse me, may I help you?"
