Chapter-03

"She who?" asked Sophia in a low tone.

Shaka got up from his seat and approached Sophia who had just arrived. The man noticed Sophia's appearance but did not enter at all. The dress was blue with a floral print, the length was also only knee-length. But it was still wrapped in a pink knit cardigan. Look, she's like a clothesline running in broad daylight.

Meanwhile, the woman sitting on the chair with her haughty face was smiling. She was wearing a maroon-colored mini-dress that contrasted nicely with her pale white skin. The neat, fragrant, and clean hairdo made Shaka like her. But after seeing Sophia, Shaka suddenly thought that she was the most suitable servant in his house.

"She's Valery, my lover," Shaka replied. The man deliberately pulled Valery's hand to approach Sophia, "Do you mind if Valery stays at this house?"

Sophia turned her face away, her chest suddenly tightening at the sight of her husband bringing another woman into her home. It had only been two days since the wedding, could Shaka not hold off for a while? At least for a week, then Sophia wouldn't even care about living in the same house. She was just afraid that her parents, or maybe Shaka's parents would come to their house to see how they were doing. Maybe Shaka's father would be worried, while her mother didn't care about any of this. Then again, Shaka's mother must be very proud and happy when she saw her son bring a beautiful and normal future daughter-in-law.

"Sophia, do you mind if I stay at your house? I know you're newly married, and I shouldn't bother you. But... hmm, I can't bear to see you alone in this house." Valery said in a very spoiled tone. Not to mention, her hands were also touching the buttons of Shaka's shirt seductively.

"You shouldn't, dear. She said that she doesn't mind if I bring my lover home." Shaka said, glancing at Sophia.

Here Sophia immediately chuckled, "Yes. I don't mind if Shaka brings his girlfriend home. But... you need to remember, Shaka's father will be here tomorrow morning. If you want to take the risk just stay here, I won't care about you."

Dragging her feet slowly, Sophia went straight to her room near the stairs. This room was supposed to be the guest room, but since Shaka didn't want to share a room with Sophia, she decided to sleep in the guest room. She would go to Shaka's room if both their parents came to this house, except for Shaka's mother. She would not like it if Sophia was in Shaka's room. She was the one who opposed Shaka and Sophia's marriage and thought of many ways to make them separate.

Sophia's attitude infuriated Shaka, and he followed her into the room. Shaka even came close to seeing Sophia who wanted to take off her clothes in front of her.

"What are you doing? Can you knock before entering? You've violated my privacy, Shaka!" Sophia shouted, crossing her arms over her chest.

Shaka laughed, "Even if you were naked, I wouldn't be interested in you. I just want you to explain what you just said. My father can't be here, right?"

"Just open your phone, you'll see what I mean," Sophia replied lazily.

The woman also asked Shaka to leave immediately. She wanted to take a shower, and Sophia didn't want to see Shaka still in her room after she was done.

Shaka himself also immediately took his cell phone and looked at the many incoming messages from Sophia. She told Shaka that her father would be coming tomorrow morning to join them for breakfast along with her mother. So what if Shaka's father finds out that Shaka's girlfriend is in this house?

The man immediately left Sophia's room and found Valery who was sitting relaxed while enjoying her drink. This was not the time to relax, Shaka even went so far as to pull the glass she was holding.

"Honey I'm thirsty, I want a drink," Valery whined.

Shaka asked Valery to calm down for a moment, this was not the time to drink. Shaka knew that Valery was thirsty, the problem was that she had already finished two bottles of tequila.

"I know. But please stop drinking, we have something important to discuss."

Hearing the word important, Valery immediately changed her sitting position to tease Shaka, "Tell me, what is so important that you look panicked."

Shaka took a deep breath and stared at the half-drunk bottle in front of him. Shaka asked Valery to finish her drink immediately, then escorted the woman back to her house. For now, Valery couldn't stay at Shaka's house, suddenly she got news from Sophia that tomorrow morning her father would come to this house along with her mother to have breakfast together. Of course, Shaka didn't want to take any chances, their wedding was only two days old, how could he make trouble right away?

Valery gave Shaka a disapproving look, "Just tell me you want to spend time with your disabled wife!!! I know you're newly married, and I also know that you need time together to get to know each other. Don't make any more excuses I know that!"

Shaka shook his head, no! Even Shaka was willing to bet that Sophia wasn't involved in this. They didn't need that, there was no introducing each other as Valery said. Neither Shaka nor Sophia even wanted this marriage, so why should Shaka and Sophia get to know each other? There was no need for that.

"Honey, please understand. Sophia and I don't need that, you know this marriage is not wanted. Please, don't think anything bad about me and Sophia."

Still, Valery couldn't get rid of the bad thoughts about them. Because they were married, it was impossible for them to just stare at each other in the same house. Even if they didn't sleep in the same room, if Shaka's position was drunk and unconscious, unwanted things could also happen.

"Alright. I give in, after this, I will go home. You're satisfied!"

"I'm sorry."

Valery nodded, and for once she relented. But after this don't expect Valery to give in, Shaka is hers, and whether she marries anyone or not, Shaka will still come back to Valery. She doesn't mind if she has to be the second, as long as Valery can be with Shaka forever.

Not wanting to waste too much time, Shaka finally decided to invite Valery to go home immediately. There was still a day for them to spend the night together. Shaka also promised Valery that after her condition improved, she could live with him in this house.

***

Going to the kitchen, Sophia made some dishes for breakfast. Her father-in-law came too early in the morning, luckily Sophia heard a loud knock on the door from the front. Her in-laws came with different expressions. Petra was so enthusiastic about this morning, while Mia, the old woman, still showed her displeased face to Sophia. Even when Petra asked Mia to help Sophia cook in the kitchen, the woman preferred to wake up Shaka in the upstairs room. So overwhelmed Sophia was able to finish her cooking quickly. Fortunately, last night when Sophia wanted to go to bed, the man invited Shopia to go shopping since there were no groceries in the house, let alone vegetables, they didn't even have rice.

"The cripple is also good at cooking, right? Want to make Shaka feel at home because of your cooking? I don't think that will work." Mia sneered, staring at some of the food in front of her. It smelled good, but she didn't know what it tasted like, which made Mia say, "Don't let me eat all your food and then get a stomachache!" she said again.

Sophia looked at Mia for a moment and then smiled, "I assure you that you won't get a stomachache after tasting my cooking."

Mia's eyebrows raised, and she approached Sophia with an unhappy face, "Damn Mami! I don't allow you to call me Mami in the absence of my husband. You should call me Mrs. because I don't consider you as my daughter-in-law. I don't want to have a disabled daughter-in-law like you!"

Hearing the insults, Sophia could only hold herself back. She knew that she was handicapped, after all, what made Sophia handicapped was also Shaka. She also did not bind Shaka in this matter, Sophia had asked her father not to continue this ridiculous agreement. Sophia doesn't mind if she has to be handicapped for life and not get married, as long as she doesn't listen to insults from others. But no matter what, Shaka's father and Sophia's father were adamant and went ahead with their ridiculous agreement.

"Remember, only in front of my husband can you call me Mami!" Mia warned while pointing at Sophia. She didn't want her to slip up when speaking in front of Petra.

No need to be reminded, Sophia would always remember. She wouldn't say anything wrong, Mia had disliked her from the start. What mother-in-law would want a disabled son-in-law? Not to mention Shaka didn't have any flaws, he was handsome and also rich, of course, that man could get more women than Sophia. Let alone Valery, even Sophia who is a fellow woman likes to look at her. Besides being beautiful Valery also has a beautiful body, not to mention the woman's legs that sometimes make Sophia jealous. If only that time hadn't happened maybe...

"Sophia, are you going to keep all that food in the kitchen?" Petra shouted, making Sophia jump in surprise. She forgot that her in-laws had come to this house to eat together.
