After three years of marriage, Wendy Stewart was used to Michael Lucas's sarcastic remarks, his frequent threats about getting divorced, and even his indulgence of a mistress. She thought that she could bear with this her entire life, until she accidentally got pregnant with a child that Michael did not want. Finally despondent, Wendy signed the divorce agreement and left. Seeing this, Zen hobbled over with the help of a crutch and asked worriedly, "Wendy, what do you intend to do?"
"If push comes to shove, I'd like to perish with Christian." Wendy had been locking herself up in this room over the past few days and rarely left.
Whenever someone brought food over, she would tell them to leave it at the door.
She would then bring the food in and have her meal with Zen.
She had considered much over the course of the past few days and she knew that she could not run from what she was about to face.
