Till this Late.

Alex and Nathan were so busy doing their work to notice the curious gazes out of her office. They kept gazing at them as they smiled and laughed while they worked.

After a while, Nathan stepped out to answer his phone.

Alex was finishing something when a knock came at her door.

"Yes come in," she said.

Two of her co-workers walked in, "Do we have a new employee" they asked.

Alex looked up, "No we don't, so get back to work," she said.

The door to her office opened before they could leave and Nathan walked in. They smiled at him and left.

"They needed something?" he asked.

"Yes information about the stranger am with," she said.

He chuckled, "Are they jealous that you have a handsome assistant"

She laughed moving back to her work, "I guess so".

He walked back to her desk and bent down next to where she was bending.

"Sorry about the call, let's get back to work then," he said.

They were discussing something when someone knocked on the door.

"Come in," she said.

"Boss, someone delivered food Saying it's for you"

Nathan got up taking the packed food from the staff, "Yes we ordered it" he said.

"Thank you," Alex said to her employee who left immediately. "when did you order the food".

"When I stepped out for the call," he said, " you might be busy but you need to eat"

"You go ahead, I will join you after am done here," she said.

He sighed and got up pushing her down in her seat, "Am sorry but we are eating together".

He placed the papers aside and placed the food in front of her, "and to make sure you're going to eat" he pulled his seat next to hers, "am sitting next to you".

She snickered. He opened the food and told her to go ahead. Alex obeyed and started eating, "You eat yours too," she said to him. He gave her a nod and opened his.

Alex looked up from her food to see Nathan gazing at her. She pushed her hair behind the ear but before she could bend down to eat again it was back.

Nathan's hand appeared beside her and held the hair back for her.

"Better," he asked.

"Yes, but then how will you eat," she asked.

"I can wait until you're done, now I see why you tie your hair" he let out

"It's okay, I have a hairpin I can use to keep it in place," she said putting aside her food. He watched as she got something from her bag and retired to her seat.

"Give it to me," he said. She passed him the white flower pin and he got closer, he held her hair place and pushed the pin inside it.

"Thank you," she said.

Finally down with her work, Alex fell back in her seat. Nathan sighed and passed her some water.

"Well done," he said.

"Thank you for helping," she said.

"My pleasure, I was only here just to be close to you and I enjoyed every second of it"

She turned to see the others had left.

"What time is it?" she asked.

"Nine thirty," he said.

"WHAT?... I kept you here till this late" she let out.

"It's okay, I wanted to help and we finally finished it," he said.

She sighed, "You must be exhausted"

"Am used to this work, am worried about you?" he said back.

"Am used to it too" she scoffed.

They packed up and left, walking out of the building, Alex noticed Roy standing out of Nathan's car.

"He already here" she waved at him. He smiled waving back at her.

"Tomorrow is the weekend do you have anything you're doing?" Nathan asked.

"Am not, been busy this week I just want to sleep all weekend?" she said.

He smiled, "I wanted to take you out but then can I come over to your place instead"

"My place?"

He nodded, "Is it okay?"
