Unbound Familiar

An avid gamer nerd's dreams come true in another brutal yet lucky? fashion. Follow him as he does his best not to die in laughably humiliating ways, all while trying to escape his abrupt and unwanted servitude. Will his knowledge of the world he finds himself help him succeed? Will he return home? Will evolve past his title of 'Dog'? Read and find out! This will be another multiversal world-hopping story, similar to my other one, EBW. I'll not spoil the surprise of the first world, but Skyrim will eventually be involved... And no, I'll not be adhering to plot, instead destroying it and hopefully not butchering the original story in the process. Will It Blend?

Earlier :

Tiffania and Megumin were stationed at the backlines under a makeshift tarp, the former to help heal those injured in battle, and the latter to recover her energy from her initial explosion spell.

Sure, Megumin had improved greatly during her time in Tamriel, but doing such vast amounts of damage still took the air out of her. She could probably manage another, but she'd pass out as soon as she did so.

"Megumin, he was struck by poison, pass the antidote!" the half-elf says as she treats a Nord who was missing his eye.

"Which one!?" the sweaty explosion girl asks while gesturing to the shelf filled with vials, having already been run ragged despite not being an active combatant.

"I don't know, just use the universal one!" Tiffania says, unsure which poison had been used. In cases like this, she was forced to use the more expensive universal antidotes, which they only had a small quantity of.

Tiffania forces the potion down the man's throat and checks him over with an analysis spell. She nods in satisfaction as the potion begins working, only taking the time to bandage the man's eye before moving on to the next person.

She looks up for a moment, chewing her lip in thought, "Where is Miss Umnii? She should've been back by now."

"Maybe she got caught up healing someone else? There's a lot of injured people!" Megumin guesses, but she's proved greatly mistaken when the dup spots smoke nearby, all but declaring that a fire was starting.

"Anno... Should we get that?" Megumin asks, unsure if they should leave their post.

Tiffania nods, "Everyone else is busy, none of the other healers is any good at fighting either... Let's go."

With that, the duo make their way out of the medical area and rush down the street until they find a burning building with many unconscious bodies in front of it. Some civilians and the few guards left to defend the town seem to have tried to fight off whoever was responsible for this... At great cost too, as they discovered that many of the people had already succumbed to their wounds.

"We need to tell the others! There's no point fighting if there's no town to go back to!" Megumin says as begins looking around cautiously.

"We need to help these people first! Do you have any spells to stop the fire?" Tiffania asks as she begins checking the people, leaving the dead while trying to heal the survivors.

"N-no, I don't." Megumin solemnly admits, she'd focussed almost entirely on Destruction spells, never giving real thought to Restoration...

The half-elf sighs and stands, "Give them your potions, I'll stop the fire!" she says, raising her wand and beginning the incantation for the vacuum spell she'd learned from Brimir's Prayer Book.

"No you don't!" someone suddenly shouts, jumping down from the roof of a nearby building with a dagger in hand.

Tiffania isn't able to do anything as the man falls atop her, though, for some reason the man had elected to avoid stabbing her?

"You're coming with me, whore!" the man who was wearing light elven armour growls as he grabs a handful of Tiffania's golden hair.

"Get off of her!" Megumin shouts, abandoning the survivors and raising her staff at the Altmer, who lifts Tiffania and positions her in front of him as a meatshield.

"Go on girl, shoot and kill your friend." he says while giving a toothy grin. "Do it, I don't care for the life of this half-breed anyway!"

Megumin scowls and looks at Tiffania who was sliding her hand towards the hidden pocket of her robes. "Let her go and I will burn you alive!"

"Haha! Try it, chil-" the Altmer starts but is cut off as Tiffania stabs her Blink Dagger backwards into the gap of the man's armour, stabbing his hip and causing him to let go of her. She then activates the Blink Dagger and appears next to Megumin, who'd already launched her spell. "DIE, PIG!"

*THWOOM!*

"AAAARRRRRRGGHIIIIYAAAAA!!!" the elf goes up in flames as Megumin had promised, her fireball striking true and causing him to begin rolling along the ground in agony.

"Are you okay!?" Megumin asks in relief as she looks over Tiffania.

"I think so... I'll have to thank Michael and Saeko for their tips to use daggers..." she mutters.

"Hmph! I knew Clesil was useless, but not to the extent of being killed by two little girls!" a voice echoes out in the street, prompting the duo to look over.

They spot a few robed Thalmor standing on a nearby roof, both quickly dropping into a combat stance.

"We've already secured the blue girl, so come with us willingly or I'll be forced to break your arms and legs first." he arrogantly demands.

"I don't think so!" Megumin shouts as she uses one of the only frost spells she knows, firing a barrage of knife-sized shards at the group... The spell is blocked via a Ward however, forcing Tiffania to act.

"You've forced me to use this... Rasengan!" she intones before jabbing her wand at them, using a weaker version of the spell in order to not destroy a portion of the city.

The Thalmor are caught off-guard due to their ward failing them, Tiffania's spell bypasses it and appears under their feet, rising upwards and instantly tearing the legs from three of them.

Two men manage to escape the blender-like winds that form, only to watch in tortured fascination as their allies' bodies are mulched into red paste, smearing the walls of the nearby building in new rancid red paint.
