Unbound Familiar

An avid gamer nerd's dreams come true in another brutal yet lucky? fashion. Follow him as he does his best not to die in laughably humiliating ways, all while trying to escape his abrupt and unwanted servitude. Will his knowledge of the world he finds himself help him succeed? Will he return home? Will evolve past his title of 'Dog'? Read and find out! This will be another multiversal world-hopping story, similar to my other one, EBW. I'll not spoil the surprise of the first world, but Skyrim will eventually be involved... And no, I'll not be adhering to plot, instead destroying it and hopefully not butchering the original story in the process. Silenced...?

"You've come... But without Surtr...? Have you decided to betray him? Or do you simply seek death?" Miraak questions with a drawl.

Anti-Mage jabs a glowing blue glaive-dagger at them, "There is no betrayal without loyalty first, we neither seek to serve you or him. Your vile magic must be put to an end, for the sanctity and peace of all." he growls.

"Heh, hear that Valliere? These three think they can stop us!" Joseph smarms.

"What can three peasants do?" Louise remarks as she points her wand at them, "As you don't follow the false-king, you must be Michael's. How do you cretins want to die?"

"Enough, both of you." Miraak grouses before pointing at Silencer, "You're the one who rid the world of sound earlier?" he asks despite already knowing the answer. At Silencer's nonresponse, the First Dragonborn just shrugs his shoulders and continues, "If you won't join me willingly, do not blame me for taking your choice away-"

"DOWN!" Anti-Mage shouts but doesn't have enough time to save everyone, so instead just pushes Wei out of the way.

"GOL HAH DOV!" Miraak shouts, enveloping both Silencer and Anti-Mage in the subsequent shockwave.

"Master!" Wei shouts as Silencer and Anti-Mage grab their heads and let out pained groans. She leaps to try and help him but is forced to block a green tendril that shoots from Miraak's weapon, throwing her into the nearby wall with a crack!

"You're both mine now... Kill the girl." Miraak orders as the duo continue to squirm and writhe with mental anguish.

Silencer's arms go limp as his head turns towards Wei, the girl's eyes widening as he mutters "Yes... Lord..." He raises his arm to throw his glaive but pauses when a hand grabs his forearm...

"Control yourself, Nortrom!" Anti-mage rasps while grinding his teeth, face still grimacing and twitching from the ongoing mental assault.

"That won't do." Miraak utters and uses Bend Will on them again, this time causing them both to scream out.

Wei Blinks forwards and tries to cut the masked man's head off but Joseph's form blurs and sends a lightning bolt at her. She blocks the attack with Counter Spell which sends it right back at him, but he deflects it with his wand and causes it to crackle against the nearby wall.

She Blinks once more, appearing at Joseph's back and making an attempt for his neck, only for his form to blur once more and duck under it. He points his wand at her chest as she's recovering from that rapid movements, and she's barely able to conjure her Counter Spell shield to catch the burst of wind that hits her.

Even with her magical resistance she rolls backwards through it, even so, she lands feet first and leaps off of the wall and continues her assault.

"You're not fast enough!" Joseph cackles, "Haste!" he casts on himself, causing his speed to quicken further, allowing him to easily dodge her attacks.

She wanted to use Mana Void on him but she severely doubted that he'd used enough Mana to render it a lethal attack. With how powerful the mage before her was, she had no doubt that he'd be able to heal or maybe even block it.

Wei glances over and spots her master trying to dodge Silencer's glaives, occasionally stumbling due to the ongoing mental assault from Miraak. He jumps once more but a large stone hits his legs, sending him tumbling to the floor.

*SLIIK!*

A glaive slices through Anti-Mage's robe and cut a deep wound across his right pec, he groans in pain but still resists. He catches the glaive that attempts to return to Silencer's hand and uses Mana Break on it, causing it to glow blue with anti-magic energies.

Silencer catches the weapon as it's thrown back but jolts in pain as a swathe of his mana reserves are cut simply from being in contact with it. Shaking his head, he casts a litany of curses at Anti-Mage which all begin ravaging his body... But, unbeknownst to Miraak and his slaves, Silencer was doing this in opposition to their orders...

Miraak crooks a brow as his new thrall casts curse after curse, some not seeming to do anything while others were just copies of those that'd been used earlier. "Stop. A slave needs to be alive, otherwise it's not worth keeping." he commands... But glances to Louise as Silencer keeps going.

Realising what was happening, Wei stops her assault on Joseph and begins fighting far more defensively.

"Come on! You came here to kill the Emperor, didn't you!?" Joseph taunts as he casts cantrips at her, his enjoyment for battle preventing him from discovering anything...

"I said, stop!" Miraak roars at Silencer which causes him to halt in place entirely... Anti-Mage, taking advantage of this Blinks forwards and dropkicks Silencer into Miraak's arms. Miraak's eyes widen as he sees the resolution in the enemy monk's eyes... "DOWN! MUL QAH DI-"

"DIE! MANA VOID!""MANA VOID!" both Anti-Mage and Wei shout at once while simultaneously activating their Counter Spell shields to the max.

*SHHHRKKKOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOMMMMMM!!!!!*

The entire top half of the tower erupts in a bright blue explosion that momentarily blinds anyone who was looking in its vague direction.

Huge stones and pieces of shrapnel fly away with at rail of smoke as the area fills with dust. The morale on the side of Miraak's soldiers all quickly fall as they realize what just happened... The tower where their master and his most powerful subordinates had been utterly annihilated by an unknown spell.

After a few seconds the dust slowly clears, revealing a huge see-through golden dragon that had its wings protectively wrapped around Louise and Joseph. Miraak controlled it from its chest, but he was looking far worse off than either of his slave mages.

His mask had been obliterated and allowed the explosion to horrifically scar his face, the only thing preventing his death, funnily enough, being the corrupted scales that'd grown during his time in Apocrypha.
