Chapter 4

Leon opened his eyes and saw the clear blue sky. The sunlight shone warmly on his face.

A light breeze brushed past him.

Leon felt the danger and dodged left.

He wanted to see what had just attacked him.

When he saw what it was, he was surprised.

It was a rabbit! A 10ft white rabbit with sharp fangs.

Leon immediately attacked it with his fist. He immediately attacked because it the rabbit was 2 star martial beast.

The rabbit looked at Leon ferociously.

It used its claws trying to defend against Leon's punch.

When Leon's fist reached its claws, he suddenly disappeared.

He appeared behind it. Leon punched its head.

The rabbit dropped to the ground. It was wailing.

Leon feared that it would get up so he attacked its head again. It was mashed out.

Silence. The rabbit was dead.

He was not even a martial rank yet he could already fight a 2 star martial rank and win with2 punches. That made Leon value the training space even more.

Leon then looked at the rabbits body. It then turned into ash. 2 red cores were left.

Leon went up and grabbed them. They had a warm sensations.

[Hint: swallow to absorb energy. There will be no impurities.]

That first sentence surprised him then the second sentence surprised him even more.

That was because all thing contained impurities. Even pills from alchemists.

[Do you want to store them in storage space]

'Yes,' said Leon without any hesitation. The two cores instantly disappeared from his hands.

Due to the wailing of the rabbit which just died, the rabbits were triggered.

5 dozens of rabbits were going towards Leon at that moment.

Leon perception increased so he knew that they were coming.

A cold smile appeared on his face.

When they appeared, Leon eyes were confused. The rabbits this time were 15ft and the were all 4 star martial rank.

Leon's flashed. He looked at them like they were treasure.

Leon took out his two katanas which were strapped to his back.

Leon wrapped each with sword with sword intent.

He dashed towards the rabbits which were further.

They jumped up trying to dodge. But that was the wrong move.

Leon slashed his sword and the two rabbits instantly died.

4 cores dropped on the grounds.

Seeing what Leon had done they all rushed towards him.

A rabbit slashed its claws at Leon's back. Leon used a sword to block the attack.

"Since you came to your death, I , Leon Azure will grant your wish." said Leon coldly.

With a slash of his sword, the rabbit died.

The rabbit became enraged.

They continued to fight him.

Some aimed for his legs, arms and backs. They even used their teeth to attack him.

Their attacks were sometimes were successful but they still suffered.

After they realized that, they were already at deaths door.

As for Leon, he had injuries. His clothes were torn. Some skin on his shoulders gone which were bleeding.

Leon collected all of the cores. The system said that he would not die inside, but that does not mean that he wants to die.

He dragged his injured body to a small cave. Inside was dark but Leon used his sense to see if a beast was inside.

Fortunately, nothing was inside.

Leon had 62 red orbs. They contained energy.

He swallowed one. The red light turned into a warm current that fused with his body. Leon used his cultivation technique to guide the energy around his body.

Leon felt that his injuries were healing but it was slow. After swallowing 10 orbs, he was healed.

He felt that the orbs were treasures.

Leon put all of the orbs on the ground. He then sat cross legged.

Leon could always break through to martial rank but he waited for a perfect opportunity.

This was the perfect opportunity.

There are four levels one needs to do before breaking through martial rank.

Skin refinement, muscle refinement, tendon refinement and organ refinement.

He began swallowing then one by one. After swallowing all of the orbs, a massive plump of energy was within his body.

Leon refined his skin first. His skin was peeling off. After an hour, it was finished. Leon's once dry skin became whiter.

He continued to refine his muscles. Leon physical was already strong but being stronger is always better even it is only by a bit.

Leon's bone went through refinement. It was stronger.

Next was his tendon refinement. That took another hour.

Organ refinement was next. That was the most painful.

He refined his lungs, liver, stomach, lungs, bladder etc. That took 2 hours.

Cough Cough

Leon coughed out blood. He wiped off the blood which was still on his lips. His face was pale.

Leon still had enough energy to make a breakthrough.

He cultivated peacefully. Changed were made in dantian.

Outside, Leon was floating 30cm above the ground. He was being surrounded by energy.

Boom

Leon Azure broke through!

What was even more shocking was that he directly broke through 4 levels.

Leon Azure is 4 star-martial rank.
