A Foolproof Combo?

"With my Hunter License, I could enter the Abyssal Dungeon... But it's 5:30 pm. Maybe I'll wait until tomorrow. Should I train? Go out? I'm not really used to going out since having spare money is kind of new... "

Luke lay on his bed with his hands behind his head.

"Sta-ats..." He said out loud while yawning.

'As long as I keep clearing Dungeons alone with a high rank, I won't run out of Unused Stat Points. For now...'

"10 points into Agility, 10 into Vigor, 2 into Endurance. The rest goes to Strength." Luke said out loud.

'That Hobgoblin. I guess that will be my reference for now. It was way stronger than me. Probably had a Strength Stat of maybe 70 to 90. I was a bit faster than it was, but now with an additional 11 Agility Points, it would be a totally different fight. Especially since am armed with a great weapon. The Hobgoblin's Vigor Stat was low. But with mine at 48, I'll have 480 Health Points. No monster in [F] Rank Dungeons can kill me in one shot. And thanks to my pretty high Agility Stat, I'll be able to buy time to recover.'

Luke breathed out deeply.

"It's a foolproof combo, right?" He whispered.

Luke took his laptop and started looking at a forum for Hunters. He wasn't really looking for anything.

'So people were inside The Forest Of Goblins while I was there. A group of five but only three got out of there... I guess being in a group has its negatives too. They made too much noise, attracted too many Goblins at once. I didn't even talk once when I was there except to ask the System about my progress. People really die inside Dungeons...'

It felt weird. Sort of surreal as he had cleared two Dungeons but only had a couple of scars on his body. Since Luke didn't see anyone inside those Dungeons, he couldn't see the reality and the struggle of Level 1 Hunters against the Goblins.

Of course, he had struggled too. And that struggle had gotten him the Fire Immunity Skill and 7 level-ups.

"I guess a Fire Dragon does make Goblins look like weak feeble creatures... Even though the dragon was weakened and an inferior one."

Luke started chuckling.

'But man, I really was crazy in there. I was ready to end my life, and the next second I was dipping my hands in lava. Who does that??'

Luke raised his right hand towards the ceiling.

After he called it out, a sword appeared inside of his raised hand.

"I also got this from that time..."

The blueish blade reflected light beautifully.

'The Fifth Floor... It sure is full of treasures.'

Luke got up.

He grabbed his weapon tightly with both hands.

There wasn't much space in Luke's studio. Still, he swung his sword.

He alternated between 200 two-handed swings and 100 one-handed swings for about two hours.

...

[You have gained 1 Endurance Point.]

At the end of it, his body was soaking in sweat.

Veins were visible on his arms, shoulders and neck.

Luke tried to slow down his breathing but couldn't.

He jumped into the shower right away and cold water fell on his body.

After about a minute, his breathing finally stabilized.

'My Endurance Points recover fast. But the less of them I have, the slower they'll recover.'

Luke stopped the water and stepped out.

'I gained 3 Agility Points, 7 Endurance Points, and 2 Stat Points in both Vigor and Strength. This was my first time training with a weapon, so that must be why. I probably trained muscles that aren't used when doing exercises such as pushups and stuff. Although I gained most of them during the first hour...'

He had learned that Hunters could not get stronger by doing the same things every time. Just like the workouts in the gym he had joined were not enough to get him stronger, swinging his sword would soon not be enough to count as training.

That night, Luke got a full night of sleep.

He woke up at 6 am the next day.

"Let's go check out that Abyssal Dungeon!" Luke said while leaving.
