Skipping

"I just can't," Wybie sighed, shifting in his spot underneath the staircase. "I can't go, not when she's there." It wasn't even half the day, and Wybie couldn't keep it in himself to be in the same room with her. It felt different than before. All these old memories, all the teasing. It made Wybie's mind go insane. He didn't know how he felt. Coraline just made him feel a certain way that he couldn't describe.

Anger? Sadness? Disgust? The way his whole body tingled at her touch could be a sign of the last one... But that conclusion didn't feel right.

The announcements came on for the second time. "Can Wybie Lovat please come to the office? Wybie Lovat, please come to the office, thank you."

He gripped his knees closer to his chest, groaning into his legs. Once the second period is done, just blend in with the students and leave school. It'll be that easy. You're safe, no distractions.

No distractions.

A door opened from the floor above him, causing him to jump up onto his feet. As he hid deeper in the dark, he made sure he was unnoticeable, however also stepping onto a piece of gum as he did so. Disgusting.

The person climbed down the stairs, their steps getting louder as they began to approach. He stood up and peeked his head out a bit from the corner. Coraline?

"Wybie? Is that you?" Blue eyes looked back at him. He exhaled.

"Hey, Izzy," Wybie smiled. Isabelle hurried down the rest of the stairs, jumping into his arms once she reached the bottom. "I missed you," He breathed into her hair, smelling the perfume that she wore as if it were the only thing keeping her alive.

"Everyone is looking for you," She sighed into his chest, playing with his shirt.

"I know," He responded. "I just want to be with you for a second." Wybie felt Isabelle's smile grow against his chest, which made his body run warm. Finally, for the first time this week, Wybie wasn't thinking about Coraline, and instead about the girl he held in his arms at that moment. He rocked her back and forth, his grip tightening.

"What are you going to do?" Isabelle asked, looking up at him innocently.

Wybie loosened his grip on her, so he could catch her hand. "We are going on a date." He smiled, kissing her soft pale hands. Isabelle giggled as he let her hand drop to her side. Wybie grabbed her chin, lowering himself as their lips were about to make contact.

Creak.

Wybie's and Isabelle's heads whipped to the side simultaneously, as the door beside them opened.

Hazel eyes darted between the two of them.

"Oh," Coraline blurted, stopping in her place. This is definitely one sight to see. She thought.

"Jonesyy, how are you?" Wybie asked, drawing out her nickname and leaning away from Isabelle to look over at Coraline, who stood at the doorway in complete and utter shock.

As Coraline raised an eyebrow, Wybie realized that the feeling was back, making his stomach fill with butterflies and a heat wave wash over him. It felt like his heart was racing a mile a minute as he began to try and hide his heavy breaths, but it seemed impossible to fib since his heart was practically beating out of his chest. Wybie wouldn't be surprised if it was.

"Wonderful," Coraline smiled annoyingly. "So, this is where you've been? Tongue fighting with Barbie?" She motioned toward Isabelle, who frowned at her comment as she dug her fingers deeper into Wybie's shirt, causing him to wince. "Who's winning?"

An idea popped into Wybie's head as she said this, and with the notion to anger Coraline, he followed out with it. With one swoop of Wybie's hand, Wybie collected Isabelle's wrists to place them on either of his shoulders. Wybie pulled on Isabelle's waist, bringing her closer to him, causing Coraline to gag, but also imagine what she'd look like in Isabelle's place. She blushed at the thought, quickly dismissing it.

"Me," He said, putting his attention back on Izzy, and finally closing the gap between them. Wybie's hand wrapped around Isabelle's head, pushing her onto his mouth. As Isabelle got lost in the kiss, she began to forget Coraline was even there. However, Wybie didn't as the kiss got deeper and more passionate.

Finally, they separated when Coraline began clapping. "Beautiful, truly breathtaking," She grinned. "Now if you don't mind, I'd like to go up the stairs." Coraline leaned onto her left foot and pointed toward the staircase, which sat right behind Isabelle.

"Of course." Izzy smiled, spinning out of the way and closer toward Wybie if that was even possible. They were practically on top of each other as Isabelle brought Wybie down onto her perfect peach-coloured lips. Coraline's smile dropped into a deep frown as she began to climb the stairs, not daring to look back at Wybie-the-leach, who just couldn't get enough of that blue-eyed blondie.

Coraline made sure to keep her pace as she ascended the stairs, not wanting to give Wybie that satisfaction of her annoyance in her steps.

"4-2," Coraline said out loud. "But it won't be for long, Lovat."

Now, we can play dirty.
