Arjun took a deep breath before entering the green room.
After talking to his father, around 15mins later, he was informed that their horoscope was found a 10/10 match, this was very rare and both of them were made for each other and all.
Huh, Perfect match, he didn't even know the girl's name, nor how she looked, and now they were telling him that he and this new girl were a perfect match.
Didn't Madhu's Horoscope also match with his? Does this mean he is compatible with everyone? Does this even make sense?
He was told that the girl wanted to talk with him before marriage and though the girl agreed on the surface, she was not fully willing to marry him.
Now he was standing in front of the green room to convince the replacement bride to marry him. He didn't know who this bride was nor how he was going to convince her.
Creak...
Aadrita looked up as Arjun came into her green room. She was fully dressed in her red bridal costume looking all stunning.
When he saw who it was, He was shocked.
AADRITA! Even in his dreams he never thought she would be his replacement bride.
Aadrita had left a deep impression on him, she was someone who he wished he could be. Though he only interacted with her for just two days. He knew she was a true free spirit person.
He was getting happy that he was going to marry someone who could express herself rather than an introvert like himself.
For one second he thought he was lucky that his bride ran away.
Arjun's eyes flashed for a second, returning to his calm appearance before anyone could notice" I heard that you wanted to speak with me..."
Arjun stood there looking all handsome in his Traditional costume but where in the world would Aadrita have the patience to appreciate that...
Unlike Arjun, Aadrita knew it was him. She had seen him in the mandap and from whatever he told her and whatever she heard from her mother, she could guess what happened and whom she was going to marry.
For her marriage was never a decision that could be taken on a whim. It was sacred, it was pure, it was the union of two-person, two souls, two-family.
She was of traditional thinking.
She believed in: one life, one marriage, one love.
She did know Arjun but just that too just on the surface. She found him to be a good person in those two days, but that was it. He was a good person but that didn't mean she would marry anyone who is good.
How can she marry a person whom she met just two days ago?
How can her family think to marry her to a person she didn't even meet? Her family didn't even know that she had already met him.
Moreover, she was afraid of marriage.
She was afraid of letting anyone enter her life.
She was afraid she would get attached to that person.
She was afraid she would be Abandoned again.
She was afraid of heartbreak.
She was afraid of loving someone.
But how could she hold her mouth? "Are you happy now that my sister has run away? I told you you should contact her, you should talk with her even though I didn't know it was my sister who was getting married to you. But you can't even do that. Now I am getting stuck with you "
Whenever Arjun talked to anyone, they felt he was cold and were never able to get close to him. But even though he was the same he was not able to put a cold front in front of her or rather even if he was talking in his usual tone, it was as if she never considered him cold.
"I thought I would talk to her after marriage and compensate her for all the things I should have done before marriage. I was really busy. "
"Hmph! Now you can get married to your Work."
"Aadrita I don't wanna talk about that now, Can we get to the topic here? I am here to talk about us."
Making a pitiful face Aadrita looked into his eyes,
" I told you about Aryan right, I like Aryan, how can I get married to you? Can you please go and say that you are not willing to marry me" Aadrita used Aryan as her shield as always.
"Aadrita don't forget you only told me you see him as your brother and moreover he already has a sweetheart." He exposed her looking into her eyes as though he already had expected this.
"Did I say that? Arjun I have my reasons because of which I cannot refuse this marriage. But you can, How can we get married without knowing each other?" Aadrita tried to look away from him, although she was exposed so quickly she was not ready to back down.
Arjun knew she was not ready to marry, even when they talked on the train she was avoiding the marriage topic.
"Aadrita I know this is all rushed but I don't have any other option. I can't refuse this marriage when I was the one who messed up this marriage in the first place. I can promise that I will take your full responsibility"
Aadrita's expression turned serious, "Arjun you are not getting my point here, it's not about you alone. This marriage comes with a huge responsibility for me too. I am not ready to take that. Marriage is not a game that we are going to play or a time-limited relationship. We will be bound for an entire lifetime. "
Arjun can only persuade her "Aadrita, we can take our time, No one is ready to take any responsibility. We can do this together. I am also new to all these matters. We can take it slow."
Aadrita knew there was nothing more they could do. He cannot refuse because he messed up the marriage and she can't refuse because of her father's promise. But still, she made her final attempt "Are u really going to marry me?"
Arjun saw that time ticking through, so he replied as usual in his cold attitude, "You know that's the only option that we have now. I don't have much expectation from my marriage. What I want in my marriage are trust and loyalty. I believe that you will keep that. I will also keep the same. I will not pressurize you to do anything you don't wish to. So let's do this. I don't know how our life will turn out but I will try my best. Do you have anything else to say?"
Aadrita deflated like a balloon. She did know that marriage will be the outcome but still, she needed to give the last attempt.
" No, but thanks for coming. I will also try to do the same"
"Finally, Everything is settled. "Arjun thought to himself.
He thought now all he needed to do was get married and take Aadrita to his family. He never thought that she would agree to this marriage so easily.
THUD.
With a kick, the door was opened and five people rushed into the room as though they wanted to beat him to a pulp.
"NO, YOU CAN'T MARRY HER"
Aadrita and the elders in her family were never a problem. The real problem was HER COUSINS.
Cousins..though it sounds distant, Some cousins are sweethearts and more close than real siblings
