Cured With Just One Treatment

The dorm leader was looking over a crystal orb where the scene of the Lotus's bedroom could be seen.

"Is it clear now, Malleus?" Lilia called over to him with a frown.

"The fog has cleared." The dorm leader nodded his head with a look of confusion, "From the moment you walked in, the fog cleared up."

"Is that so..." Lilia hummed in deep thoughts and glanced over to Sebek only to see that the guy was still unable to pay attention to anything but the crystal. Lilia sighed in disappointment. Normally, Sebek was very attentive at work, but, since the argument, he has remained quiet and dull. Normally, crystal orbs should also be able to display audio, however, Lotus's room was a little more different and no sounds could be recorded. If Silver had not gone to check on her, he was already that Sebek may have already exploded. He had never seen anyone capable of affecting this guy to this extent aside from their group.

"Lilia, this timing..." Silver began with a look of concern.

"I know." Lilia wore a small yet disappointed smile, "It looks like I will have to do some escorting for a bit. I'll just leave Malleus to you two."

"Escorting?" Sebek looked to him in confusion and surprise. Wasn't he suppose to be the one keeping an eye on that guy?

Lilia easily read his mind and responded bluntly, "With your current state of mind, can you really keep an eye on our guest? Besides, he's not a threat but a fellow student that needs some help."

Hearing this, Sebek was surprised and upset. This was a job that Malleus and Lilia had given him previously! Did this mean that he was unable to meet the young master's expectations?! No, he can't disappoint the two of them! Sebek spoke up quickly, "I-! I can watch over him!"

"Oh?" Lilia looked at Sebek in surprise.

"Since the young master and Lilia wanted me to do so, I will definitely accomplish it!" He stated resolutely.

Lilia raised a brow and saw Malleus was also in deep thoughts before looking back at him.

Upon returning to the spatial ring using restroom break as an excuse, Lotus managed to return in time for the procedure. Huo Wei was already lying on the bed. With this, she retracted the needle that stopped his spiritual powers from flowing and showed him a pill, "The process will be painful. I will use my needles to keep your blood flow in place. At once I'm done. I will feed you this pill. It will make your blood flow increase. We will use my spiritual energy to pump out the rest of the infected blood from your body using your dantian. Since I only just released the channels for your energy to travel through, the power will be enough to keep the blood flowing out, but you will have to bear with the pain for half an hour. I will give you another pill that will help your body create more clean blood later."

Hearing her plans and feeling the strong flow of energy, the man nodded his head, "I understand... What is your chance of success?"

"Naturally, ninety-five percent of success." Lotus responded bluntly before turning to him with a raised brow, "Unless you don't trust me?"

"It's not that, master. I trust your words completely." He replied readily yet still a little stunned. It was just that the poison have troubled many people who depended on the sect for the temporary antidote that could only be attained through their loyalty and devotion to the sect. Others who have tried to find miracle doctors for the cure all died during the procedures and all were given percentages that were lower than fifty!

Lotus naturally knew his thoughts and huffed in dismay, "All they can do is blame on themselves for not being skilled enough. Medicine isn't just something you can just do believing that you would understand as long as you work hard enough. That would only get you so far. Only by having talent, experience, and deep understanding can they truly master medicine. It seems that those people were unfortunate to have met such doctors. The corpse flower isn't complicated to understand, just requires proper knowledge and required skills. Just this medicine isn't enough to cure you. I still need to burn away the poison that rests in your marrow. Unfortunately, it will be really painful. You will also require medicated baths to thoroughly deplete all of those tainted blood for the next three days. I suspect the Twin Needle Sect have the actual pills to completely cure you, but it will attract the attention of the other members if you do that. This is a roundabout way to cure it without getting caught, so naturally there's a price to pay. However, after the pain is over, you can begin recovery."

"This one understands." Huo Wei responded firmly.

"Okay. Zhang Li, prepare the water. Huo Wei, I need to insert the needles into your chest and stomach as well. So, you'll need to take off the top half of your clothes." She said this as she took out her needle set.

Zhang Li walked in with the large bowls of water. Lotus sat on a wooden stool and began to insert the needles decisively into his body. One by one, she pin-pointed the places she needed to put the needles in and inserted them slowly. With each needle inserted into his body, Huo Wei began to feel the blood began to build up inside his body and was slowly becoming a little light headed as if the blood was flowing up to his head. After inserting the last of the needles into him, she fed him the pill. After processing the pill, he began to feel pain in his body and a slight sense of nausea. Lotus instructed Zhang Li, "Keep him down. If he moves now, his chances of survival will plummet down to fifty or he may not even live."

Zhang Li nodded and kept his shoulders pressed down with both hands lightly. Lotus took one wrist and sent her spiritual in to examine the situation once more. With the spiritual power pushing on the blood flow and his blood flow stopped, the body naturally wanted to push against the needles so it could resume the flow through the veins. Upon examination, she navigated from the contaminated murky blood kept in place by her needles. If the blood's poison had detected her presence, it would've already exploded on his veins without a second to waste. It was only because she stopped the blood from flowing that she prevent the blood cells from destroying his veins and arteries. She quickly found the infected marrows one by one and planted her flames on each one without letting them consume the poison.

When she was done, she opened her eyes and instructed Zhang Li to help her prop up the man so she could transfer her spiritual energy into him. Placing her hands on his back, she used her spiritual sense to get in touch with each flames and instantly set all flames to start burning away at the poison soaked into the marrow!

The pain seared into Huo Wei's body as he wasn't prepared for the pain to be this excruciating or long lasting! However Zhang Li was ready and kept him in place as the man's face scrunched up painfully. It didn't take long for him to cough up purple blood. However, neither of the two could leave his side to clean up the mess as it was not as important as the success of this procedure and his life!

Two hours had passed and Lotus could see that there was not even a single trace of poison from that flower left in his marrows. It was a good thing that it had finally finished too since she was worried that the man would soon pass out if it still wasn't finished.

She quickly retracted her divine sense and hurried to the small container of water as she instructed firmly, "Put him up against a pillow. We need to drain as much of the poison as we possibly can."

"Yes, young master."

Zhang Li gathered the pillows and placed them behind Huo Wei propping his back up. Lotus took out the needles one by one, but leaving some behind so that the shock force from the pressure suddenly being released wouldn't damage his vital parts. She quickly pricked all of his five digits and allowed the blood to flow into the water creating a purple hue in the waters. At first, the blood flowed out like a trickle of water ready to burst of out a hose packed with water.

The blood flowed out steadily without a change in momentum. It was only after she did this did Huo Wei opened his eyes feeling that the pain was slowly subsiding from his body now. Naturally, his eyes shifted towards Lotus who was changing the water handing the bloody one to Zhang Li and instructing her how to properly dispose of it. As the pain slowly ebbed away, he could also feel the absence of the internal pain that once coursed through his body. Could it be? Did she really cured him with just one treatment?!

Finally, I have the time to work on this! I was so busy with my original that it was difficult to keep working on this one! It was difficult to make Sebek not sound like himself, but it was needed to show that the matter is rather serious. I'm glad that I was able to figure out a way to bring his senses back again quickly.
