Chapter 42 Lavinia

"Why did you do that?" Emmy questions Ji Hoon.

"What? Revealing our relationship? You weren't ready?"

"No... it's just, what about Jee Eun and Tay?"

"Emmy, listen to me. I've made you waited long enough, now I wanna be able to just walk on the street, holding hands with you, doing what couples are supposed to do. And... I always say that I love the three of you equally, but the order still matters. You were there for me from the beginning, which is why if I'm gonna reveal anyone first, it's gonna be you."

"Ji Hoon... what's going on with you these few days? You suddenly become such a... sweet talker."

"Maybe before I just wasn't trying? Why? You don't like me doing it?"

Next day in the airport

"So you really decided to come, have you thought that maybe this is a trap or a scam?"

"Anything would be better than the situation I'm in right now."

"Is that even a real place? I've never heard of it before."

"Which is why we are not going through a normal flight."

Ji Hoon brings them to a hangar outside.

"Brina prepared this for us yesterday." He points to the private helicopter.

"Well, where's the pilot?"

Ji Hoon points at himself.

"Y-you?"

Ji Hoon shows him his pilot license.

"I'm starting to think that this might be a bad idea."

After a three hours flight

"Wake up, we are here." Ji Hoon wakes Emmy and Calvin up.

Emmy and Calvin look out the window and see a vineyard and a mansion in the center of it.

"Erm... is there anything I should be mindful of before meeting this erm Brina?"

"She is not the one you should be worry about, it's her father. Well, just be polite, answer their question only when asked and leave the rest to me."

Ji Hoon lands the helicopter safely at the helipad behind the mansion.

When they step out from the heli, they are greeted by an old butler.

"Welcome to the Lavinia mansion, Mr. Kim."

"Good to see you again Charles, you look good."

"Thank you Mr. Kim, it's very good to see you too. Please come with me, they are expecting you."

They are brought inside the mansion, to the living room, there are three person waiting for them there.

"Jay~!" A princess looking girl, rushes to Ji Hoon, jumps and clings on him.

"H-hi Brina, still as lively as ever I see, but you should get down now, your parents are watching."

Her father, a man in his forty is looking at him sternly ever since he entered the room, while her mother is just smilling all the way.

Ji Hoon puts her down, and walks up to the both of them, Calvin and Emmy followed.

"Mr. and Mrs. Lavinia, nice to see you are doing well." He then bows his head.

"Hahahahaha! Our saviour! You finally decide to give us a visit!"

"Sorry, I've been really busy since my discharge."

"I know, we've been watching you! Good work on the concert and congratulations on the award, congratulations to you too young lady!" He looks towards Emmy.

"T-thank you!" Emmy wasn't ready for him to speak to her, so she stutterred.

"Come, my wife has been wanting to show you her cooking since she knew you were coming two days ago."

"Yes, my dear boy we can talk about everything else after the dinner, make yourself at home."

During the dinner, they only talked about stuffs that happen in daily life. In the meantime, Ji Hoon also keeps Emmy and Calvin engaged by talking about topics related to entertainment industry.

After the dinner, they are brought to the study, this is where all the serious talk will begin.

"So, Brina told me that you need five hundred million dollar, I wanna know why you need it."

"It would be better if Calvin here explain it to you directly." Ji Hoon pushes Calvin forward.

"W-what?"

After 10 mins of explanation

"Hmm, I have several questions for this. One, what do I get in return. Two, if things didn't go as planned, how do you plan on returning the money to me. And three, the most important question, why should I help you?" He asks Calvin.

The room goes silent.

"Dad..." Brina tries to interject, then got pulled back by her mother.

"For now, I want everyone except Jay to leave the room."

"Why?! You are going to make things difficult for Jay aren't you?!"

"C'mon Brina, your dad must've something important to talk to him privately. Give them some space. All of you, come with me, I'll show you around the house." Her mom steps in once again.

Only Ji Hoon and Mr. Lavinia are left in the room.

"Mr. Lavinia, I-"

"I told you to call me uncle when we are alone right?"

"Uncle Bernard."

"That's better. I said I won't help that guy Calvin, because I don't know him, he is just a nobody to me. But you, you are different from everyone else. I don't just give this address to anyone. You are one of few people in this world that knows this place."

"I don't understand... why?"

"What was it that you always tell people? You slipped, and then you got sniped? That's totally bullshit. You are telling one of the best in the special force would just slip during a mission? I know you blocked the bullet for Brina, but you were right that you were lucky, because that bullet did miss your heart, by inches."

Ji Hoon just stands there and says nothing.

"I'm sure, my wife and Brina knew that too. Which is why me and my family will always appreciate what you did for us."

"I'm just doing my job."

"That's an answer from a soilder, not from a 20 years old young boy. So! Let's put this out of the way. I have a counter offer for you, I will buy all the shares from the current shareholders in the Marvelous Studio, don't ask how, I have my ways. And then I'll distribute the shares, 25% for you, 25% for me, 25% for Brina and since you trust Calvin so much, 15% for him too, and the rest will go to the writers. However, I want to see big profit from his next project. If he fails, I'll take back the 15% from him, make sure to tell him that."

"I'll do that."

"Next, about the rights of the superheroes, I will put them under Pixie Entertainment."

"What? I don't-"

"That's not a question, I'm gonna need just 5% of the shares of Pixie Entertainment in order for this to work, Brina can hold them for me. As for the movies, I'll also provide the promotions needed and get the movie in as many theaters as we can."

He gives Ji Hoon some time to digest what he said.

"And one last condition. This is a request from me to you as a man and as a father. First, let me tell you a story."
