Chapter 35

Seth always had fun with his kids no matter how old they get. The past couple days were the best. The weekend had gone in a flash and it was Monday already. He had received a text from his wife saying that she was going to pick up the kids at four to have them ready to go. Seth had just walked through the door. He had come back from work. Working at third shift was not that bad. His kids were asleep by the time he left and were awake when he got back. Even though his sleep schedule gets extremely messed up with them there, he never cared. The time with them was irreplaceable. The doorbell went off and Seth knew who it was. He opened the door and his wife was on the other side. "Are the kids ready?" She questioned.

"Yeah!" Seth said. "Why didn't you tell me?" Seth questioned the woman standing in front of him. She took in a big sigh and let it out showing her annoyance.

"One of them opened their mouth didn't they?" She was not really upset, just annoyed. "We could have talked-"

"No Seth, we couldn't talk about any of it. Listen. I don't have time to argue about this in the hallway." "Then when will the time be."

"Listen Seth." His wife spoke as she took in another breath and let it out. "We may have been in love when we were younger, but you were not really in love with me as much as I was with you. I understand that you tried your best, but that was not what I wanted. I want a man that has me first place in their heart, not second."

"Mary." Seth whispered his wife's name.

"Mom!" Sarah ran over to her mother.

"Hey girl! Did you have fun with your father?" Mary placed a sweet smile on her face.

"Mom, we are all ready." Michael spoke up. Seth turned to look at the boys behind him.

"Okay, then let's go." Mary spoke. She looked up at Seth. "Since you already know what's going on, than you won't be surprised when you find those documents in your mail." Seth knew what she was talking about and couldn't say anything back. He just waved as his kids left. "Bye bye." Sarah waved as they went disappeared around the corner.

Seth sighed as he stared at the same old man that had been coming every day to the ER to just flirt with the nurses. The old man had talked about having a headache and Seth knew very well the man didn't have one. At his age, if he gave him any medication for something he knew the man stated he had, would have some effects.

"Why don't you just go home and rest?" Seth explained to the man

"But the headache won't go away. Can't you give me something for it? Like maybe get one of those nurses to come over and give me a head rub.

"This is not a spa." Seth exclaimed. "You just need to go home, drink water and rest. The headache will go away." Seth stood up.

"Are you not going to take care of me?" Seth sighed again.

"I will tell a nurse to come in and give you a head rub." He turned to face the old man. "And no funny business." The man nodded and Seth left the room. Seth took in a deep sigh. "Doctor, are you okay?" Seth looked down and saw a nurse looking up at him.

"Hey are you busy right now?" He questioned.

"Um, I was supposed to get you and let you know that you had a patient waiting in room 7." "What about after that?" She looked at him confused. "No why?" Seth pointed to the door behind him.

"The man in there is an elderly man. He has a headache and wants a head rub." Her eyes turned to

slits and her smile disappeared.

"It's not him is it?" She questioned.

"It's just to get him out of here." Seth spoke. "I told him no funny business, and if he does try something, just kick him out saying that he is plenty healthy." The young nurse huffed a few time before answering.

"Fine! But you will owe me."

"I'll buy you dinner or something." He laughed. The young nurse walked over to the door and turned to look at the doctor before walking in.

"You better remember that dinner." Seth smiled.

"I won't." She smiled as she opened the door.

"So sir. I hear you have a headache."

"Oh yes I do. It on this sid-" the door closed cutting off the old man.

So room seven. I wonder what is going on there. Seth forgot to ask what was going on with the patient. His feet started to head towards the room.
