Arriving at the temple

Raja then said, "Have you figured out how to get into more than one stream at the same time?"

And Gen said, "Yes, it's like I said before. We need to get into the streams naturally."

"I heard you last time, but what do you mean naturally?"

"I mean without interference. That is, without doing anything."

"Without doing anything? Like we are doing now?"

"Yes. We have to let the current take us into the other current. That's the right way to get into more than one current at the same time."

"Are you sure, Gen? How do you know it wasn't luck both times?"

"Simple Raja. Think of all the times we tried to get into more than one stream."

"I remember, what about it?"

"Now tell me what we did to get into the currents."

"What did we do? I don't know."

"Then I'll tell you. Every time we tried to get in, we kept trying to trim the boat as the currents were colliding, and the vast majority of the time, that got us into one current instead of two, and we could never get into three currents that way. Then, there was a moment earlier when you said that it seemed like it didn't matter what we did, and that made me think that maybe that was the problem. Maybe we needed to do nothing. I then tested it, and it turns out I was right."

Raja then said, "What? How can you be sure of that, Gen?"

And Lina said, "Gen is right. I was thinking here, and most of the times when we managed to get into more than one current, it was when we were resting, which made us do nothing while the currents collided."

Briny then said, "I'm not sure, but it seems that doing nothing is working so far, so maybe this really is the right way."

And Gen said, "It sure is. I get how this phase works now."

Raja then said, "Hold on, Gen."

And Gen said, "What's wrong, Raja?"

"It doesn't make sense that the way to get through is to do nothing."

"Why not? Didn't you see that we were able to get into three streams at the same time like that?"

"I did, but the event gave us all these marks so that we could move the boat and find the currents. Why would it give us this if the way to pass it is to stand still?"

"It's simple, Raja. The whole point of it giving us these tools was to take our focus off the real way of passing."

"I don't know, Gen. I can believe that standing still might be the right way to pass, but I wanted to be sure of that."

"Well, there's another reason why you should believe that's the right way."

"There is another one? What reason is that?"

"The goal of this challenge is the same as the goal of the first phase."

"The same as the first phase? What do you mean, Gen?"

"In the first stage, the goal was to get to the end of the maze, and the right way to do that was to follow the path the sand was going."

"Yeah, but what does that have to do with this challenge?"

"It's simple. The goal of this challenge is to get to the water temple, and the right way to do that is to follow the path the current is taking. Does that make sense to you?"

"Not really."

"Pay attention. In the first phase of the event, we followed the sand, and then we got to the exit. Now, in the second phase of the event, we have to follow the current and to do that, we just have to let it take us, see?"

"Hm, I see what you mean. It really does make sense if you think about it that way."

"Yes, let's keep moving forward without interfering and see if we can get to the water temple. If we don't get there, we'll start thinking of another way."

"Okay."

The boat then moved on, and after a while, it ran into another current. They stood there doing nothing as they had decided, and the boat then entered this new current, which caused it to be pulled by four at once.

It then moved on, and after some time, they were already arriving at the water temple. When they got very close, the boat lost speed, and it began to approach the temple very slowly until it stopped in front of it.

Raja then said, "Looks like you were right, Gen. Staying still was the right way."

And Gen said, "Good because I had no idea what it would be like otherwise."

Raja then said, "I don't think anybody would have.", and they all agreed.

Gen then said, "Well, let's get off the boat.", and they then got off.

Raja then looked around and said, "Wow, there are a lot of canoes here."

And Briny said, "Each one of these canoes belongs to a group. It looks like we are very late."

Raja then said, "How come all these groups got here before us? I didn't see any canoes pass us while we were at sea."

And Briny said, "That's to be expected. After all, just like in the first phase, during the second phase, we were isolated from the other groups so that we could focus on getting through without interference."

Raja then said, "Hm, I get it. Now it makes sense."

Gen then said, "What should we do now, Briny?"

And Briny said, "Well, the temple looks the same as always, so come with me."

She then started to go in one direction, and the other three went after her.

They then observed the temple on the way there, and Raja said, "Wow. The temple is huge."

And Gen said, "That's true. It is enormous. I wasn't expecting it."

Briny then said, "Nobody expects it, hahaha."

Some time then passed, and they came to a huge open door, and Briny said, "This is the entrance to the water temple. Let's go.", and then she went through the door with the others, and after they went through the door, it was as if they had arrived somewhere else.

They then started looking around, and Raja said, "Look, there are other people here.", and then they all looked in the direction he was looking and saw that there were some groups of people who seemed to be talking about something.

Gen then said, "What do we do, Briny? Should we avoid them?"

And Briny said, "No, on the contrary. We need to go in the direction they are."

Gen then said, "Okay. Let's go.", and then went towards the large group of people.

As they approached, they began to hear people's voices, and then they heard a man say, "This is my orb!"

And then a woman said, "No. I already told you that we are next. If you want to cut in line, you'll have to fight us all."

Raja then said, "It looks like they are discussing something."

And Gen said, "That's right. Something about an orb."

Briny then said, "That's common. I'll explain it to you after we get there."

And Gen said, "Okay.", and then they continued toward the group.

As they got closer, the people in the group saw them approaching and looked at them, but after a few seconds, they all looked back at the fight that was going on. The man then looked around and saw that there must have been at least eight different groups in that place, and they were all looking in his direction.

He then said, "Okay. I'll wait my turn."

And the woman said, "Very good. You made the right choice."

When everyone saw that the fight was over, they all turned their attention to Gen's group that was coming.

The woman who was speaking earlier then said, "Welcome. You are the tenth group in line."

And Raja asked, "Line? What's this line for?"

Briny then pointed and said, "To get that orb that's floating over there.", all three then looked in the direction she had pointed, and then they saw an orb of light that was moving in the air.

Gen then said, "This orb of light must be important, right? After all, these groups are waiting to get it."

And Briny said, "Yes. It is essential to the event."

Gen then said, "Well, then let's wait our turn."

And Briny said, "We can't do that."

"Hm? Why not?"

"Because after this orb is taken, it will take eight hours to appear again."

"Eight hours?!"

"Yes, and since we are the tenth group, that means we would have to wait three days to get our orb."

"Three days is a long time. What do we do?"

Briny was about to speak, but Lina then said, "It's very simple."

She then went towards the orb, and the woman from before said, "What do you want?"

And Lina said, "That orb is mine."
