/"Why the hell would he ask me?/" The single thought ran through Nicole's head all day long.

She speed-walked down to her locker and was grabbing her things when she felt a hand on her shoulder causing her to suddenly flinch and spin around.

/"Woah there,/" Seth chuckled, looking at her with his eyebrows raised in amusement. /"Are you okay?/"

/"Yeah, just peachy! Why do you ask?/" Nicole muttered sarcastically, annoyance radiating off of her as she rolled her eyes.

/"You aren't even placing your things in your bag, you're literally dropping them all on the ground./" Parker pointed out, quirking an eyebrow in question as he wondered what was going on with her.

Nicole glanced down to see that Parker was right. /"Hey Parker, can I talk to you?/" She narrowed her eyes at him, skeptically.

/"Uh... sure?/" Parker looked at her, utterly confused. He couldn't think or a reason as to why she would want to talk to him.
