Chapter 53

“That’s a great idea,” Philip said. “It would give you a chance to spend some time with Roger.”

“Where’s your house?” Angela said.

“Fort Walton Beach,” I said. “It’s right on the beach, and there are three bedrooms, so there’s plenty of room.”

“Actually, we were planning to visit relatives down in Mobile,” Mason said, “but I think we can work around that.”

Both of the babies went right back to sleep after their feeding, and the women took them back to the nursery. After they returned, conversation began to wind down, and the Cartwrights left. Marie helped us check up on all the boys; then we retired for the evening.

Over the course of the next two days, Philip once again took the boys truck shopping, and they acquired a second truck, that was almost a twin of the first, along with another trailer and the needed equipment. By Saturday, the boys had the new crew hard at work.
