Chapter 24

Later, when Philip and I emerged from the dressing room in the pool enclosure, we noted that the boys were horsing around at the shallow end of the pool. As we entered the pool, they headed for the Jacuzzi. Half an hour or so later, when Philip and I settled into the Jacuzzi, the boys excused themselves to go shower, change, and return to the house

When they were out of sight and hearing range, I said, “I have two observations.”

“Yes?”

“One, Roger is a real blond, and two, both boys have trimmed their pubes.”

“I noticed the former. As for the latter, I noticed it as well. It probably has something to do with being on the swim team. Trimming, and for that matter shaving, is all the rage with swim teams these days.”

“Really?”

“Yes. I’ve been reading up on such things in an attempt to hone my parenting skills, so to speak.”

“Good for you. This will give us some practice for dealing with Mark, Steven, and the rest.”
