He’s also under a restraining order, that prohibits him from coming anywhere near his son, and the Louisiana police will be happy to have him back in custody.” I didn’t have to explain who the son was—the security people had been fully briefed when Steve had moved in.

“Detective Howard of the Atlanta Police Department has a file on the case,” Philip said.

“I still want to see my son,” Frank said.

“I can assure you that my nephew doesn’t want to see you,” Philip said. “However, you’ll see him at your trial when he testifies concerning the beating you gave him. You damn near killed him.”
