To Be Dumbfounded

"To be honest… I heard very bad things about her… first of all, apparently, she was fired from her previous job as a part-time model because she betrayed her company!" Annu voiced with a sneer as if he was truly feeling disgusted about this entire situation.

Then showing a mocking smile, he went on, "And secondly, I heard she slept around with her higher-ups in order to rise in her ranks as a part-time model to a full-time model!"

"Who told you this information? And what's the name of this person?" With a slight frown, Raphael inquired casually.

"Of course, I asked an acquaintance who works in that company she got fired from! And her name is Mina Love, she's one of the interviewees, I'm sure you just interviewed her since I saw her in the waiting hall." He clarified with a thrust-out chin.

Abruptly glaring at Annu with his penetrating sharp eyes, Raphael queried, "You know what kind of consequence lying about this kind of matter would result for you, right?"

Shaken up, a few droplets of sweat began to cover Annu's forehead as he responded in a hurry, "I wouldn't dare… I won't dare… I'm speaking the truth."

"Alright, you may leave then." He dismissed him just like that.

"Yes, manager."

As Annu left, Raphael murmured, "I remember that weirdo woman, she was saying she'll be absolutely loyal to the company at least. But she has betrayed her previous company? Is she a hypocrite?" Then, picking up a certain resume, he wrote a large 'X' on it before throwing it into the trash can beside himself.

Closing the door of Raphael's office, Annu released a sigh of relief while thinking, "Phew… that was close, he's a really frightening manager… although that was a huge risk from my part… at least, the matter of Mina working here should've been solved now. She won't ever get to work here!"

Currently, Kay was sitting in his office. Now, he was certain that Mina had left as he couldn't find her anywhere.

'I really need to know what happened yesterday…' As this notion popped into his head, he picked a resume from among many papers which were placed on his desk.

After staring at the number written on this certain resume briefly, picking his phone, he dialed the number.

Beep~ Beep~

"Yes?" The call was answered as a familiar feminine voice was heard from the other side of the line.

"Where did you go?" Kay questioned rather coldly.

"…" Mina, who was having a really bad day after crossing paths with Annu, was greatly annoyed by this random trouble-maker called who was apparently calling to bother her, so with a few veins appearing on his face, she answered, "Get lost, moron! My day's already bad enough! If you call me one more time, I'll report you!"

Beep~ Beep~...

Just like that, the line was cut off.

In the meantime, with his eyes now wide open, Kay was forced into a deep state of stupefaction.

A few seconds later, finally snapping out of his stupor, he murmured, "What the fuck did just happen?"
