Chapter 1.2

This realization caused Avaritia to jump up and wonder why a monster wouldn't try to kill him. He could easily be one-shot and it would be game over.

(It was known that some monsters employ sadistic hunting tactics to kill their prey. Maybe this monster is one of those)

After knowing this, Avaritia tries to step away from the tree monster that looks at him in confusion as he steps away. Before he could turn around and run, Cabraken jumped up and grabbed Avaritia's arm. Pulling him behind Cabrakan, he provided some distance from the lake. Avaritia tried to break free, but Cabrakan's grip was too strong. He looked around, trying to figure out why he suddenly became alert.

(could it sense I was about to run and stopped me....wait no, no that wouldn't make sense.) Avaritia scan the area around them to see what could cause this change in demeanor till his eyes rest on the lake.

A burst of water shot out of the lake cutting off Avaritia's thought process blasting many of the surrounding objects into the air disrupting the once-peaceful scenery into a muddy mess. Rocks ranging in severity are hurled toward them. Cabrakan slammed his roots onto the ground pushing them up the ground and creating a wall to prevent the rocks from crushing them.
