The Bet

"So I have been looking for him all over the place but I have had no luck. I happened to overhear from some people though that he apparently looks a lot different and made a bet with one of the ladies of the leaf. So now I am going to look for him and I will get back to you once I do"

After a very short time the camera turns back on and has a highly grainy footage that barely shows anything beyond a few pixels.

"If you look at where I have it aimed at I found him because he didn't change his hair cut. Though he does look taller and now has facial hair he can't escape from my sleuthing abilities. Heheh."

The camera shows the light yellow pixel that it was zoomed in on disappear and then the camera pans back out to normal zoom.

"Wait where did he go this time? God dammit he always gets away."

A man appears behind the attempted Narrator and crouches before talking to him.

"Who got away?"

Without even looking back the narrator responded, "Joseph. That bastard keeps getting away from me whenever I get close to him. Its like he knows I am watching him and trying to get ratings up."

Joseph then chuckles at the Narrator before tapping his shoulder. The camera then turns and follows the Narrators view and shows Joseph with a grin on his face, "Now that I have your attention I'm gonna tell you to come back next time but this time try not getting upset too easily."

The camera points downward and starts shaking quickly as there are sounds of feet running against the pavement.

You know, I'm getting sick of my viewers getting ditched right as something big is going down, and then this shit happens where someone is trying to Narrate for me while not even continuing where things left off at?

Not going to happen, I'll only concede my first person narration if someone more qualified comes along, and so far it hasn't happened.

So anyways, where were we? Hm, got permission from Hokage... Oh yeah the bet!

Yeah, it was a spur of the moment confidence and partially since I know Tsunade has a bit of an addiction to gambling. So right after I said that she got a fire in her eyes and quickly responded, "Yes!"

That was too easy, "Okay, if I win I want a date." I grin at her but this gets a frown from her. Jesus I didn't tell her to kill her first born in sacrifice to me. "If you're concerned you can always make the losing condition for what I have to do just that much worse."

She puts her hand to her chin and sinks into contemplation before smiling evilly, "Alright. If you lose you have to be my test dummy for a day. I have some new techniques I want to try." If I didn't just visibly shiver then I don't know what else could possibly make me shiver in any world.

"Alright sounds good. The bet is that before this coming weekend I can kill Danzo and convert Orochimaru." Cocky? Oh it sure does sound cocky, but honestly going for completing 3 quests this fast is extremely cocky. On the bright side taking care of Danzo should be easy... should be. I mean I took away his regeneration.

She then laughs out loud, "You think you can take care of both of them in less than 3 days? God I thought you were a fool but holy shit, my stomach hurts. Ooh breathe Tsunade breath. Oh man, I should've asked for more honestly if I knew that was going to be the bet. Oh well what's done is done." She finally managed to get her laughter under control and she wiped the tears that were forming in her eyes, "This must be me getting a lucky streak, I'm going to go hit the slots before I lose it." She waves as she leaves the room.

"Oh yes Joseph, I should inform you there are no Uchiha born with the name Shisui at this moment. I checked with the patriarch of their clan and there was nothing to be done." Damn there goes my back up plan for Orochimaru.

"Well do you know where Danzo is right now? I figure I may as well get it over with now rather than later." He calls an Anbu over that whispers some things to him before he leaves.

"It appears he is currently going to eat some Ramen in a few moments. Do you have any tools?" Oh shit tools, that's right.

I shake my head, "If you have a sword I will take it. I don't really know how to use anything else yet." He nods and calls another Anbu over who then presents me with a sword. I am no expert so I can't tell how high quality it is, but I'll give benefit of the doubt.

"Good luck." The Hokage says as I walk off. I then go and flash towards one of my formations by Ramen Ichiraku, and as soon as I get there I activate my quadruple blink step making everything slow down much more than before, maybe because I made my Chakra denser again. After a few minutes of walking I ran into Danzo who was casually strolling.

Haha so leveling up Analysis does help me looking at higher leveled stats! Well time to use my skill steal. What? I spent 7 years in there, of course it's timer reset. Got a notification and everything. Yes I know how broken that is and I approve. Well I guess it's balanced since I mean I'll die if I do that too much because you know, old age.

Okay yeah that makes sense now. Well time to execute my kill. I stop the Jutsu and start walking as naturally as I can, I start going through all the techniques I can think of that show sheer badassery but there weren't many.

After a bit of walking I remember existence beheading. I start practicing it in my mind a few times before I think I have it down enough, then I pull out the sword the Hokage gave me, but I don't remove it from its sheath. I look at Danzo who seemed to notice my killing intent directed at him, but to his shock he can't seem to do anything with his sword, his hands, or his feet since I took away all of his important abilities.

I then look up and pull the sword slightly, turning the world around me to black and white, I rush towards him pulling my sword quickly and slashing at him before I rush past him and re-sheath the sword. After I do, with the world fading from black and white, a spurt of red appears in the air and spreads on the ground from the arm I cut off of him.

He doesn't scream at all throughout this, I walk up to him and stare him dead in his eye, "I don't respect you at all. You always choose the most brutal way to do things and always feel threatened by those that have more power than you, but let me tell you this." I bend down to get close to him, "There will always be those stronger than you, I am no exception to this." While being close to him I pull out the sword and give the finishing blow to his neck, causing his neck to fall off.

I blink away into an alleyway and vomit, god now I know why Tsunade got traumatized by blood. Man I always thought it'd be easy to kill someone like in video games, movies, and TV. Well I guess it was, but its different doing it with your own two hands. God, I think I'll be fine from now on, those years of watching horror movies helped me out a lot.

Woah, so this is what that small of a boost does? I feel so much better, this is epic. I'll save the gifts and the points for later, I am going to take care of Orochimaru now. I flash over to outside of the Hokage's office and knock on the door.

After a few moments the Hokage tells me to enter, he seemed to be buried under a bunch of paperwork again. How have they not thought of going and getting multiple departments yet? This is so inefficient.

"I took care of Danzo and I don't know where Orochimaru is so I need someone to take me there."

He sighs before looking up at me, "I'm aware you took care of Danzo, you turned your surroundings black and white for gods sake. People noticed when the building a block away were suddenly black and white AND color. God that took so much explaining to do." He rubs his eyes, "I'll send and Anbu to escort you down to the prison to see Orochimaru. Just don't kill him please. If you can't convince him just get out of there, I don't want to see another one of my shinobi die." I can see the sadness in his eyes so as soon as the Anbu arrived I followed him to the prison.

I walked down to the cell the Anbu said was Orochimaru's cell while the Anbu stayed just within earshot. I looked into the cell and saw a quite depressing looking Orochimaru.

"So, you have any regrets?" He looks at me before scoffing. "You know, you can study forbidden techniques all you want but it won't bring your parents back. In fact it will make them just become disappointed in you." He looks at me again, this time without scoffing though.

I sit down with my back against the wall looking into the cell, "I plan on sitting here as long as it takes to get you to talk to me. So don't worry about being lonely, heh." I smirk as he looks at me with a scowl.

"You know, I know about the whole thing with you wanting to become immortal an I'll tell you right now it's not worth it. What would you do if you were all alone?" He looks at me for a moment before going back to looking at nothing, "I'd say if you had someone you love then being immortal would be better, but as far as I know there is nobody you love, which just leaves you with your friends." He winces a bit when I mention him not having a lover, I'm getting in.

"What would you do if Jiraiya were to die right in front of you? Or Tsunade? You may have goals but I know you care about them, because they cared about you. Want to know where this path of yours leads to? Because I know." It seems I finally caught his attention.

"Where does it lead to then since you seem to know everything." He has so much disdain in his voice, but I can still tell he is curious enough to listen to me talk.

"Well honestly you don't die as far as I am aware so that's good news. But you indirectly lead to Jiraiya's death. You also actually do lead to the current Hokage, Sarutobi, to die. You even go as far as to desecrate the 1st and 2nd Hokage's corpses to kill him." I shake my head. "The only person that I know cares about you that I didn't mention was Tsunade, but you want to know something? When you gave her a shortcut to get back her loved ones she almost takes it. Almost. She gets stopped though because she knows that they are dead and they won't be the same."

He turned away from me when I looked at him with a tear in his eyes. "I understand how it feels to be without anyone else, I can't imagine what it is like to lose your parents either, but I know that because you carried such disregard for peoples lives you have led to many families from the leaf being destroyed. Is that fair to do to people what happened to you? I know what happened to you wasn't fair, and I'm not saying to give up on your parents but to go on with their memory and remember them for trying to bring you into this world to love you, not for you to be born and grow with hate."

I can hear him sobbing lightly while turned around, "Orochimaru, you are a genius. Act like it, your parents brought you into this world with love and you should have realized this by now so you should reciprocate their feelings and try to bring the world itself love instead of hate and destruction. I am going to leave now to let you think about things, if you decide to listen to me go talk to the Hokage and tell him everything." I walk away and nod at the Anbu who leads the way back towards the Hokage's office.

While on the way I got a notification that couldn't help but make me smile:

Hehehe. Well time to claim my date I guess right? No, actually I'll do that tomorrow. For now I'll tell the Hokage what happened then go back home and sleep in my new furniture. I'll let the Hokage break the news to Tsunade.

After walking back from the Prison the Anbu knocks on the door and waiting for the Hokage to approve entrance before he opens it and allowing me inside. Is the Hokage sure these guys are actually ninja and not butlers?

After I enter the Hokage looks at me and sighs, "Since it's only been 30 minutes I assume it didn't work?" Oh ye of little faith.

I smile, "Oh no, it worked actually. I think I got him to the point where he actually is going to develop some much needed empathy that will let him function better."

The Hokage sighs, "Why do I keep getting surprised? So how did you do it?" I chuckle a bit.

"Well told him that immortality is boring when alone, that his parents brought him into this world with the intention of it being one filled with love, and I told him he indirectly killed one of his friends if he continued down this path and that he actually killed someone important should he continue. Oh and that he defiles some really important people's bodies if he continues. All of that together got him to listen to me and seriously consider things." I laugh a little bit at the end because the Hokage is just done with my shit.

After the Hokage sighs once more, "Well you completed both of the... very hard tasks I gave you. In less than a day..." Yup I broke him, poor bastard. "I'll tell Tsunade you won the bet as soon as I confirm with Orochimaru that he has changed and see if he'll talk about anything. " I nod in response, its a good pacing I think, better paced than my ridiculous speed of grinding out quests.

"Well I am going home to go sleep now, let me know tomorrow how everything turns out. Oh and tell Tsunade I'll talk to her about the date details after we meet with you tomorrow. Should you confirm Orochimaru's change of course. Peace." I flash back to my house and see that everything is put right where I want it.

I decide to pull Arthur out of my dimension where time was apparently passing extremely slowly apparently. While he explores the house I bought I took out his litter box and food I had bought for him before I left earth, who would've known it would come in handy?

After seeing him dart around for a few moments I crawl into my bed that they kindly made for me and pass out.
