Making progress

It's now been a month, and well... I still haven't done that challenge yet. It's still been too long since I've really gone and tested my skills, so I don't feel right going to what may very well be my death, and I can't really train my stats, and sweet jesus training my skills is a bitch and a half.

So what I've been focusing on is everyone else, making equipment, and making money! That's right. The system never said that I couldn't have people helping me! If I consolidate the teams to all move forward with this goal then we can definitely spearhead our way forward and then I can defeat the Arachne! I have no doubts in my mind that it'll be tough going, but we have made significant progress. Well I guess I should say they have in this case huh?

Well let's start with money since it makes the world go round. I never knew this, but apparently Tsunade is even more talented than I thought when it came to handling the funds. I mean I believed in her, but she has made trading agreements with Orario already for Explosive tags. The reason being is that even strong monsters like the Minotaur are affected by them, as evidenced by my brief scuffle with them. Plus the weaker monsters like the spiders our groups fight die in one hit with them, and in Orario many monsters that trouble the early adventurers would be easily dealt with.

She is even selling them at such a price that by selling 1 of them, we can buy 1,000 back in Naruto's world! It's some impressive shit honestly, but then again they haven't really seen something that can cause an explosion that can be used by someone that isn't a mage before. Oh yeah, we also learned how to make most of the available alchemy formula over here using the profit we've made and then sold the concoctions over in the Naruto world. Not only that but we bought a large amount of the basic herbs for this and starting planting them with the Dragons that can take human form being the caretakers for them (they enjoy living like humans and called us interesting weirdly enough).

Let's see, oh yes! We have raised the standard of living immensely and the people that previously had a stranglehold on the food can't compete with our prices (or quality/quantity we sell the food for that matter) so many started taking hostile actions on us, but well... when your company is mostly based from a world where ninja's reign supreme and you have access to many people who can use genjutsu on top of that don't expect to keep your clothes and not cry afterwards. Fun times!

I think that was it regarding the financial situation, other than we are looking into starting other businesses in other countries and Orario as well via the flying thunder god technique to transport services. I had to visit Orario actually for the meeting of forming ties and holy shit some of those gods were very overbearing and demanding (plus loki looks like a guy, ha!) with several of the craftier ones trying to go and form exclusive deals with me, a couple trying to seduce me whether it be via their bodies or magic (even had a god, note not goddess, try to seduce me thinking I rolled that way.), and then there were some who tried to threaten me. I actually laughed when one said he'd go and smite me.

I looked at him and said do it, now he thought I was going and calling his bluff, I was being serious, if I can find an easy way to raise holy resistance or whatever resistance for the thing he'd nail me with then why not! However I guess it was a bluff and he ended up being quite embarrassed. Some gods were actually quite happy to have a new influx of various materials, though they tried to find where it came from. I kept my sources secret though and just said there wasn't much at the moment so I could create a scarcity.

The point of me saying that is Orario is basically in the middle of the continent, so if I can have a solid business there I can eventually spread out from there too!

So onto the other Departments, we actually earned enough money to get hold of several high tiered metals, mithril being the most notable among them. We had enough also to hire someone from a notable familia to teach our team how to work the metals well. Now, we have our team actually making money instead of losing it, though that's a more recent development that happened about a week or so ago. In fact tomorrow our first batch of shipments are going to be sent to the Naruto world so that people can buy them over there! Granted there's not much use for them nowadays, but I know the leaf and other hidden villages will want to be better safe than sorry when it comes to that kind of stuff.

The alchemists that we have working have started experimenting with various things that come from the Naruto world now, making it so that Orochimaru isn't the only one, in fact he now improved the Elixir made of my blood to the point that it can actually be taken several more times, at least that's how the mice reacted until the 20th time, where previously it wasn't even out of the single digits. So woohoo! Medical science progresses again!

Ezio has made a lot of different kinds of explosives as well, I mean I know you could make a lot in the game, but wow he knows so much more than that. Like apparently he knew how to make mustard gas back then. Why they never used it, well I would assume because it's a legitimate war crime, but hey it's not here!

Don't look at me like that, I'll only let my company/group use it and they'll use it against monsters so it's humane! Humane meaning it's good for humans... the monsters, well I've yet to know if they are mindless or not but I mean whatever happens happens am I right?

I don't think there is really anything else, I'm trying to keep all the technology from our world hidden from the rest of this world, at least for now. Once we have a good amount of strength and a position of power then I'll slowly start integrating technology and advancements, first and foremost education.

Actually I'm wondering what kinds of things we can make from the monsters in the dungeons. I know that monsters have different 'Drops' that we can harvest, like the crystals in them. Oh yeah before I forget in the topic of the crystals we harvest, we have taken to using a majority of them to experiment on different forms of technology since they have a form of energy within. So far according to some of the tests we had back in the leaf village it is a bit more efficient than solar energy and not quite as strong as fusion is. Though it is still impressive due to the fact that this is just from the absolute weakest of spiders! Imagine creatures that are much more powerful, and then you add in the fact that the rest of their body may have a use beyond that too? My god I can almost see the profit before my eyes.

Where was I? Oh yes, we've recently started recruiting for a research division in our compound, and surprisingly Athena wanted to be in charge of it, I don't know if it was because of all the Sci-fi books that she read or what, but so far in the week that it has been up she and the 2 people we have found so far had made a relatively light armor out of the spider carapace that was actually able to take 1 arrow shot. This may not be that impressive, but think about for the new people that are going into the dungeon for the first time. This dungeon apparently got the name the meat grinder because in the beginning every single new person to dungeon crawling was just utterly destroyed. Now if that's not ominous of a name then go and get a dictionary.

Yeah, it's a pretty terrifying dungeon.

But well, where there's danger there is profit to be made, and well... seeing as how the most profitable business that I'm seeing is blacksmithing due to the dungeon then that leaves all these other businesses that are being neglected, which is exactly why the explosive tags are so popular, nobody had seen something so useful before and already I've heard from Tsunade that there adventurers that after buying a couple have come back and bought so many more because they are cheap (that's right we can not only sell them for cheap, but for cheap at a price that still earns us a profit of a thousand fold) and saved their lives. It put a smile to my face because in the midst of improving the livelihood of everyone on this planet (or worlds? I'll need to investigate once the Leaf gets a rocket working and we chart out the Naruto worlds system, also at that point do we call it a universe or maybe just galaxy. What would we call it!?).

Man there is so much for me to get done, and so little time to do it... I'm kidding in all reality I'm immortal apparently right now, but really though I would rather move quickly than move slow, which is why in a week I am going to go down to fight Arachne with everyone else clearing the way. I hope I'm ready, but I know that if all else fails I can regenerate from most wounds and steal powers so that the fight becomes me basically just looking at her menacingly and her just dropping dead.

(A/N: Hey guys, it's been awhile I know. I've been going through crap, my classes have been rough, and etc etc, no excuse etc etc. Well bad news and good news time!

Bad news first: I am not back. I just felt I should put this out to make this an official Hiatus, but to prove to all of you I have not given up on this story I wanted to make it into a chapter instead of one of those 'Not a chapter' deals. Goes down much smoother doesn't it? I mean I know when I read a story if an author were to do this I would be much happier and know he would actually come back.

Now for my reason of why this is on Hiatus, aside from school and stress and what not, I gotta say I'm overall just disappointed by some of the readers I've gotten. Now this isn't to say there aren't many of you that are amazing, there are so many of you that are so supportive of me and some of you that actually give me good feedback and criticism on my story! I love that criticism, honestly I truly do! However for those of you that go and put tags like Plagiarism on my story I have nothing but disdain for you. This is a fanfiction yes, so there are obviously going to be characters I borrow from other franchises, if I didn't borrow them then this story would be fictional and not a fan fiction, the other tags aside I just overall hate people that go and just insult me, or a chapter, or really anything without valid or supportive reasoning and offer nothing constructive.

So those people were, not going to even sugar coat it a little bit, a large part of why I haven't updated this story in so long, and I dreaded coming back and typing this chapter because not only did I not want to face them and their comments, but I also didn't want to face everyone that cared about the story. I remember when I actually got into the top 100 one time, and I would check my story every so often and see that someone was still voting for my story once or twice a week(which helped give me motivation to write this honestly). But that wasn't the biggest reason...

I'm spent. I don't know if I told anyone this, or if I mentioned this, but I have been writing this story up as I go and think of it. Meaning there hasn't really been any overarching plot, or any secret little details, just a straightforward and what I aimed to make, a fun little slice of life that would occasionally have some really cool moments for fights, or terrifying moments, or really whatever moments. This however I feel limited me too much, and this was a large complaint that people had with me not thinking the story through, and I tried to think of too much and tried to promise too much until the point it made my head hurt a bit. That was when I knew I had to take a step back and is when I tried editing my story, but the damage was done and I was still spent making editing even harder to get through.

So for all this I'm sorry, I'm slowly getting better, I'm working on making a backbone for the plot, what he'll do next, when he'll do it, and some different enemies and their stats already thought of.

I'm actually also working on making a completely new world(/galaxy/universe) for a new story. So far I haven't even really completed a single one of the 5 planets, but I am excited for it. The main premise for the background of it would be each fantasy race (elves, humans, dwarves, beastkin, and a secret one I'm making up) evolved differently on each of these 5 planets due to natural selection and what not. I'm even going so far as creating each planets history for ancient civilizations and monsters, up to the present times and the most important discoveries.

However this isn't the good news as that is still months away from having a first chapter. The good news is this! I was requested to write a story by one of my readers! You've probably seen him here named cliffkunlolrekt, but I know him on discord as trolltyrant. The story was originally supposed to be a smash fan fiction (harems and what not involved) but when he mentioned being trained by guts I was inspired.

What if... it was like a tournament thing, but also what if it had that as just a side feature? What if it featured a hub world like from wreck-it-ralph, had some stats inspired by the city of terror, and had a mission system that is like The Devil's cage and Galactic fist of legend? That was how my thought process went and I am excited for this fresh new story! I really am! I already have an overall idea planned for what to do, I'm designing the hubworld as I type this (in my head, I will put it to paper later. Maybe make it in a map maker as well depending on how it's received.).
