Chapter 5 : Revealing the secret

I walked towards grandpa.He asked Rahul to leave us alone.Before leaving Rahul sat on his kneels before grandpa and said "grandpa,you promised me...I love her so mush..please don't taker her away from me..."

He left from there without even looking at me.I don't know why but my eyes are filled with water.Grandpa came to me.Tears from my eyes fell on him.My grandpa asked "Why are you crying my child?Please don't cry.Do you love him?"

I nodded my head saying yes."Its ok.He is a nice person Hazel.Why are you crying".Grandpa asked with a smile.

"Grandpa,we are travelling with time.He even doesn't know about this.How is this possible.I don't want to leave him.But we have only 6 days left with us...I want him....." my voice is shivering..my tears are flowing continuously...

"oh dear Hazel!! Is this the only reason.Its ok my child.We will take him along with us.I will surely talk to him about this." grandpa said."But grandpa is it possible to take him along with us? "I asked him with a hope." Of course ...we can take him.you don't worry about it.I will talk to him about this latter.Lets have some lunch now."

I am very happy with my grandpas words.I hope that we would take him along with us.We ate our lunch.Grandpa occupied on his bed to take a nap.I was sitting in the garden.Reena,Mona and sam are playing in varenda.Rahul came and sat beside me.I just smiled looking at him."Hope you find the solution"he asked me looking at the smile on my face."How do you know?"I asked him in a low voice.He hold my hand and said"You may not speak but your eves are so expressive.I can understand everything looking into them.Now from your eyes I can say that you are happy.....and you want someone to kiss you.."he said this with a naughty smile on his face.He is playing with me.I just pushed him with my hands and started to walk towards varenda.He hold my hand and said"Please don't leave me....."I can feel some pain in his voice.I sat beside him again.I thought that he is missing his family.I will never understand his pain because I was never been alone.I am a girl with

mom,dad,aunt,uncle, cousins and grandparents..... but he is completely different.Rahul said"Can I sleep on your lap?"he asked me with a questioning expression.

I said yes by shaking my head.He slept on my lap.He said that he is missing his mother a lot.She used to make him sleep in her lap ever night.I can see his eyes filled with water.To console him I placed my hand on his shoulder.He closed his eyes.He fell asleep on my lap.I was looking into his face.I ran my fingers through his hair comforting him.He was so good looking with thick eyebrows and black hair.I went close to look into him.He suddenly opened his eyes and I felt embarrassed.

He smiled and said"I can close my eyes if you want.....you can continue to see me."I really felt so embarrassed. He got up and hold my face in his hands.I closed my eyes expecting him to kiss.He came closer and said"shall we continue this after marriage..?"He made me feel embarrassed in peaks.

I pushed him aside and ran into the veranda.He made me fell very embarrassed and shy.

The sun started to set.The lights were on.My grandpa called Rahul and revealed him everything about the time travel.Then he understood why we were shocked to see mobile and laptop.My grandpa finally said "if you want to marry Hazel then you have to travel with us into the past."

Rahul accepted and said"I can do anything for Hazel".My face lit up with a smile for his words.

We had our dinner and slept.

Next morning there was a huge smoke with dirty smell.The smoke is black,I can't see anything in the room.My eyes were burning."What is this...I cant see anything."We ran out of the house.I thought the house was set on fire.Then I remembered that this is a concrete house and not kaccha house.Grandpa asked what was happening.Rahul replied that the dump yard before our home is being burned.This is very common hear.

We were feeling suffocating there.My grandpa asked Rahul to take him near the lake.Sam and I packed some food and started towards the lake.

My grandpa was shocked to see the lake and said "I cannot believe my eyes. This was the lake with pure water and fish.We used to drink this water without filtration.It was crystal clear then( in 1990)."

Now in 2020 the water is muddy and filled with plastic covers and waste.There were no fishes in the water.The water is having a kind of foul smell."What happened to this river??"my grandpa asked with a angry tone.

Rahul said "A new industry of textiles is releasing its pollutants into the river.Plastic,chemicals and other toxic materials. All the fishes and crabs died.Many animals like bears and wolfs died by drinking this water.

We all sat there on a rock.I unpacked and gave food to everyone.We are having our food and suddenly fine ash started falling from the air.We covered our food.My grandpa asked with a hesitating voise " now what is this....???"Rahul replied "Grandpa,this is ash released from the factory near by.This is the reason for my mothers astama.This contains micro particles which effect respiratory system.Come lets go home now.If we stay hear for a longer time they will cause allergy."

We started to home immediately.
