Chapter 48: Training And Mischief

[Duke's manor]

As nightfalls drops upon the land, everyone has already gone to sleep and rest for the day preparing for the next day except one particular person

That person was the Duke's daughter, she is currently covering herself under her sheath of cover while also scurrying the recorded anime in the crystal

Apparently after days of days of watching anime, she somehow have gotten addicted to it to the point that she sacrifices her sleeping hours

This time however avoiding the normal anime that she was watching all the time, she decided to use this chance to watch another anime

Out of all of them only one anime cover that she somehow got her attention, at this she swipes to pass random anime as she focused herself to watch this

By using the cover of the night to watch anime was quite normal in regular world's as it's often happen to regular people who got excited so much that he or she doesn't want to sleep

As this was happening it was also not approvable for Shun for mainly some reasons, one of them was that staying overnight somehow stresses you mind causing you to daze off during the day

And the other thing is that if a person continues to act this way, then eventually his/her mind wouldn't be able to cope up with it and eventually die in the process

As she continues to search, she somehow manage to find the anime cover that caught her attention, in the cover was plastered a girl with black hair and red eyes with a skin so white that it seems that she was a doll for a second, her trait was wearing a kimono at times while black school uniform at most of it

It's signiture appearance was that she likes to wear clothes that are paired with black and red, followingly the girl was also holding a straw doll which is quite normal I'm this world which lacks entertainment, but her straw doll however was so black that the red string along its head can be focused when this is viewed

After taking a closer look the whole cover was almost black, after giving it some thought Sephiria finally steeled her self in watching this so without further ado she started the show

Followingly the first episode focused on a girl named Enma and some people who waited the dead of night just like her in their own devices that is a fat as a square boxes, at first she thought that this was a story about people like them who stayed up during the night just like her

Little did she know that the moment the time struck twelve, the people in the show adruptly searched for a certain website and started to enter names and answer questions on an unknown tab that was apparent on the screen

As they finished those questions the show finally portrayed the main character called Enma as she suddenly appear out of nowhere with phrases she never heard before, followingly she called out a spirit with her and transformed it into a doll

The moment Sephiria saw the transformation, she was enlightened to know that it was also some kind of magic anime, until for some reason the human that the mc was talking, somehow look crazed as sweats beads all over its face as they pulled the string which made the doll disappear leaving the string tied up on their fingers and a mark appearing on their body

What caught her the most was the catchphrase the mc was saying as she disappeared

After that the followed scene suddenly portrayed infront of her that made her somewhat regretful for choosing to watch the anime, the scenes were so dreadful that it can only be seen in nightmares especially how the character protested themselves

Sometimes she felt that the dead was looking at her over the screen that made her so terrified and frozen on her own place, as she continues on Sephiria eventually turned limp as she somehow peed herself from so much horror she witnessed

As the episode one ended which depicted the candles, the ones attractive voice of the mc seemed have to scared her so much that she deemed it as a voice from a demon herself

As soon as the candles suddenly blew out and a whisper vibrates across the dark room, she herself felt chills all over her body as she quickly ran out of the room and started to enter another in hopes that she won't be alone for the night

Next day Shun however woke up early in the morning and felt refreshed for some reason, as he looks out of the window he somehow felt like the pain in his arm was already healed

Without further ado he stretched his arms so wide to show that they were already recovered, after that he decided to go.out of bed until suddenly he felt another body lying down beneath his the thick cover of the bed

Filled with curiosity, he pulled the sheath upwards to see Sephiria somewhat looking haggard as she she woke up and finally calmed that it was daytime already

Deducting from her appearance Shun was so surprised to see her in his bed that he fell down unto the floor and started to make sure that the Duke never saw this, after all rumors could fly for the reason that the Duke's daughter boldly climb up unto the bed of another man, with that in thought bad rumors may really fly especially among the servants

"What the heck man!!! You scared me! Why are you here?"

"Huh? Day time? I... . . I made it!!!" Said Sephiria with full of joy and a bag of haggard eyes that depicted that she lacks sleep

Hearing that he clawed her head into a grip that made her jumped out off his bed and patted his hand to stop

"Oi! What are you doing in my bed? Don't you know that your already a woman at a proper age? Your body can already accommodate another life and yet you still boldly climbed someone else bed!!!... . . Aren't you afraid of rumors?" Growled Shun

"Ow! Ow! Ow! Ow! Please release me! It's my fault! My fault! Please release me!" Begged Sephiria

"Release you? Your still on your sleep wear damn it! If someone saw you right now, they might misunderstood that I assaulted you!!! Fix yourself up especially your shoulder wear which if falling off and showing your bare skin!!!" Growled Shun

"Right! I'm sorry! It's my fault I'll handle all of it!" She apologized

After that Shun stood in front of her and finally asked for answers

After learning that she watched hell girl during the dead of night, she somehow got traumatized from it and now has PTSD for time that struck twelve at the midnight

"You know... . . You... . . Your a lost cause"

"What do you mean by that?" Reacted Sephiria

"I means a lot of things that only I can understand" replied Shun

As they continued their conversation with the appearance their in, Sephiria's mother suddenly went inside her room in an unexpected manner as if she was celebrating something

"Excuse me Mister Shun! I would like to inquire how my daughter was finally able to... . . "

Just as she opened the door of Shun's room, she suddenly stopped on her tracks as she saw her daughter sitting on his bed looking haggard and messy, while Shun himself was standing before her own daughter

"....."

"....."

"....."

"Ah sorry! Looks like I disturb something that I wasn't supposed to disturb... . . Please continue what you guys are doing, but please let me remind you... . . Use a contraception if you can" she said as she slowly closes the door while her eyes stagger elsewhere

Upon hearing her words and misunderstanding Shun immediately bolted out of the room to explain while Sephiria helps him by shouting out that it was a misunderstanding on her part while blushing in beat red

Soon they managed to calm down lady Cecile as they explained the current situation to her

"And that's what happened" said Shun

"I see... . . So basically my daughter was traumatized because of this, namely it wasn't your fault Mister Shun" replied Cecile

"Please! It would help if you just call me in other names instead of mister since I'm not married" insisted Shun

"I understood"

After that she turned to her daughter who looked nervous for some reason

"So what do you want to say on your part?" She asked

"I'm sorry! It's all my fault! Purely all of it" apologized Sephiria

And with that the misunderstanding finally got cleared

After that talk, they basically returned to their daily routine while carefully covering up Sephiria's tired eyebags using powder make-up

Glancing at this portable make-up that was similar to his previous world, Shun somehow deducted that some otherworlder seemed to started changing the custom elsewhere in the world

After everything was done they got back en route and started to continue their training

As Shun supervise Sephiria's constant control over a sphere of magic infront of her for the longest duration she can, he deliberately circled around her as he talked to relieve their boredom while waiting for the results

"You must maintain that as much as possible! Don't let it burnout"

"Easy for you to say" complained Sephiria who was already sweating crazily

"Don't complain! Stability of Mana is a must, if you managed to maintain this kind of form in about two hours then you pass the first phase of Mana control" stated Shun

"Two hours?!? Your crazy! I can't keep that up!" Shouted Sephiria

"If there's a will, there's a way!" Countered Shun

"And who came up with that phrase?" Asked Sephiria angrily

"I don't know! I forgot!" Replied Shun

With that Shun circles her for a bit before he noticed the sphere wavering from the unstable Mana control, not long after it exploded

Luckily Shun was prepared this time as he already taken his distance the moment he noticed the sphere wavering

As it exploded Sephiria was blown away by the blast force, luckily Shun was able to predict her landing spot and caught her as he took ahold of her shoulders

After that he suddenly took something out of the storage and revealed a blue vial and chugged it unto Sephiria's mouth

After drinking the vial he threw the bottle away, while also seeing Sephiria regaining her strength, with that in mind he let's go of her body since she can support herself again after recuperating her Mana pool back to when she started

"Your focus needs more focus!" Advised Shun

"!!!"

"In a battle endurance is a must especially when your opponent enter a battle of attrition against you, as you know a mage that has depleted his/her Mana pool is as good as dead... . . With that you need to be careful of opponent's who uses their brains" he added

"I know! Knowledge is strength too right?" Asked Sephiria

"Exactly! So let's start up again and make you formed that Mana sphere, this time however I want you to maintain it for two hours... . . "

With that serves as a signal, Sephiria immediately went into action as she focused on one spot eventually creating a Mana sphere

At that time the book in Shun's inner pocket shined as Yuumi came out from it

"Ah! Fresh air! I'm back!" Said Yuumi

"Oh! I nearly forgot you ever existed" said Shun blankly

"What's with that attitude?"

"It's the attitude that tells you that it took you too long just to recover!!!" Complained Shun

"Patience Shun! You need more patience!" Advised Yuumi as she tried to replicate how Shun advised Sephiria

This in turn made Sephiria laugh so hard that she losses control on the sphere causing it to explode

After that Yuumi got up again as she said

"Well that blown up my mind"

This time Shun managed to catch her as he sent down a knuckle punch straight to her head

"It's not funny!!!"

"For you! But for her... . . It is funny" insisted Yuumi as she pointed at Sephiria who somehow tried to hold her laugh

"Aye! Girls are really troublesome... . . "

"And Boys are really adorable when they try to be funny just to impress someone" pointed out Yuumi

"Just... . . Cut it off already!!!"
