Surprised that Sephiria manage to analyze his magic and actually replicate it in a few seconds of fighting each other. This kind of potential is nothing much less but a talent, a talent to copy other magic. Simply put Sephiria is like an unrefined gem, a gemstone in the mud.

However it seems like the person herself isn't aware of such talent.

Truth be told his speed magic isn't that actually complicated, in fact it's analog is quite easy to study and with an unrefined talent from Sephiria, it is only natural that she would be able to analyze it during combat.

What's more he also learned a little bit about Sephiria's background. Aside from being the daughter of a Duke, she apparently had an illness even before Shun ever comes in her life and that is Mana Overload syndrome. For people of this era none of them know so much about such symptom making Sephiria unable to fully utilize her hidden talent.

But for people about a thousand years back into the past, such symptom is quite rare but nevertheless an indication that the person themselves have great potential. In the far past, the mana overload syndrome is looked at a brighter side, since this means that the person himself is loved by mana. With that indication the person themself is destined to be a great person with powers rivaling the whole army of a kingdom.

Now such syndrome can be found on Sephiria's history, making her destined for something greater.

Alongside it Lorius look up to such people like an idol in the past, after all he was one of the unfortunate who don't have such phenomenon happening to them. As a person with a background coming from the slums, him achieving to attain such power and high reputation was all due to his hardwork and him rejecting his fate.

Due to his original personality to bring change, he is now regarded as one of the strongest mages in history, much more seemingly also in this era.

"A person loved by mana... haha... how envious"

After getting hit by Sephiria's punch and got blown away, Sephiria herself then begun to channel mana towards her as she begun to use the ancient spell which even made her stand a chance against the terrorist of another kingdom.

"Throne of the Ice Empress!!!"

In that instant a huge surge of ice suddenly assaulted Lorius, causing him to suddenly channel defensive magic one after another, as the ice itself kept breaking through his numerous defenses.

Soon after noticing that defending from Sephiria's magic is impossible, he quickly used his instant teleportation spell in order to put a distance between her and himself. However the moment he did that, Sephiria quickly formed a sword made put of toughened ice and used the spell she had copied from Lorius.

"Accel!!!"

In one dash Sephiria arrived before Lorius, as she swung down her sword forcing the latter to quickly put up a barrier around him.

"Absolute Defense!!!"

After defending from that attack which caused him to bounce off the wall and crash down to the ground, Lorius then quickly channeled mana unto his right hand and threw his next spell towards Sephiria.

"Earthen Assault!!!"

Under his spell numerous earthen spikes got launched towards her from the ground, causing sephiria to use her own defensive magic to defend herself from Lorius attack before enacting her own counter.

"Frost Guard!!! Ice chasers - 20 bits!!!"

Blocking the attack using her first spell and using high damage micro spell to Assault Lorius, the latter himself has no choice but to use accel once more to avoid the attacks and somewhat get a good angle to attack Sephiria. Unfortunately while he was in this state, Sephiria's Assault were non-stop as she used accel to get close towards Lorius and attack him once more.

However this time Lorius was prepared as he quickly slid down to dodge the initial surprise attack from Sephiria, before he got up and used a defensive magic on his arms to block Sephiria's follow up cross slash.

"Mana Gauntlet"

Enveloping his arms with a gauntlet made out of mana to serve as an armor of sort, Lorius then quickly caught Sephiria's incoming slash, as he directed its force down to the ground, before taking a huge spin and attack her with an elbow strike. Unfortunately Sephiria saw through this as she quickly casted a wall between them before sneaking in an attack spell.

"Ice Wall!!! Frost Spike!!!"

Unfortunately Lorius sensed this quick counter awhile back as he used his blink spell to teleport behind Sephiria, before gathering mana unto his left hand and launching his spell at a point blank range.

"Giga Blaze!!!"

"Frost Guard!!!"

Surprisingly Sephiria's expected this after learning how Lorius fight and manage to defend herself using a spell just in time to save her skin.

Upon seeing this quick save, Lorius couldn't help but smile widely, as he loudly praised Sephiria while launching multiple spells towards her.

"Excellent!!! Sephiria Maelstrom, you had clearly outdone yourself, you manage to exceed my expectations and prove me wrong again and again, with that you are worthy to see the technique I had cultivated in preparation for Shun and Akito... in order to avoid the repeat of my defeat, I had prepared this techniques"

After he said those words, Lorius then suddenly stopped his magic assault as he begun circling his mana inside his heart, mind, and inner stomach, in order to bring out a new technique with the combination of magic and the other form of energy, Qi.

At first Sephiria was confused on why Lorius suddenly changed the way he fights which disrupted her pattern of him, but the next moment before she could even realize it, Lorius suddenly used blink to suddenly appear before her as his three mana circles inside his body simultaneously turned like a wheel which proc the activation of his inner Qi.

"(Martial Skill) One Inch!!!"

In one punch, Sephiria was blown across the room by the sudden force of the attack, as she crashed unto the wall causing its initial layer to get destroyed and reveal the earthen wall layer behind her.

Upon feeling the sudden pain on her stomach in which she can't describe, Sephiria then coughed out a mouthful of blood from having her innards taking damage and realizing one specific thing that may lead to her disadvantage by surprise.

"Thats... that's not magic"
