4. Time to glow up

The next morning arrived so fast.

George had left the villa for his house the previous evening after eating with unconscious Anna. As he was having an early meeting, George left the villa to get a good sleep before his meeting.

Hence, Anna woke up alone with no one around her. She wasn't familiar with most of the individuals in the house. Anna also remembered the appointment she was having with the doctor soon.

Anna then checked around her for a wall clock but there was none in the room so she couldn't tell what the time was. Anna placed her hand on her numb legs and began to think about her life.

Anna felt weak. She didn't even know if she was functioning properly. She felt easily tired after sitting for a short period and she also always felt the urge to sleep.

Hunger and thirst, she couldn't feel anyone. Anna did not even understand how her body was feeling and she also hated the fact that she couldn't make use of her legs.

Anna looked around her arms and legs by lifting the bedsheets and discovered that her body was pure white. It appeared as though the host of the body never had a scar.

Anna had scars in her previous life because of her career. However, when it was time she shoot for a scene, the make-up artist covered it up.

Recalling her past life experience, Anna's lips stretched into a smile. "I died painfully," she lifted her head, still reminiscing. "But I'm happy," Anna added.

"I need to know how to walk before starting my training," Anna uttered suddenly after a very long silence. "I need to make him pay twofold for what he did to me. I mean the owner of this body," Anna's jaws tightened as she stared into space with utter anger towards her ex-boyfriend and stepsister.

When Anna's head began to throb, she stopped staring and closed her eyes tight, trying to regain her normal state. She hated the pain consuming her head.

"Madam."

A calm smooth seraphic voice touched Anna's ears as she closed her eyes. Even when Anna was trying to get herself back, she failed because her painful death kept on reminiscing in her mind.

Anna ended up squeezing her face and breathing heavily.

This was unlike her. She was brave and ready to try new things in her past life but now, it seems like the original host of Anna's body appeared to have a big effect on her, physically, emotionally and mentally.

Does that mean that she would have to start training from square one?

These thoughts only made Anna sick so she decided to open her eyes, calm her soul and answer the lady she already sensed was standing by her side.

Anna had gone through multiple training sessions trying to be a stuntman. She wanted to be an expert like her father so she submitted so much effort into it. Thus, her skills were stuck with her for eternity no matter where she was.

Fortunately, she succeeded in her goal and became a proud stuntman. Life was perfect with her family by her side even though her father was gone.

Anna knew how much her family must be mourning her death but the more prayer she received, the more strength she acquired in her new life.

Anna was persistent and had already set her mind. She needed to find justice. Anna could only get that when she was able to defend herself and fight.

"Good morning, Madam," the young maid's voice sounded again and after placing a big tray on the table beside Anna's bed, the maid went around to open the curtains so light would penetrate.

Anna sniffled in as if the light was air but only she knew what she felt after seeing the sunshine.

"Master George urged me to treat you fine and help you fix your appearance before the doctor arrives so Madam, let's work together. I believe we can do that, right?" The maid, who had her hair tied tightly into a bun explained. Her eyes were gleaming, causing Anna to smile but Anna's smile was so small that it could only be felt by her and not seen.

"I guess we can do that. What's your name?" Anna asked.

"My name is Wei Yan, Madam," answered the maid. "I am happy to work with you. Now Madam, please don't find this offensive but I'll have to piggyback you," Yan uttered.

Anna did find it offensive but she understood Yan's reason and gave Yan a go-ahead to carry her.

It was a hassle, especially for Yan. Wei Yan found it so difficult to find the right place to carry her Madam.

However, after several attempts, Anna advised Yan to lie on the bed with her and make sure she rested on her side. With this position, Yan was able to place Madam's legs on her waist.

Momentarily, Yan pushed herself out of the bed gently and slowly.

Eventually, after failing countless times, Yan carried her Madam on her back. "Thank you, Madam, for your support," said Yan.

"So I'll cut your hair now," Yan announced before walking through the door by the side of the room. Yan supported Anna by carrying her numb legs while Anna wrapped Yan's neck with her arms.

After exploring the bathroom for a while with her eyes, Yan placed Madam on a chair right across a mirror.

"I knew you love your hair short so when taking care of you, Madam, I cut your hair. So that when you wake up, you'll be happy."

Anna nodded her head thoughtfully. "Thank you so much, Wei Yan!" She uttered and watched as Yan rushed in and out of the room.

Wei Yan said a few words before turning Madam to face the mirror. "Do you like bangs, Madam?"

"I do like it but I don't want bangs. I want to see how talented you are," answered Anna.

Wei Yan continued to bring different topics up while Madam followed by replying to questions she didn't find challenging to answer.

Wei Yan washed Madam's hair thoroughly and treated it with shampoo and other hair products.

Anna then announced that she wanted her hair to be brown and wavy.

"Sure, Madam, I can do that!!" Wei Yan replied positively, surprising Anna.

Anna didn't know a maid could be this talented in dressing hair. Perhaps it was Wei Yan's passion just as the stunt was to Anna

After trimming Anna's hair, Wei Yan moved to tie her hair before preparing her for washing and massaging.

With Anna being unaware of the last time she washed up and glowed, she let Wei Yan treat her according to how good she was.

However, would Anna be satisfied by Wei Yan's effort after she glowed up?
