Chapter 38: Vampires and Werewolves (Meeting with Parents)

Lu Xie and An Yu arrived at their destination after half a day of traveling.
Lu Xie opened the door then stepped out to reach out her hand to her fiance and helped her down the carriage. She also took the railings off her horse and then let them go.
"Go meet your family night" Lu Xie patted its back
Night, sounded happy then ran toward the stables. Lu Xie held her fiancee's hand.
"Let's go"
"Uhm let's go" An Yu held her hand tightened
Lu Xie then led her to the house, the house was like a mansion but bigger and more like a castle. The place was surrounded by healing flowers, these flowers were very rare and only grew in this place.
They walked then she opened the door, only to see her parents... Fighting.
It's most unlikely since they can't bear to be angry at each other.
Lu Xie saw her mom didn't pay attention to her mother while sitting on the chair with a book but the book was upside down.
She shook her head helplessly it seems her mom was jealous again.
"Love, are you mad," a stunning woman said softly her tone was a little wrong
"No, I'm not" the woman sitting answered decisively
The stunning woman pouted then saw the book upside down her face had a smirk then leaned on the chair with both hands under her chin.
"You know, when I came in I smelled a strong scent of vinegar in the air. Are you jealous" she teases
"Huh! Why would I be jealous" the woman said with her face flushed in red
"Love, you know that you're the only woman I love now and forever" she leaned closer
But the woman sitting stood up and was about to leave but the stunning woman caught her hand then pulled her in her embrace then kissed her.
Lu Xie had a deadpan look on her face, she can't believe that she is being thrown dog food by her parents. While An Yu was giggling lightly at their actions, she thought they were fighting earlier but it seems that it was just jealousy.
"Ahem" Lu Xie fake cough
Making the two women stop kissing and then look at the source of the sound.
"Mom mother I'm back" Lu Xie smiled
Her mom immediately pushed her mother and then ran to her.
"My baby" her mom hugged her tightly
"M...Mom...c..can't....be...breath" Lu Xie patted her moms back
"Oh my I'm sorry baby" her mom loosened her hugged then pulled out
"My and who is this beautiful lady with you" her mom looked at An Yu up and down then nodded her head
"Mom mother this is An Yu my fiance" Lu Xie held her waist
"A human not bad" her mother appeared behind her mom
"Come let's go take a seat," her mom said excitedly
The four made their way to the living room and both seated on the sofa and talked a lot
"So you were on your way home and you suddenly got transported," Lu's mom said
An Yu nodded politely
"Well not to worry in just a year and 10 months you will return" Lu's mother put her hand under her chin
"C---Can I just stay here with Lu Xie," An Yu said nervously
Lu's mom burst out laughing.
"Of course, you can but you need to tell anyone from your family that you will get married to our daughter" lu mother said softly
An Yu looked down as she didn't tell her fiance that she was an orphan her mom left her when she was only in her first year of high school.
Lu Xie noticed her and knew.
"What's wrong baby?" she asked softly
"I----'m an orphan, " An Yu said in a low voice
Lu's mom gasped and suddenly she went near her and hugged her.
"Oh you poor child" Lu's mom said softly hugging her then glared at Lu's mother who shrunk in her seat
An Yu felt the warm hug of a mother and finally cried in her arms, Lu Xie held her hand and patted them.
"Baby, don't cry" Lu Xie said a little distressed.
A few minutes later, An Yu calmed down and was shy. Lu's mom smiled at her and patted her head.
"Xiexie your fiance is hungry go and cook us something to eat," Lu's mom said shooing us her daughter to the kitchen
Lu Xie nodded kissed her fiance's forehead then went to the kitchen. "Wait, I'm coming too" Lu's mother also stood up and went to the kitchen.
Leaving only the two bottoms hehehehe.
"An Yu, there is something I want to ask," Lu's mom said seriously
"W--what is it, auntie?" An Yu nervously asked her finger fidget on her lap
"You're not forced by my daughter right?" Lu's mom asked raising her eyebrow
An Yu let go of her hanging heart and answered softly with a smile "Lu Xie never forced me, auntie, she helped me sincerely and took care of me. She was really sweet and would cook for me everyday and she would also take me to beautiful places in the vampire territory"
Lu's mom breathed in relief and smiled she raised her daughter to not be like her mother who was like a rogue and unruly when they first met.
"I'm glad," she said with meaning
"You said you're an orphan were you put in an orphanage," Lu's mom asked a little unsure
"I lived with my mom until I was in my first year of high school but then she left me she got too sick and doctors can't save her leaving me alone," An Yu said a little sad
"Don't worry from now I and my wife will be your parents now since you will be marrying my daughter soon" Ly's mom said lovingly like a mother
An Yu nodded happily with tears in her eyes "Thank you mom" she said a little shy
Lu's mom chuckled and both spoke harmoniously.
**Meanwhile in the kitchen**
Lu Xie put on her apron and her mother also put on an apron like mother like daughters they are under their wives.
"Baby, I heard that a werewolf had been watching you for a while now," Lu's mother said as she washed the vegetables
"I also don't know what he is thinking but he would eventually give up" Lu Xie lied
Lu's mother was out to speak when a shadow guard appeared and kneel in front of them.
"I greet his majesty and her highness," the guard said respectfully
"Shadow guard what is it that you want to report," Lu's mother asked seriously
"Your majesty, a werewolf had snuck into the princess's house," The guard said

"What! How can there be a werewolf who can enter the border without being spotted by the guards" Lu's mother asked seriously her bloodlust leaked out
"Mother calm down" Lu Xie held her mother
Lu's mother took a deep breath in and out.
"What happened after that?" Lu's mother asked
"Your majesty, two vampires notice his presence when he was near the room of the princess he seems to be searching for something. We gave chase but on the way, his scent suddenly disappeared but the guards wounded him. What we find strange was how he hid his scent when we were about to catch him" the guard said
"Did the werewolves perhaps create a scent concealing potion?" Lu's mother said a little surprise
"It's unlikely mother, the werewolf is all old-fashioned and also they don't have enough mana to be able to create something like this. There is only one explanation he might have gotten the potion from the prime minister. I heard that his master was an excellent potion maker and had accomplished a lot in his years. I also heard before he died he was creating an ultimate potion but was stopped since he died" Lu Xie said
"It might be possible" Lu's mother nodded
"For now, observe anything wrong in the werewolf border and increase the guards in the princess mansion and make sure this will not happen again" Lu's mother ordered seriously
"Yes, your majesty" the guard nodded and then left.
"Don't go home for a while and stay here, we'll be preparing for your wedding in a few days" Lu's mother said then cut the vegetables
"Yes, mother" Lu Xie nodded she also doesn't want to face that werewolf now and wanted to spend time with her lover.
The people in the living room didn't know what happened in the kitchen and were engrossed in their conversation. Lu Xie and her mother were both tactically working in the cooking and switching places to make a dish.
The original owner would also cook for her parents when she returned home but it was not as good as it is now. After finishing the last dish, her mother took out the dishes and placed them on the dining table then took out the plates and utensils needed.
"Baby, dinners ready"
"Love, dinners ready"
They both called at the same time and then stared at each other before laughing.
