After that, both Kanna and Sri leave the orphanage towards the north of the city. To get to Cerulean City they will have to take route 1 from Pallet Town and then enter Veridian City, and again travel through route 2 which passes through Veridian forest and reach Pewter City, and then finally travel through routes 3 and 4 to reach Cerulean City.

Just as they saw the signboard saying Route 1 they saw a girl in front of it. Her beauty was equal to Sri's she had blonde hair and blue eyes, she was a girl wearing a green tank top, denim shorts that stopped before her knees, and yellow high-top sneakers.

"Hey Ananya what are you doing here" Kanna greeted her with a smile but the expressions on Sri's face were changing rapidly.

"Kanna I am waiting here for you and I want to travel with you, actually I would have met you at Professor Oak's laboratory but I had to go to my grandmother to show my Bulbasaur" Ananya replied with a smiling face and then looked at Sri with a smug expression and then looked at Pikachu and asked "Kanna is this Pikachu yours"

Anaya was also starting her journey as a Pokemon trainer today only. She lost her parents at a young age and the only relative she has is her grandmother who brought her up while running a restaurant in the town. Her grandmother used to leave her at the orphanage when she was busy and pick her up while going home. that is when she got acquainted with Kanna and Sri.

"Okay, Ananya it is good for us all to travel together. Yes, Ananya Pikachu is my starting Pokemon" Kanna replied with a smile on his face.

"Oh really, Pikachu is so cute" and pats Pikachu.

Sri observing that Pikachu was also going to accept Ananya tried to take Pikachu away from her but Ananya also held Pikachu very Tight. Pikachu on feeling uncomfortable was going to use Thunderbolt.

Kanna on observing immediately pulled Pikachu and ended up receiving the thunderbolt.

They were all chatting with each other while walking through Route 1.

Afternoon, during the lunch break they all found a nice place to sit down and have their lunch. They have traveled more than half of the route 1 in 3 hours. 

Sri and Ananya were heating the lunch, laying the picnic mat, and preparing the Pokemon food.

"Sri, Ananya, I am going to look at the surroundings with Pikachu" Kanna asked Sri and Ananya.

"Okay Kanna but don't forget to come back in 15 minutes" Sri replied to Kanna.

"Okay, Kanna" Ananya also replied to Kanna.

"Thank you both of you, okay Pikachu come let us go" Kanna wants to deepen his bond with Pikachu but ends up receiving a thunderbolt from Pikachu but still drags Pikachu with him.

After walking for 10 minutes he saw a Pidgey which was already injured and wanted to capture it.

"Pikachu use quick attack on the Pidgey " Kanna asks Pikachu to use a thunderbolt on Pidgey but he ends up receiving the thunderbolt from Pikachu.

"Pika Pika " Pikachu laughs and climbs a tree beside it.

"Pikachu do you think that I can't capture that Pidgey without your help" Kanna then looked at Pidgey and observed that it was injured he threw a Pokeball to capture it.

The Pidgey entered the Pokeball but it was still not captured. The Pokeball blinks a red light four times and then captures the Pidgey.

Kanna then registered it in the Pokedex.

"Pikachu did you see how I captured the Pidgey" Kanna asks Pikachu in a tone full of pride.

Kanna was happy that he could capture the Pidgey but he knew that it was only possible because it was already injured.

Kanna then looks at his watch and says to Pikachu and says "Okay Pikachu now come down we have to return to Sri and Ananya otherwise they will be worried about us"

"Pika Pika chu Pikachu" Pikachu disagrees to go back and turns to the other side.

Kanna on seeing that Pikachu turned to the other side climbs the tree and reaches Pikachu. Just as he was about to bring Pikachu down Pikachu used thunderbolt on him.

But what they didn't expect was to awaken a herd of 11 Spearows from their deep sleep and then Kanna hurriedly gets down from the tree while thinking 'shit how could I forget about this event'.

"Pikaaaachuuu Pikaaaachuuu"

Kanna and Pikachu were running towards the place where both Sri and Ananya were present. Pikachu also uses Thunder twice on the herd of Spearows but the thunder attack puts a large strain on Pikachu and also because Pikachu has already used Thunderbolt many times today he gets weak.

Pikachu's Thunder attack knocks out 3 Spearows but it also increases the anger of the remaining 8.

Kanna on seeing that Pikachu is running slow picks him up and runs while carrying him but the 8 Spearows use Peck on Kanna and Kanna gets a small cut on his hand and his stamina is also consumed rapidly.

Kanna then put down Pikachu picked up a wooden stick at a side and tried to attack the Spearows with it and said "Pikachu fastly go to Sri and Ananya while I distract these Spearows" But after looking at Pikachu not moving once again said "Pikachu Go"

At this moment Pikachu takes the greatest decision of his life.
