"Kanna we are sorry but you arrived too late six pokemon were already given out to the six newly starting trainers," Professor Oak said with a worried tone.

Kanna knowing the secret tries to plead with Professor "Professor Oak I am sorry for arriving late I went to visit the graves of my parents"

Professor knowing that Kanna does not have parents gets a little emotional and decides to give the hidden pokemon in the laboratory "Okay kanna, we still have one Pokemon but it is a little dangerous so think twice before choosing it"

The professor then took a Pokeball and released the Pokemon inside it.

"PIKACHU"

A Pikachu manifested before Kanna. Kanna knew how dangerous it was to touch Pikachu but still, he touched it and caressed it but ended up receiving a thunderbolt from Pikachu. Luckily Kanna's endurance was high due to his daily exercising.

Professor Oak is about to call back Pikachu into the Pokeball but Kanna says "Professor my choice is this Pikachu" he turns toward Pikachu and says "I choose you Pikachu"

"Are you sure" Professor Oak was worried about him.

"Yes, Professor" Karna assures him with a warm smile.

The professor gives him a pokedex 10 Pokeballs and some Pokemon food. Just as Kanna was about to leave Professor Oak gave him Pikachu's Pokeball and rubber gloves but Kanna refused them saying "Professor, Pikachu may not like me today but someday he will become my best buddy so I don't want to do something he will not like"

Pikachu was a little startled after hearing what Kanna said but he electrocuted Kanna when Kanna tried to touch him.

"Pika Pikachu"

Pikachu gives a smug expression.

"Okay Kanna at least call back it into its Pokeball" Professor Oak hurriedly says to Kanna.

"Ok, Professor" Kanna knows what will happen when he calls Pikachu into the Pokeball but he still calls it back because this was his first meeting with Pikachu.

As expected Pikachu came out of the Pokeball and Kanna tried to call it back into the Pokeball 5 times but the outcome was the same.

"Pika Pika chu pikachu"

"Pikachu do you not like to be inside the Pokeball" Kanna asks Pikachu with a kind expression.

Pikachu was somewhat touched that Kanna could understand his feelings and nodded his head.

"Pikachu it's okay if you don't want to go back into the Pokeball and even if you use Thunderbolt on me you should never use it on other people. If you can promise me this then I will never call you back into the Pokeball until you say it is okay for you" Kanna says with a kind and gentle expression.

On hearing what Kanna said Pikachu was happy that finally he can always be in the outside world and agrees to what he said.

"Pika Pika" Pikachu says while nodding his head.

"Okay Kanna you can now start your adventure and if you have any doubts while traveling don't forget to call me," Professor Oak says to Kanna.

"Okay professor "

kanna walks outside of the laboratory to meet up with Sri.

While walking with Pikachu in his hands kanna was thinking while looking at Pikachu 'I am really very lucky to have transmigrated into the Palet town and now Pikachu is my first Pokemon' but he ends up receiving a thunderbolt from Pikachu.

When Kanna gets out Sri comes near him and asks "Kanna is Pikachu your starter Pokemon I thought only Charmander, Bulbasaur, and Squirtle could be chosen as starter Pokemon"

"Yeah Pikachu is my starter Pokemon but it is a long story I will explain to you while going back to the orphanage. What about you, how is your Squirtle " Kanna asked Sri while looking at the Squirtle beside her.

"Oh, my Squirtle is amazing" Sri replied with a smile that could attract a whole region.

"Squirtle Squirtle " Squirtle greets Kanna with a smile.

Just as Kanna was about to pat Squirtle Pikachu gave him a thunderbolt.

"Kanna are you okay " Sri asked with a worried expression.

"I am okay Sri. Let us go to the orphanage it is already 8:15 otherwise we will be late" Kanna replied to Sri.

"Okay Squirtle come back" Sri called back her Squirtle and asked Kanna "Kanna are you not going to call back Pikachu" 

"Sri, apparently my Pikachu does not like to go inside Pokeball" Kanna replied to Sri.

"Pikac Pika " Pikachu also nodded his head.

Sri smiles while looking at both of them. Finally, all three members start walking towards the orphanage.

Kanna gets electrocuted several times by Pikachu while going to the orphanage. Finally when they reached the Orphanage Sri called her Squirtle out and allowed it to play with the children and Pikachu also enjoyed playing with small children. After half an hour, the orphanage Administrator calls Sri and Kanna to the Administrator's office.

Inside the administrator's office,

"Kanna and Sri, I hope you both will travel together and it will become easier for you to get used to the outside world," the Administrator says to both Kanna and Sri in a worried tone and gives them both two envelopes and continues to say "Inside each of this envelope there are 5000 Pokemon Dollars given by the government to the orphans who are starting their journey as Pokemon trainers, don't misuse it and use them wisely".

Both Kanna and Sri were startled because 700 Pokemon Dollars were enough for an ordinary family of four with four Pokemon in the family to live for a month.

"Okay, professor we will both travel together and not misuse the money you gave us" Kanna assures the Administrator.

Kanna was somewhat saddened to hear about the death of the original owner's parents.

Pikachu and Sri also feel sad for him. 

Administrator on noticing Kanna's saddened expression changes the topic and asks "Kanna and Sri where have you decided to go for your first gym battle"
