The favored wife

Kiara's POV

I secretly escaped from the palace and decided to visit my stepmother and stepsisters. I know they're mad because they never expect that their father will never leave anything for them.

I thought Kiara's dad was too in love with Lou and this woman was hated by her dad but I was wrong. She was loved by her father.

I was standing in front of a mansion and the tenant said they're renting this place. I raised my hand and created a fireball. I burned their door and Lou came out after that. She raises her hand and creates a boulder but it turns to mud after I use my water ability.

"How dare you! You have the face to come here after what you did to Kate?!" she roars.

I scoff and create water and a fireball in my hands. I will show her that I'm not just a duchess but someone who can destroy their lives completely.

I know and I can feel it. She's the mastermind behind my dad's death. I will find evidence and make sure that she will kneel while asking for forgiveness.

She tries to trap me by manipulating the ground on which I'm standing but I jump off and use fire to attack her. I manipulated the mud and threw it on her.

"I will find evidence, Lou. I will make you pay for taking my dad's life. You and Kate have met a nemesis that will bring karma to the two of you. Tell this to Kate. She can no longer touch my husband," I asserted firmly.

"I won't fucking let her. If she uses dark magic to make Enrico fall for her, then I will end that curse. You two will never get the chance to leave this place. Not even in your dreams," I added.

I raise my hand and throw a ball of water in her muddy face. Lou glares at me and before she can attack me again, I throw a fireball in their house and she has no choice but to check that first.

I walk away, jump on the horse and leave this place. I already paid for the damage I'll be doing to that house, told the owner to send someone to fix it and even bought it secretly.

I went back to the palace and the man I saw standing with a dark expression on his face was my husband.

The caretaker of the stable was bowing his head, which means he told Enrico what I did. I jumped off the horse and landed in front of them.

"Take the horse. I'll take the blame for my actions," I utter.

He grabbed the leash of the horse and left us. His confidant was beside him and they were hiding their laughter. They bow their heads and leave us alone. I look at Enrico and I brush my nape.

"I apologize, your majesty. I've escaped again and I'm ready to take the punishment for my action," I remark.

His piercing eyes were trying to make me tremble in fear but I made sure that he wouldn't notice that I'm nervous and scared too. I cleared my throat and looked around.

I just can't gaze into his eyes without feeling uncomfortable. He walks away and yet I don't feel any sign of relief. I feel like it would be more dangerous if he left me with such anger. I run towards him and embrace him.

"I know it's my fault and I'm being unruly again. I went to see Lou and Kate. I created a ruckus there, just like Kate did but I promise I didn't hurt her. I swear!" I explained. What is wrong with me? I feel like I'm scared that he'll hate me, for whatever reason it could be.

I'm Kallie and not Kiara. I know that but this is strange. Is it because Kiara was already in love with Enrico and I'm feeling the same way because I'm in her body?

He turned around and kneeled a little. He grabbed my waist and carried me like a sack of rice. Enrico spanked my butt and instead of being offended, I blushed instead. Shit! He finally spoke.

"You will be punished for breaking the rules of my household. We will talk privately," Enrico asserted.

I didn't say anything and just waited until we got inside his office. He even locked the room and put me on his desk. Instead of yelling at me, his lips started caressing mine, which is different from what he typically does.

It was hotter and I feel like he wants me. I opened my lips and he traced it using the tip of his tongue. I feel his palm as he intertwines our fingers.

I moaned because of his intense kiss. I feel like he is stealing the air from my lungs. My body starts to feel hotter and I know I'm being aroused by just a kiss, which is shameful. Is it because I've been a virgin in my world and never been touched by someone of the opposite sex?

"What if things didn't turn out the way you wanted? Don't tell me you will leave me behind and our kids. You're being too naive and walking straight into your grave and that's your sin. You're not just a wife but a mother."

He finally scolded me but not the way I expected it to be. I don't know if he's doing this in order to kill me and be with Kate but my heart was falling for it and that's what I'm scared of. I can't lose to him and yet I already am.

"I was mad. I feel like I'll burst anytime soon if I don't warn Lou and Kate. I was just…" I groan.

He kissed me lightly and stopped me halfway. He lifted my chin and I ended up grabbing his shoulder when he bit me in the neck.

"Your body is not just yours, Kiara. I owned it. You should be careful about how you use your body. Don't me madder, because you already know what kind of man I can be when I'm pissed," he whispered in my ear before licking it.

I covered my lips to control my loud moan. I feel like he's talking about the other way of punishing a person.

I pushed him a little and showed him how flustered I was. His eyes dilated and a crescent smile formed on his lips. Enrico started caressing my cheek.

"How beautiful," he commented.

I know my cheeks and ears became redder. My husband said those words so smoothly that my heart was beating so fast as if it wanted to jump off my throat. He placed his hand on my head and kissed my right eye, which I automatically closed. He smiled.

"So? How did you do it, hmm? I'm sure Lou was madder than she ever felt this morning," Enrico says.

"I just destroyed their main door and two windows. By the way, why did Sam and Markus come today?" I ask.
