"You got this," Yandel whispered in her ear, as he gently brushed her hair behind her ears, she could hear a faint "woo!" from someone, probably Ricky but right now all she felt was Yandel's hand around her and his steady heart beat.
It all felt to be really slowing down time taking a deep breath, she took the shot, she watched it roll slowly down towards the gutter before rolling back to the center knocking down all the pins.
A huge surge of happiness consumed her as she squealed shouting yes, she turned around and jumped on Yandel who was also wearing a wide grin on his face, he lifted her up as swung her around and she she kissed him on the check not really registering what she just did, but in that very moment, it all felt right.
Yandel's deep voice deep in her ears and his strong arms around her as he spinned her around before dropping her back on the floor, after the whole victory celebration dance they both turned back to the group to see all of them staring at them with a smile on their face while Emily was taking a video of them with a mischievous smile on her face.
"Honestly, I would have said get a room but I really will love to see you guys fuck each other like sex starved rabbits that you are," Ricky said, whistling and clapping at them.
"As perverted as that sounded, I agree with Ricky. That was hot and cute at the same time," Emily said, smiling at both of them. Araceli was really pretty and she knew she would make her brother happy but she didn't know why she couldn't get with her brother.
He was responsible enough, charming, and bore a striking resemblance to Keanu Reeves and everyone knows this, she still just couldn't comprehend why they wouldn't get together.
They all finally got their bowling shoes off and Yandel and Araceli went back to Angela to hand them over since they were due for the one hour rent they paid for.
"Hey, you are back. Did you have fun?" Angela asked as the smile on her face wrinkled the side of her eyes.
"Yeah, we are done, thanks." Yandel said, collecting the remaining shoes from Araceli and handing it back to her, Rachel took the time to survey the whole bowling hall, there were about nine bowling alleys all wooden brown in color.
It reminded her of when her mom and her boyfriend would take them to the bowling alley outside town every Friday after school to play bowling and eat ice cream, she would always order a cookie dough ice cream or chocolate chips ice cream while her sister was more on the plainer side taking vanilla and strawberries.
They stopped coming to the bowling alley when their mom's boyfriend lost his job and became an Alcoholic, She started working extra shifts at the hospital in order to cover up and pay up for her and her boyfriend but he got too comfortable and stopped looking for drugs before the big fight happened that landed her in the hospital.
It was her sophomore year in highschool and she was lagging behind in a lot of classes because she needed to support her mom. She didn't have a problem with lagging though because she knew she was smart and she would catch up later.
She went to the local club two streets away to watch some street band perform their entire album and eventually darkness caught her at the spot, leaving there at 7:30 she knew she was screwed but nonetheless it was worth it because the band was lit.
On reaching home, she could hear voices from afar, she heard her mother screaming and that put her on alert, she quickly ran towards the door only to find her sister crying, she had a little cut just above her eyes.
"Hey, what's going on? Where's mom? And who did this to you ?" Rachel questioned, she was already running on adrenaline, she always protected her sister even in school from bullying, she couldn't let the person get away with it.
"It's...it's Jason," Cara said, sniffing. The blood was already dried to her face and she had eye bags under her eye of her pale white face, she looked like she hadn't slept or eaten in three days.
"Jason?!" Rachel raged. Since he lost his job he has been acting like a dick, bossing them around their own house and now he has the audacity to hurt his sister, she wasn't going to let him get away with it.
"Where's Mom?" Rachel asked again, this time louder.
"She's inside fighting with him, she told me to wait outside and should not let you enter inside when you come till she opens the door for us to come in," Cara said, in a very weak and frail voice, the cold was definitely getting to her and if she didn't get her inside now, she might end up with a very bad cold.
"Bullshit…" Rachel muttered under her breath. She searched the pots in front of the house holding dead unattended plants, she found the spare she hid there whenever she needed to sneak back home from a party.
She used the back door to get in and the noise of a crying woman pierced through the air the moment she stepped in making her freeze in a spot for some seconds, she knew that was her mother's voice because she had heard that same cry of pain from her mother screaming in pain when the police announced that her father died in a car crash.
Her brain went into an overdrive as she took a roller used to flatten dough by her mom, and followed the voice from the argument. There was a blood splash on the wall which showed someone was definitely injured badly and she wikifeet silently that it was Jason and not her mother's.
It didn't take her long to find them in the sitting room, my mom had a bloody face and a knife in her hands with broken glasses all over the floor, the bastard didn't have any injury on him and this made Rachel super pissed, she ran straight for Jason and jumped over him even though they were broken glasses all over the ground and he could throw her on it, she didn't care, no one hurts her family member and gets away with it.
He swung her around trying to get rid of her off his back, she could hear her mom screaming at her to get out of the house but it was too late.
He used enough force to flung her towards the wall where she crashed against frame of their family vacation when she was 10, blood filled her ears making her not to hear well but she didn't care, she stumbled to her feet and went for him again before she was able to land a hit on the side of his head making him lose his balance, he dropped the glass and her mom dropped the nice and ran towards her, holding her, asking if she was okay.
Before she could reply she started seeing black dots soiling her vision and a sharp pain at her abdomen, she tried moving but the pain increased by a hundred fold.
She didn't need a soothsayer to tell her that the glass had pierced her. Her mother's gasp and shrill screams proved the thoughts in her head as she slowly started to feel consciousness slip between her fingers, her mom kept going in and out of focus as she tried gasping for air but her vision instead got pitch black.
"Hey," she felt hand shake her as she turned around to look at Yandel.
"Are you okay?" Yandel asked, a look of worry creasing his face.
"Yeah, I'm fine. Just got lost in thoughts," Rachel replied.
"You guys make a really cute couple," Angela said, smiling at both of them.
