It has been a month since Viserys accepted the three sisters. He paid a gold dragon to the village to free them; although it was overpriced, he didn't mind.
The second of the sisters showed him a bridge that was hidden deep in the hills. She told him that it was already there when she found it, and nobody in the village knew about it.
Nonetheless, the siblings, along with the girls, crossed the bridge. But their journey would be slow since they had to walk.
The two horses were already at the maximum, with one carrying the siblings and the other carrying the two trunks.
Viserys made the eldest one and her daughter use the horse with the trunks. Dany would be on the other horse with the two girls taking turns.
Viserys walked all the way, which he was a little grumpy about, but didn't let it show on his face.
They finally reached the forest of Qohor about five days ago.
Viserys and the two girls made a primitive hut using branches while the eldest took care of the fire and her daughter.
But they hadn't settled yet; currently, they were about west of the city of Qohor, and Viserys wanted to travel north, along the forest closer to the Axe.
During their journey, the group made sure to travel on the outskirts of the forest and didn't dare move inwards.
The forest is rumored to house mythical monsters and animals, which Viserys thought were stupid, but he himself held four dragon eggs, so he shut his trap and stuck to the outskirts.
It took them another three weeks before Viserys was satisfied that they were a considerable distance from any major city.
During the three weeks, Dany, after knowing that they were now safe and no one would come to get them, stubbornly asked to show her the dragon eggs.
But Viserys didn't agree; it was not that he was against showing them to her. But he wanted to find a place first before they talked about the dragons.
'She will definitely not stop after seeing the eggs,' Viserys mused as he rejected her.
Angry at her brother, Dany refused to talk to him for a day.
"Brother, can you show them now?" Dany asked, her lips pouting as she looked at her annoying brother.
Her cute face was etched with a deep frown as she demanded to see the eggs. 'Annoying brother!' She harrumphed inwardly.
They have already found a spot to build their house. It is on top of a hill that is a few hundred meters away from the forest.
They decided to build a primitive hut from wood while building a more permanent one from stones.
The eldest of the sisters smiled as she looked at Dany. The more the sisters spent time with her, the more they came to like her.
SIGH
Viserys sighed in defeat. "Wait until dusk, once we start a fire and build a shelter. I will show it to you." He reasoned.
But Dany didn't believe him; she narrowed her eyes as she glared at him and said, "Hmph!" She snorted at him and walked away.
GIGGLE
The eldest sister giggled at Dany's cute reaction.
Viserys sighed once again but got back to his work.
It took the group a few hours to make a primitive hut of wood and start a fire.
Right now, they are sitting around the fire, eating a loaf of bread.
Viserys was watching the fire, his purple eyes reflecting the burning flames in front of him.
'I have succeeded in escaping. It will take a long time before anyone can find traces of us, years, perhaps.'
Daenerys was sitting behind him, her hands curled into fists while she glanced at her brother with anticipation.
'He seems to be thinking of something…' she muttered inwardly. She might act spoiled, but she knew not to disturb her brother when he was thinking.
'The bread we have might feed us for another week or so, but after that, we have to hunt,' Viserys mused inwardly.
'Sending the girls to hunt is impractical. I should hunt during dawn while practicing sun breathing in the afternoon and spend time with Dany in the evening.'
Since there is no imminent threat for the group, Viserys didn't put heavy emphasis on training. 'The canon would start after a few years anyway; I have about four and a half years. It's enough to perfect this body for the breathing technique.'
Dany watched her brother intently, her eyes growing restless with anticipation and annoyance. "Stupid brother!" she muttered under her breath and pinched the man on his waist.
"Ah!" Viserys's body jerked at the stinging pain. He rubbed the spot where his sister pinched him and glared at her.
But Dany met her brother's gaze with equal intensity. Both siblings glared at each other while the sisters watched them as if they were watching a play.
"Show me the eggs!" Dany demanded.
Viserys's eyes widened a little as he understood his sister's annoyance. 'She must have felt like a kid who can only watch the ice cream but can't eat it.'
"Ugh, fine," Viserys groaned as he stood up from his spot and walked toward the trunks.
He opened the trunk and took out the dark chest, glistening under the fire.
The three sisters stiffened as they all stared at the chest. They had heard tales about dragons and how a family ruled with their help.
Viserys walked back to his spot; sitting back in his place, he beckoned Dany and the girls to come closer.
Dany's eyes had sparkled with a big smile plastered to her face. She sat beside her brother, her heart thumping against her chest as she stared at the chest.
"Quick! Brother, open it!"
The girls, too, came closer to the siblings and watched with intent eyes as Viserys opened the chest.
GASPS
A series of gasps escaped the sisters' lips while Dany's eyes widened with excitement as she looked at the eggs.
'They are majestic!' she thought inwardly as she extended her hand, caressing one of the egg.
There are four eggs in total: red, black, green, and creamy gold.
Viserys watched intently as she caressed the eggs; he wanted to know if she felt any connection to the eggs. "Dany, do you feel anything? Like a connection with the eggs?"
"I…."
