Pissing the teacher off

My mind kept on returning to the confession I got this morning. Sky left after his declarations, and I haven't seen him since then. He didn't join us for lunch at the cafeteria, neither did he attend morning classes. I would have asked Fan to go look for him, but I'm afraid of what I will say when I get to meet him.

I don't like Sky. There is nothing to think about, there. I only see him as a friend — nothing else. My problem is how to reject him without being harsh. I can't accept him either. I will only hurt him more when he realizes I'm only dating him out of pity.

"Is my cute host thinking of the golden-haired, Beta?" Fan giggled next to my ear, but I ignored him as I watched the door, hoping Sky will join us for class. He wasn't around throughout the morning, and I had to answer the first attendance for him —because the teacher didn't care.
