The Apocalypse Starts (IV)

Ace merely smiled before following him to one of the tables facing the windows.

From where they were sitting, they could see every single thing in the school and Ace couldn't help but admire the beauty of the school a bit.

The school was really beautiful, especially when you looked at it from above. From where he was sitting, Ace could see the school stadium which was the biggest thing in the entire school.

Unlike most school parks though, this stadium was actually the size of a real stadium stretching several feet's across. From the size alone, one could imagine the size of the school.

*Ding!*

Ace suddenly looked over, seeing a blue screen appearing on the table net to his food.

Ace just chuckled in his head before dismissing the message with his hand.

The tables they used when eating had an computer system built into it. It included a health A.I checker which always checked the contents of the food eaten by the students.

If the food didn't contain enough nutrients, a small message will appear on the table suggesting foods that could be added to make the food rich in nutrients.

If the food contained too much nutrients then.....

*Brrrrrrringgggggg!!!!*

A robotic alarm suddenly sounded through the entire cafeteria making everyone turn to Ace's table.

Ace couldn't help but face palm in his head, however, his expression didn't change at all.

On the opposite end of the table, a red screen popped up right infront of Will who tried his best to clear it away. It was too late though, as the alarm had sounded in the entire room startling everyone.

Inorder to hide his embarrassment, will pretended to be angry at the A.I, calling it noisy before showing everyone an appologetic smile— the same one he had shown to Ace earlier.

When the surrounding students saw the food on his plate their eyes widened before the snorted and turned away.

What are you feeling sorry? It's clearly not the A.I's fault for being noisy! Who eats this kind of food in the morning?!!

Ace on the other hand didn't really show any expression throughout. He picked his burger and started to eat.

Seeing that Ace didn't seem to have a bad opinion about him, Will sighed in relief before Picking his cutlery and digging in.

...

Their breakfast went on for sometime with uninterrupted silence. Will, not being able to stand the silence finally spoke.

"So, how did you get to this school?" Will asked, "Honorary or Exams?"

"Exams... " Ace stated after drinking his milk shake.

Just like most of the popular schools in the capital, Rainbow High admitted students into the school two ways: Honorary or the writing of an exams.

Honorary students were, just like their name suggested, honored students who got into the school due to their families. Every year, a certain amount of tickets are given to the seven dukes of Vord City.

These tickets could be used to admit a certain number of students into the school. These students are normally already popular in their respective fields before even coming into the school, making them somewhat of celebrities.

To put it bluntly, these students are only able to get into the school using their connections and their families.

On the other hand, people like Ace who didn't have enough connections but believed in themselves had the chance to take an exams. Those who passed were then admitted intothe school.

"You got in through the Exams?" Will asked, his eyes widening in shock.

"Hmm... " Ace nodded, picking up his half-eaten burger.

"Oh my God... You are genius then!" Will exclaimed.

"Nah, I barely passed," Ace smiled and said. After being around Will for a few minutes now, he realized that he was very optimistic and full of good vibes.

You can't help but be affected by his behaviour....

"Everyone barely passed. Don't underplay your achievement! Passing the exams alone is a great thing. Out of thousands of people, you were part of the first 500 students. How could you not be happy about that?" Will said, shoving a spoonful of his 'breakfast' into his mouth.

"I never said I wasn't happy... " Ace corrected.

"Whatever... " Will rolled his before diving back into his food.

Ace merely smiled and didn't reply turning his attention to the view outside the window. Once again, he couldn't help but sigh when he saw how beautiful the school was.

Without doubt, the person who designed the school did very well.

Slowly taking in the view, Ace's eyes landed on the school stadium. In fact, his eyes didn't need to roam at all, as the school stadium was right in front of him. Even if he wanted to watch something else, he wouldn't get the chance because of the size of the school stadium.

'That is where ours is going to open... ' Ace thought as he looked at the stadium frowning.

'Could it be that there is a earthen vien there?' Ace thought yet again. He shook his head mumbling,

"I already checked. If it was there, I would have found it."

"Hm? Are you saying something?" Ace suddenly heard Will's voice. Turning to look at him, he saw Will looking at him with his head cocked to the side, clear confused about something.

Ace had to admit. Even though Will was very 'mischievous', he had the bearing of a young master as he looked absolutely clean even with the amount of food he was eating.

This, paired with the dignified look between his brows made him look quite handsome.

The only thing that served as a contrast to the situation was the food. Thinking about this, Ace's face couldn't help but twitch as he stared at Will.

What kind of young master has this type of appetite?!!!
